I’ve been coming here for a few years. The chilaquelas are the best I’ve ever had. Everything is made fresh and has great flavor. If you’ve never been, you should treat yourself.

We had lunch here today, and we had a great time. The food was delicious, the décor is pretty, the place is spotless, and the service was friendly and attentive. We each ordered three tacos — chicken, al pastor, and chochinita pibil. All three were good, but my favorite was the chochinita pibil, which had a wonderful achiote flavor with pickled red onions on top. We tried three of the salsas from the salsa bar, and my favorite was the verde. Enjoy!

When ever you feel like some of the best shrimp enchiladas come here, also they have the best cabesa tacos, I recommend the enchiladas with green sauce fire!!! Very delicious

Food was pretty good but the customer service was terrible! I called to place a phone order for posole and two sopes, the lady repeated it back to me & said my total was $ 26 said ok went to pick up the food. I was wondering why it was so much so asked her & she said I ordered two tortas & posole! I told her no I didn’t you even repeated it back to me. She was getting extremely upset and started yelling at me In front of the whole restaurant, not sure why she was the one upset when she can’t pay attention & do her job correctly! Told her whatever I didn’t want it anymore another person came to help out & was kind enough to help me out and not yell at me unlike her for not being able to own up to the mistake she made. Would never come back again since I don’t even live in the area anyways.

Went there yesterday with my wife… damn great food. I ordered their chicken mole enchiladas and she ordered a wet burrito(asada). A BIG plus about them is that they have mole on their menu regularly… usually many restaurants out here run it as a special. Reasonably priced and very hole-in-the-wall…probably one of the best-kept secrets in Mexican cuisine out here in the Coachella Valley.

I’ve been coming here since it opened & I love it. I order for a lot of offices & every time I bring food from here, everyone raves. Chicken tacos, chicken burrito, & shrimp cocktail are my favorites. Husband & wife owned, & they have survived some pretty rough economic times over the last 10 years. I think you will agree with me that this place is GOOD!

Visited on a Monday @ 6:30pm, even though we were the only ones in there, still didn’t get good service. Had to call out for someone to come to the front to seat us. Ordered the chicken flauta meal. Flautas had a good shell and moist shredded chicken but were bland in flavor. Rice and beans were okay, plain, beans had no cheese on them. Chips weren’t great and guacamole seemed fake. Not like the kind we are used to that they mash at your table. Now that’s real guac! So overall, unimpressive. We won’t return. How hard is it to find a decent Mexican food place?! Arghh!

Ate tacos here a while back, and it was pretty good. Service was good and place was pretty clean. Will definitely come back some time.

Waitress was not very friendly when my family and I walked in, but we still decided to eat there. I ordered menudo & it was very salty, told the waitress & she took it back, I didn’t order anything else. My husband paid without looking at the bill but I asked if she charged for menudo I didn’t eat, she said yes because it wasn’t salty and accused me of adding salt to the menudo! Bad service, nasty menudo!

By far the most refined Mexican food in the area without having to pay high end dollars. Quality of the meats rival any high end restaurant. Best tasting burritos in the desert. You cannot go wrong with their chicken or carne asada.

One of the great Mexican food spots in the desert. Consistently high quality food. Great chili Verde, amazing fish tacos, the best chicken enchiladas in the valley for sure. The albondigas soup rocks!

Very good Mexican food! The sopes, chicken flautas and Asada tacos were all tasty. One suggestion would be to add a little more flavor and onions to the chicken in the flautas, but otherwise food was great! Our waitress was very friendly and service was great too!

There’s a reason this place is hidden… And that’s cuz it’s not worthy to be near hwy 111. Before I start I must say that I’ve been in the restaurant industry since 1997, back of the house and front. REALLYBAD… As soon as my wife walked in with the kids she seen the salsa bar near the entrance and glanced at it. And she noticed the owners wife looked at her with a crazy look. Very odd… ONESTARLESS After a while we received our drinks, horchata for everybody. which was homemade. Yum., then my chavela(ok) then I asked if they were going to bring chips cuz we didnt get none after we got seated… noticed that the owner lady was cleaning a table before she could of helped the waitress bring us chips to make us feel appreciated. THATS A DOBLEMINUSSTAR… So we didn’t wait long I would say between 12 and 16 minutes which is a good time… the kids got cheeseburgers and nuggets, those were good, my wife had a carne asada torta, my wife said the bread was good and soft. Meat looked like if it’s cooked per order very tasty… I got a carne asada plate that was ok. The meat was great, I didn’t like the presentation of my plate for $ 11.50 I would expect it to be a little more colorful and not just like rice beans and meat in a plate… For me that’s ONESTARLESS… So after I left this is how I feel. This place has good food. but I would not take my family there again… I think I would take like a friend or just grave some food to go. I must say the food is tasty and has a lot of potential if there service was to improve and their presentation was great. Who cares if the place is hidden… People would go there… and it be turned in to a bomb ass place… Good luck people…

The food was okay my husband and I had steak tacos and quesdillas. I would have given 3 stars but the lady at counter got our order wrong twice and wasn’t very friendly. Before our food came we asked for napkins because our cups were leaking and she only gave us two and didn’t bring more once the food was ready. The other people in the restaurant were given salsa and chips she didn’t offer us any.

BEWAREOVERRATED!!! After reading so many great reviews I had to stop and try it out… Since I’ve been keeping it real since 1987 here it goes… PROS: ~Nice ambiance and Jamaica drink was ok. ~ waitress was nice. CONS: ~ «Camarones a la diabla”(shrimp were over cooked, rice was bland, beans were ok. ~ Place is tiny ~ Music is Mexican but not Indian Mexican like the theme of the restaurant. ~ Menus are ugly and pictures of the food made me run for the safest choice… a Chicken Quesadilla. ~Chicken Quesadilla tasted less than ok.(Compares to Del Taco’s quesadillas) ~ Food temp was not hot enough. ~Chavelas were way too salty. ~ salsas lack flavor. I’m not racist in any way but all the good reviews are from white people. I’m sure it taste«authentic» to some but not to me.
