Used to love going here when they first opened. Things went down hill from there. Prices got higher, service levels got lower. The last straw was as we were eating I watched the male owner go to the food line I assumed to tidy up the mess. Well he tidied up alright, by picking up raw meat that made it’s way out of the container onto the counter area with his bare hands and putting it BACKINTO the container for the next customer. I was thoroughly appalled. We got up and left at that moment never to go back.

The food here is great. The all you can eat grill bar is the best. I recommend this place for a very good hole in the wall. Hidden mom and pop place!

Never in my life have I had to deal with this level of nasty and disrespectful restaurant owners. I called to discuss an issue with an order and I was told there was no issue and that it was lunch time and they were busy. What a horrible experience! If I could rate them a zero I would!

I have gone to this restaurant many times and each experience has gotten worse and worse. Tonight’s experience was poor enough to warrant a terrible review and a promise to the owner that I would NEVER return. My husband and I arrived at about 5:45PM with our sleeping, infant son. There were two tables of customers and we stood at the door for several minutes waiting for the sole waitress/owner to seat is in her virtually empty restaurant. Read: my husband stood there holding my son in his car seat while we should have just been told to pick a table. We told the waitress we were having the grill, ordered our drinks and were told to help ourselves. I made my plate and the young man working the grill served it up. Upon sitting down and getting ready to dive in I find two large, completely uncooked and ICE cold meat on my plate. Having seen the multiple signs all over the buffet about their request to not waste food and seeing about 10 more customers in line at this point I decided to pick it out and eat the rest. After I had finished and went to get a second plate(hopefully cooked as I didn’t come to sushi night) the waitress finally returned to our table where my husband showed her the raw meat. I get back to the table and find again, totally raw cold pork on my plate. I was done. Disgusted. My husband also had raw pork on his plate. The restaurant had 9 tables at this point and we waited and waited for our bill. It came, I showed her the additional raw meat and she didn’t say anything. No apology, no offer to discount the bill. I went to the counter to pay and again told her how upset I was that I was served totally raw meat and advised they were going to end up getting people sick. She told me(despite her many signs advising not to waste food) that I should have just gotten another plate as if the third time would have been a charm. I told her I couldn’t believe that she didn’t offer to discount the ticket or even apologize as I wrote in a big fat ZERO in the tip line of my debit receipt. She shook her head and walked away. I will never return and will share my bad experience as I told her that her service or lack thereof would be shared as the Internet is a powerful thing. If you look around the grill area cleanliness is not their forte and the place is filthy. Tomorrow the Heath department will be notified. Go elsewhere unless you want that sushi that’s not supposed to be sushi.

Horrible service and food is poor. Our server/cashier, an older woman, was rude and throwing things. We waited for ten min just for water

Good Mongolian selection and offers to go plates which makes it nice for us on nights we don’t want to stay out.

I love the Mongolian grill. Unfortunately one morning my lady and I were the first and only people in there. I ate one plate and went back for another. When i got back to my table the lady hostess /waitress /owner yelled at me. She said you eat to much! I don’t make money off of you!!! I felt so upset at the time but as time went on I was willing to forgive. But my lady said hell no F that place we are never going back. My lady is right that was wrong of her. Don’t offer a buffet if you don’t want people having seconds. I decided to get justice and make a Unilocal review about this incident. Ah justice…

Not the best Mongolian BBQ I’ve ever had. Extremely expensive too for the food not being so good. The waiter was pretty rude as well, she acted like it was a burden to serve us. Mongolian is my favorite food however so I would come back only because it’s the closest one to us.

I read many reviews before I came here and was definitely on the fence about coming but decided to give it a shot. I would give it a 2.5 if that were an option because I was neither impressed not disappointed. I read many reviews complaining about price. Please excuse me if you are having hard times financially, but, I do not consider $ 10.95 for an all you can eat Mongolian BBQ to be expensive. After a full plate of food and a beer plus a tip I was out the door for under 18 bucks, not bad for all you can eat. The service was nothing impressive. It took a while for someone to come talk to me when I walked in and they were quite short with me, which is what I expect from a hole in the wall traditional Chinese place. I did get what I wanted when I asked for it which was all good in my lunch world. Now on to the food. I got the Mongolian bbq. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The meat was mostly frozen but still was sitting out in the open air serving tray, which kinda sketched me out, but wasn’t thawed out so I was good. The cook was friendly and quick. The sauces tend to be on the oily side and aren’t bold in flavor. The garlic sauce looks like they buy a Costco diced garlic jar and dump it in the serving tray. But again it is all you can eat so I wasn’t expecting hand diced garlic. I was satisfied with my meal, but, I would not take an out of town guest here by any means. Definitely think there is a high chance of msg as well in the sauces. Over all I would come back if I needed a quick fix but there is so much better Asian food in the Olympia area that I don’t feel like it is necessary to settle for something that is a slight step up from Panda Express at a higher price. Olympia is still in need of a quality Chinese food savior!!!

We just recently moved up here and have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant tried a couple others in the area and they were terrible. So tonight we thought would give it one more try. Decided to order for delivery from Shanghai. They told us 45 minutes and in less than 30 minutes they were knocking on our door. We got the family meal for 3 with happy family, fried rice and chow mein and it was delicious! Hong Kong style chow mein was savory and well cooked the fried rice was excellent with lots of bean sprouts, the BBQ pork is homemade and even the egg flower soup is tasty. And I’m not a fan of egg flower soup. We will definitely order from here again.

The only staff member that was nice was the lady who greets you when you walk in. The grill chefs don’t say a word to you and don’t care if your food mixes with another persons. The food was tasteless and not worth it. Also plays horrible pop music. Wouldn’t recommend/wouldn’t come back. Hot Iron grill is 1000 times better.

This place is nothing special but not bad either. Just«A-Ok» so it gets a solid 3 star rating. We were in the area and the wife(Chinese) always wants to check these places out. She was okay with it but not that impressed either. We didn’t get sick so I was happy.

We ordered food from the menu, and all of it was yummy. Sesame chicken didn’t have too much breading; curry beef was flavorful and not too spicy; shrimp fried rice was good; beef chow mein was a little greasy. Pot stickers were a little doughy and maybe a tad more vegetables in the stuffing would have been nice. Our waitress was very sweet and prompt. Overall a good experience; we’ll be back to try the grill next time.

Ehhh lo mein has so much garlic!!! Chicken is all dark meat, fried rice has chunks of raw onions and the meat looks like leftovers… They really do not deliver or at least haven’t had a driver every time we call

I have been there a couple times over the past couple years, only because I LOVEMONGOLIANGRILL… This weeks visit, I realized it will be my last time… Each time I visit I REGRET choosing this place. Its VERYDIRTY. I saw employees handling money and then food with out washing hands and bathrooms are GROSS… The walls are covered in sticky looking black stuff… Its expensive for bad service, mediocre mushy noodles and to be served by a business owner who would allow their business to be as dirty as this place is… I will have to make the long drive to «Jasmine» in the Commons Mall in Federal Way. Its a LONG drive for a lunch or dinner, BUTWELLWORTH not eating at this restaurant again…

This place is a crap shoot. We’ve tried both the Mongolian grill and the Chinese food. I liked the Mongolian grill, but it’s kind of expensive for the slim variety of choices offered. The Chinese food was pretty terrible and I found myself with an upset stomach for hours after dinner. The service is ok, but nothing really friendly or great. The Chinese choices in Olympia/Lacey are less than ideal. This place is the best of the worst. I would ONLY recommend the Mongolian part of this restaurant as edible, but only if you’re willing to chance mild food poisoning.

1. Food is good, selection of veggies etc. Is limited for a mongolian grill! 2. Staff is rude! My son had an allergic reaction to seafood because of cross contamination. When we abruptly had to leave(to go to ER) the lady yelled at us and charged us extra because my hubby had just made a second plate and we had to leave it. No box allowed and medical takes priority.

I’ve been here twice and love their mongolian grill buffet. The service isn’t the greatest but I’m willing to overlook that for the good food.

This is a traditional American Chinese food restaurant and also an all you can eat Mongolian Grill where you select your own ingredients and they are stir fried for you on a flat top cook grill. Their Chinese selection is the traditional fare: fried rice, moo shu pork, egg foo yong, 7 soup selections, chow mein, kung pao chicken etc. You get the idea. It’s the best cheap Chinese that I’ve found in the Olympia area. Most dishes are around $ 8 for nice large quart sizes and comes with rice. This is the only place around Olympia that serves old school egg foo yong. You get the idea. They can make everything with tofu which is a good quality and they have seasonal veg specials too. Last night i had their Sichuan green beans with tofu which was great with just enough heat. They serve a lunch special 11 – 3 for $ 6.50−7.25 with an entrée, soup, fried rice, egg roll. The physical site is nothing fancy and could use an update but i usually just get take out. I like that they use paper boxes. Nothing worse than those styrofoam dinner boxes for leaky chinese. I haven’t tried the Mongolian pick your own, but the selection looks fresh and good quality. Nice meats, egg, veg, rice noodles, you add your own sauce. I am usually pretty sensitive to MSG, and while the food is very salty and I’m sure includes glutamates of some sort, i haven’t had any bad reaction.

I understand that the cooks can get confused when it’s busy. But when you a) let people jump ahead of others in the lineup b) blame the customer for the cooks handing the food to the wrong customer and telling them to just make another plate and get back in line after 20 minutes of waiting — you don’t get my business anymore. The cook wanted me to take someone else’s plate of food– with none of the ingredients that I had selected. Seriously? When I explained that I didn’t have another 30 minutes to wait for my food, the owner shrugged and walked away.
