They provide wonderful customer service. They charge very fair prices and are extremely resourceful in finding inexpensive ways to fix cars. What I really appreciate about them is their kindness. The timing belt fell off while I was driving one night and I panicked and called the owner. He was extremely compassionate and did not seem angry that I had probably woken him up! I personally believe that he would have been justified in being irritated and hanging up on me. Instead, he comforted me and even offered to pick me up. Thankfully, I had roadside assistance so he did not have to come get me. I never thought I’d write a review about a mechanic with a heart of gold. Within a few days, the timing belt was fixed for a much cheaper price than other mechanics charge. They also do a very good job and do not try to charge for unnecessary services. My car is a piece of junk and they understand that I am not going to pay tons of money to fix it. Thus, they find cheap ways to fix the problems so this poor student can make it to her classes without going broke.

Showed up at 4:45 on a Saturday afternoon in need of some power-​steering fluid; these gentlemen applied it expertly and free of charge! No better way to win over a first-​time customer.
I’m glad to find their Unilocal page already covered in 5-​star reviews – these are some genuinely friendly guys with a clear automotive acumen. Looking forward to the next time my car breaks down so I can patronize their business!

The unanimously five-​star ratings initially made me suspicious. I thought: are these reviews real?
However, with a $ 19 oil change groupon deal, I went with them anyway and ended up going back again for a power steering pump replacement.
In short, they deserve the five stars!
During my oil change:
1. Cheap and quick oil change with an appointment.
2. No bullshit. They told me I had a power steering pump leak. (I had been hearing noises from my engine for a while; but, not being a car person, I wasn’t sure what the problem was.) But the way they informed was to simply ask me if I wanted a quote and to come back to them if I decided to go with them. No pressure whatsoever.
During my power steering pump replacement:
1. Very quick responses and updates about the process (parts, time frame, etc.)
2. Realistic about process. He told me about an hour and a half; and it actually took about an hour and a half.
3. Asked me if I had a ride back and forth and gave me a ride back to my apartment, saying that he was going that direction anyway.
4. Asked me if I minded if he brought my car to the apartment. And then did it!
Their price was very fair; and their service was above and beyond. Five star without a doubt.

Used a Groupon that was happily accepted. The gentlemen that own the establishment were courteous and super friendly. I asked about whether the tires needed rotating and they said they would only do if needed. Super honest and rotating not needed so saved a few extra dollars! Looking forward to taking my other car there next and if any issues would definitely consider ACE AUTO CARE for a quote.

I went in today for an oil change (they’re only 19 dollars on groupon right now!) and I left extremely satisfied! Ace is a small, family owned business ran by some outstanding people. I had a HUGE dent on my front bumper and since I was already there, I asked if they could give me an estimate on how much a repair would cost. They took one look at it and told me that they would push out the dent as best they could – FREE of charge! Other places told me that I would be lucky to get that dent pushed out for a minimum of a couple hundred dollars. While his dad was working on my car, the manager answered all of my little car questions and was very kind. Thank you for the great service! I will most definitely be back and I highly recommend Ace Auto Care to everyone!

Azizi (unsure if I’m spelling it correctly) is amazing!!! He literally fixed my Audi A4 bumper lip for FREE after it falling off on the highway randomly. I found this place desperately looking for someone to help and he just saved my enitre day!

This family owned business has great customer service. They did major work on my older Subaru and gave it more life!

Safi is amazing! I called after my car had overheated on the side of the road. He offered to contact some tow companies for me. When I called him back to explain my insurance didn’t cover it, he offered to come to my rescue. He came with jugs of water and let me drive the car he came in back to the shop while he drove mine. He had to stop throughout the way to put more water. I had not been able to find a mechanic in the bay since moving here, but after the amazing service I received there’s only one place I’ll be going to wiry car problems.

I would give them 6 stars if i could. These guys are fast, efficient, and helpful. They’ll take care of you with great customer service. I highly recommend!

I first want to say they’re pretty helpful and nice. They inspected some other person’s brakes for free and then gave them an honest opinion on what should be fixed. I was there reading so I heard everyone’s conversations with them.
I had an appointment at 9am today. The mechanic arrived a minute or two late (don’t remember his name). I’m patient, and I brought a book to read. My car had the check engine light on, so I bought a OBDII tool (20 bucks) and found out what was probably wrong with it. It does require some research. I wanted to see if I could fix it myself. I couldn’t. This one said it was likely my O2 sensor or some component/​wiring/​something, involving it.
Over the phone, I was quoted the price of the part (the O2 sensor), and the labor cost, which was 1 hour. My car was there for 2.5 hours. My car’s a bit rusted on the bottom, enough that it made the sensor difficult to get out (common for my vehicle, I learned from researching). Sometimes you need a special tool for it. Anyways, it took longer than they expected. I think they used something (penetrating oil, I’m guessing) and let it sit while he worked on another car, which I didn’t mind at all, there’s nothing he could do.
They held to their quote of one hour, and I was happy about it, so I didn’t ask about the discounts.
It all works, the check engine light is off, and my car sounds a lot better idling and driving.
On a side note, I’ve noticed a sound coming from my car. I had video of it (for the sound) and showed him. When he started my car to drive it into the bay, I could hear it happening. I asked him to check into it, also. I was expecting to pay more for this, because they didn’t quote me for anything involving this issue. When I paid for the parts/​labor of the o2 sensor, he informed me that my muffler was rusted and needs to be welded back together, but that it’s not so bad that it needs to be replaced (most mechanics want to charge you for everything). He also said the sound might be the wheel bearings, I believe, but that he wasn’t 100% sure, and that it wasn’t bad enough to need fixing yet, and to come back when/​if it gets worse.
I’ve been to plenty of mechanics before, and they’ll find the most minor thing wrong and they’ll want to charge you a bunch to fix it. They were honest and said I’d be fine for a while. Didn’t charge me anything extra.
I’m only here for the summer, and I’ll be leaving the state soon (school), but if I’m ever in town and need an auto repair, I’ll likely come back here.

Wanted to mount my tires, but Sears was being a pain in the ass. So I ended up at ACE AUTO CARE in Lafayette. Great customer service, offered me free drinks on a hot sunny day! (Everyone should do that)
Basically they worked on my car really fast and did a great job on them.
Does great job and employees were all focused.
Took them 30 mins or less. I recommend it!

Mellow Motors wanted to charge me $ 7,900 for a new transmission on my BMW x3 when I suggested it might be the gear selector Mellow Motors said the diagnosed it and it was not. So I got a second opinion, and low and behold, it was the Gear Selector…$ 695 vs $ 7,900! Definitely taking my car back to AAMCO… and NOT mellow motors

Efficient, helpful, went the extra mile, literally! They helped me get to an appointment elsewhere while they changed my oil. It’s taken decades to find a great mechanic and the search is over!

These guys are literally the best! This is my new place from now on and I wont be taking my cars to the dealer anymore! Most importantly they are so friendly and honest, and work to give you the best deals, with discounts for students.
I took my first car there for service and they were finished at no time. For my second car I was given a quote of over $ 3000 by the dealer and Ace Auto informed me my car was completely fine without that service. I was also told that I need to replace my break pads immediately, while Mr. Azizi at ace auto actually showed me how the brakes work and told me I had over 3 – 4 months of brake life left.
I cannot recommend this place enough and my whole family can trust them with our cars! They even have a personalized website now where you can see the history of the services done to your car with detailed descriptions, which I think is more than awesome since I always lose my paper invoices.
