History

Established in 2013.

Two Peas was started by Vicki Reynolds & Debbie Burchard-​Klemmer. Debbie is the granddaughter of Ella Burchard (Flora & Ella’s Restaurant) and grew up in the food service business. Debbie & Vicki met as teenagers working for Ella and have been friends for over 40 years. Both love to cook and serve the public with quality food and a smile!

I have been in the food service business my whole life. My family had a restaurant in Labelle for 78 years. The business sold and closed down in 2011, and in 2013 my best friend and I opened Two Peas Café. My grandmother was Ella Burchard of Flora & Ella’s Restaurant, and she taught me to make her homemade pies.

If you want the taste of home cooking don’t pass this restaurant up. Very friendly service. The home made deserts and fudge are as good as your mother would make. They are open for breakfast and lunch, best place in Labella.

We were traveling across the state and stopped for gas. This café was recommended to us by Joe in the gas station parking lot. Being in an adventurous frame of mind, we decided to try it out. Our group of 5 ordered cheeseburgers, BLT, chicken salad and the special of country fried steak with sawmill gravy. The food was delicious! Cooked to perfection and SO tasty. We saved room for pie and so glad we did. It was delicious. If you are in this area, run don’t walk to this café! You won’t be disappointed.

In Labelle for work. Stopped by this café and was greeted warmly… atmosphere is so wonderful and had a small town charm. I had the fried green tomatoes BLT which was really good. And gingerbread fudge… delicious. I will be back!

Here is my 2 cents on the food. First they are known for the pies. We drove 25 miles for the taste of the pies. Well worth it… Be warned the pies goes quickly. If you want a particular pie, pecan, apple or cherry. YOU MUST call a day ahead of time to be sure to get it.
Anyway now the lunch. We had the special of the day a beef stroganoff and a simple grilled hotdog.
They allowed us to sample before we ordered. My wifey who is very picky really like it. BUT then she is from Brasil. They have a condiment which looks and taste like sand :-(. So … I liked it. It was not full of flavor but being in the heart of Florida this is consider exoctic cusine. LOL. My grilled hotdog hit the spot and was tasty… They do a hearty breakfast and a busy lunch time crowd .
So if in Labelle get a pie get a good meal.

Stopped by this awesome little café. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff and the owners are amazing and the café was very clean. I had a piece of peanut butter pie (yummy). Hubby had the chocolate pie both were absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to try their breakfast #cheatmeal #southerncookin
