History

Established in 2003.

Dental Care of Lacey was originally located near PetSmart on Sleater-​Kinney Road. The office was relocated in 2011 in order to serve our patients in a larger & more convenient location. Come visit us and see for yourself, at 5024 Lacey Blvd SE.

Dr. Nielsen was raised in Shelton, WA and wanted to return to the Pacific Northwest after graduating from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.

My husband and I have seen Dr. Nielsen for a few years now and are very pleased with him and his staff. They are professional but also personable which is important! They are easy to schedule with and have great early appts at 7am! Gentle dentist and friendly hygienists, what more could you want.

After going to another dentist who didn’t check my insurance until after the cleaning (which I had to pay in full) I came here to get my teeth checked out since I was having pain in one tooth. They fixed that tooth and gave me a crown within the week. I am super scared of needles and pain and getting my teeth cleaned and a crown in place with painless. It was a seriously nice to talk to such a nice dentist. He has excellent bedside manner. The prices were very fair, too. The staff (dentist, hygienists, and office staff) are very polite and work with your schedule if you have work, kids, etc.
Because I’m military, I’ll have to move in a year or so. I’m sad to leave seeing that I finally found a dentist that I trust. I look forward to fixing the rest of my teeth with this dentist in the time I have left in Lacey.

Dentist was great! Unfortunately his bookeeping staff hasn’t a clue as to good bookeeping practices! One year after we went in and requested to pay a bill in full and did (or thought we did!) we received a balance of an additional amount of $ owed and a threat to take us to collections!!! In one year we had NEVER received a bill or a phone call, the last communication we had was that the bill was paid in FULL!!! We of course plan on taking care of it… but the receptionist answering the phone had no idea and a variety of excuses of why this happened without a very sincere apology! TOO many dentists in this town to choose from… avoid this one unless he replaces his office help!!!
