Customer service is unacceptable. They are totally not customer-driven and make zero attempt to rectify any dissatisfaction. Nice shoes, but not worth the effort it takes to interact with the folks that work there. They could use some coaching about how to respond to a customer’s concern.

ZEROSTARS! I unfortunately took my wedding shoes to Shoe Bar after being referred to them by my bridal salon. At my first visit, it took 5 minutes for anyone to ask if I needed any help(as I stood at the cash register). I left my shoes with a sample of fabric to match and we negotiated a pickup date for two weeks later, a few days before my wedding dress fitting. They made me prepay. I should have known from the start that this would be trouble. Two weeks later, when I called to ask if I could pick up my shoes, they hadn’t started yet– the owner stated that my box was hidden under something else in his back room and he lost track of them. The next day, as the owner, Robert, was dying my shoes, he called to say he couldn’t match my color and I had to choose something else. The trouble really began after I picked up my shoes and took them home– Blue dye was coming off all over my hands and feet when handling and wearing the shoes, respectively. I had a clear crystal jewel on the toe of my shoes; one of which was dyed blue and one of which wasn’t. When I asked Robert about removing this dye from the crystal, he said to use rubbing alcohol. It didn’t work. I took my shoes back to Robert after wearing them to my dress fitting for an hour and found that my feet were dyed blue for TWODAYS. Robert’s lowest point was at this return trip where he repeatedly ignored my complaints, stated that the dye«isn’t coming off» even though standing in front of him, my hands were clearly blue after swiping my hand over the fabric only once. He argued with me like an immature teenager and absolutely refused to help me or give me a refund for his unacceptable product. Only AFTER I became tearful did Robert agree to try to «fix» the problem; he first offered to buy the shoes off of me for only the $ 25 I paid him to dye them. After I refused this ridiculous suggestion, he said that he could try to fix them by removing any excess dye and cleaning out the stone. He promised he’d send them to his«shoe maker» and have him remove the stone to clean and replace it if necessary. He stated this would take 2 days. Six days later, I still had no word from Robert. My fiancée called during the day and Shoe Bar rudely took a message upon his first call, hung up on him upon his second, and finally told him that the shoes were completed upon his third call. On the 7th day, my fiancé and I went to pick the shoes up, at which time Robert did not address me once but instead spoke directly to my fiancée. AND my shoes were still bleeding blue and the crystal looked worse than before. I’m not convinced that he did anything during the week that he had them. He asked if he could have more time to keep trying, making more empty promises. When I said no thank you, Robert tersely ordered his cashier to give me a store credit for $ 15 — arbitrarily $ 10 less than what I paid his lousy store to dye the shoes. I will NEVER go to this store again. Robert is rude. He is also a terrible business owner. He offers the WORST customer service I have ever, EVER encountered and I will go out of my way to warn other brides or women about my experience with him at this store.
