My wife gave me a certificate for a Swedish massage for Valentine’s Day. Been here before but this time was great. Asked Mandy if she wouldn’t be so ruff and a little softer with the massage. I almost feel asleep during it. Great service nice people. I’ll be back.

I had my best massage in Bangkok but this one took the cake. I had a male masseuse and he was amazing. I will go to this spa every time that I am in the desert. Do not pay the high price of the hotel spas, this one is definitely worth every penny. EXCELLENT!!!

No doubt, the best massage ever and I have lived all over the world. I am a long distance runner and Jack is able to find the problem and fix it — unlike anything on the orthopedic side.
Before paying the high prices at any resort, treat yourself to this very unique deep tissue massage that comes with immediate results.

Walked in and was immediately taken to a prepared room. The lady came in within 5 mins, turned down the lights and started a very relaxing swedish massage. She used just enough pressure and the oils smelled of plumeria. (One of my favorite scents). The $ 49 was very well worth it for the hour i was massaged. Would definitely recommed this place and i will be returning.

Had a good experience at JJ’s. Requested the Swedish and it was a relaxing, well preformed Swedish massage. Think I will try the «combo» next time which is Swedish with reflexology pkg.

Horrible! Could smell food cooking and their children crying in the back rooms. They don’t massage feet and I wonder if they are licensed.

Let’s be real here. I’m not going to spend $ 200 on a hotel massage unless it includes male models hand feeding me caviar and cheesy tater tots. So even though I was staying at a beautiful resort for a friend’s wedding with an unquestionably beautiful spa, I opted for a frill-​free $ 50 massage. In LA, a $ 50 massage can get you a very good therapist in a professional office but apparently is much harder to find in PS.
My friend and I walked in first thing in the morning when they opened and although we called ahead, the woman seemed surprised to see us. It took about 10 minutes for us to get our rooms, and another 15 minutes before my masseuse walked in.
Over all, my full body massage was just okay. I’m a deep tissue addict, and tried asking for more pressure but I don’t think she had it in her… or she didn’t understand what I was saying. Apparently, my friend’s massage was better but it might have been because she kept telling him how smart and handsome he was. The ego massage was probably better than the actual body massage. I can’t hate too much because again, it was only $ 50 (but I’ve definitely had better).

Just had a Deep Tissue Massage. Possibly the best massage I have ever experienced. I admit I was skeptical after reading a few of the reviews, but my husband was kind enough to set up this appointment.
They were very professional and friendly. If I lived in the Palm Desert area, I would definitely go back.
My only small complaint is this: you could hear every sound coming from the hallway and lobby area. Not quiet and serene as I’d hoped. But, not a huge deal today!

I had a massage here a couple months ago, and didn’t really enjoy it. They cover you with these itty bitty pink towels that hardly cover your body… But the overall massage, just wasn’t that great. I wouldn’t go back.

They were great. Were able to get all 3 of us girls in while vacationing and it was only $ 45 a piece. Full body or just back and neck/​shoulders. We all walked out feeling like $ 1,000,000.00! (and we were violated :))

Fantastic massage. Probably the best Swedish I’ve had in months.
If I’m in the area, I’d go back again. Hope they stay in business a long time.

My hope is that this review will help with anybody who might be contemplating a massage in the la Quinta area.
My wife and I have been clients of JJ’s spa for the last 4 years. They have always been diligent with giving us great service.
Both Jenny and Jack (owners) make sure to hire and train massage techs that are not only good at their trade but are also friendly and professional.
If for some reason their has been a problem or misunderstanding, all you have to do is let Jack or Jenny know in a kind and professional manner and they are quick and more then willing to fix it. Their main concern is always making the customer comfortable.
I’m happy to say that they have raised the bar of excellence with the brand new spa where they have added more staff along with all new décor and fixtures. CONGRATS to JJ’s Spa !!!

They have a new location is pretty good and the massage was great, it was so relaxing I almost fall sleep lol.
$ 49 plus tip is not bad!

Ask for a combo foot/​back massage (²⁰⁄₄₀) and ask for May. She was thorough and fabulous. They do straddle you on your bed; but so they do not injure their body while giving massages. So go, enjoy and leave a new person.

–If you’re not used to getting nakey for a massage, this isn’t your place…
–If you’re not used to strangers touching you in intimate «spots», this isn’t your place…
–If you’re expecting a nice, posh and foo foo spa, this isn’t your place…

–Expect a hole in the wall with 3 private rooms (with tables and curtains) and 3 chairs by the lobby.
–Expect to be upsold. We were suckered into a deep tissue when we wanted Swedish massages. $ 45 1 hour Swedish vs. $ 60 1 hour deep tissue.
–Expect miscommunication. When I called, I clearly asked a question about pricing. The dude who answered the phone said to come in at 8. HUH? How does that even come close to how much a massage is???
–Expect for these chicks to use their feet and/​or legs when doing a deep tissue. They will climb on you as you’re laying face down and they straddle you.
Experience:
–Luckily, we walked in where there was no one there and 2 girls were able to massage us in 2 different rooms (no couples rooms). It may be best to call ahead to see if you’re able to get massaged at a particular time.
–If you’re a dude coming in for a massage, just take it all off. Boxers/​briefs/​whatever will be asked to be removed.
–If you’re a chick and wearing underwear, you’re ass will be fully exposed as they will yank your underwear down and stick their finger by your hoo-​haw to pull your underwear down so it is not sticking to your cooch. UGH, uncomfortable — YA! (You will be given a towel to cover up, but it won’t matter since your body will be exposed anyways.)
–They use some type of oil to massage you. When it came down to massaging my ass, I seriously felt that she was going to put something up there as she kept on spreading my cheeks. HOLY ISHT, I was scared! HA!
–Also, the chick who massaged me had long hair in a ponytail. Her hair kept brushing up against my neck, which felt kinda creepy when she was straddling my back and rubbing my ass… AWKWARDDDDDDD… Needless to say, I clenched my ass and prayed «oh pls no… oh pls no»…
Although the price is right, I wasn’t too thrilled with the upsale after I specifically said I wanted a Swedish nor the fact that I felt a little «weird» during the massage.
Overall, the massages were good and would recommend if you’re not shy with your body…

After finishing an Olympic distance triathlon in Palm Springs we absolutely did not prepare for, my girlfriend and I were thoroughly sore and beat up. The time had come to spring for a massage. We called around looking for places accepting walk-​ins and JJ’s was available. For $ 90 ($ 45 each) we got an hour massage: 20 minute foot massage and 40 minutes back, legs and scalp. They did a great job and I’m impressed for the price and availability. We went from groaning messes to smiling tired people.

Best massage from Nina I’ve ever had. Seriously better than at a resort spa! Amazing!!! Great prices too. So good we went back the next day for a foot massage, which included a neck massage. Pure heaven!!!

This Chinese massage spa is one of the best values you will ever find. The one-​hour Swedish is only $ 49 plus tip. It can be very intense – no need to pay more for deep tissue. Soft, medium or hard options. Someone is usually available for a short-​notice appointment or a daytime walk-​in. Jenny is the owner, and all of her girls are usually upbeat and sometimes cute. They are all about equally skilled, but each one has a slightly different technique. The tables are very comfortable and also heated in the winter. Music is perfect. Draping is minimal. The oils and lotions are high quality. All of the girls get up on the table, and some do backwalking so you have a 100# Chinese girl balancing on your back or butt with her feet or knees. Sometimes there is a gentle up-​sell for more time.

So, to me, Palm Springs is all about getting away and relaxing. It’s far enough to be away, but close enough to not be Las Vegas. :) The hubby and I were out here a while ago and I wanted a massage. The hotels/​country clubs/​casinos all have day spas, but I didn’t want to spend $ 80 for a Swedish massage that I can get in Long Beach for $ 55. We drove around trying to find out where the local people eat and we found JJ’s spa in a strip mall off of Highway 111. It was close to our hotel and is right next door to nail salon.
Now, there’s nothing fancy about this place. My masseuse was male (which doesn’t bother me) and he was very friendly. My massage was very relaxing and the price was just right. They had other services that I would have liked to have tried, but I wanted to get back to spending time with the hubby.
So, if you’re in Palm Springs and you want a relatively-​inexpensive massage, go to JJ’s. :)
