One of my favorite stores in town, can spend hours there.

Each time I enter the Hobby Lobby, I want to redo a room in my home. This place gives me inspiration. Prices are great!

Great selection and service. Prices are high, but their products are really great. I’m so glad we finally have a Hobby Lobby here in the desert. Personally, I think it is great that they are a christian company. I love that they take a public stand for their beliefs. Although, I know that is a turnoff for many people. :(But really, if you are offended by their Christian beliefs, then just don’t go there, don’t post bad reviews on Unilocal

I don’t agree with the company’s personal policies(Having to do with women’s rights), BUT if one is willing to separate those thoughts and see past that, this is actually a great store for DIY projects. They carry a very decent selection of flowers to create arrangements, materials to create diy wedding crafts, vast amounts of sewing materials, knitting/crocheting supplies, art supplies, wall décor, and some furniture pieces. Again, although I don’t agree with the company’s personal women’s rights views, I am able to see past it and still shop there. Overall, I enjoy not having to drive too far to have access to a decent crafting store and will definitely continue shopping there as long as the customer service is up to standard.

To the poster stating this is not a hobby shop… arts and crafts is a hobby… — To my review: Hobby Lobby is great for wandering and if you already have a hobby you can almost certainly find what you need(beading, sewing, sketching, etc.). The first time I went in I decided I really disliked the place. There was no signs for what each row had down it and I felt LOST… I went again with a friend though and once I learned the layout, I learned to love the store. They have such neat stuff and chances are if you go one week and something you want isn’t 50% off, in the next 2 — 3 weeks it will be… So hold out and check again! All the workers I’ve come into contact with have been very friendly as well.

Now I gotta tell ya’ll, if you looking for a hobby then come on down to the hobby lobby to get one real quick and in a hurry! Already got a hobby… then come on down to the Hobby Lobby to reinforce that hobby! Haha When this store popped up, I was pretty intrigued as to what it had to offer haha and also thought it would give me a hobby First off, easy to locate with a vast parking lot! The moment you walk in, you instantly realize that this is a lot like Michael’s! It has a lot of what a Michael’s would offer and then some! If you’re looking for items and supplies then come here. Sorry to disappoint but this store doesn’t carry any supplies for active or extreme hobbies. This is more geared towards sewing, painting, decorating, etc. I would still suggest coming here to get ideas for do-it-yourself projects. Overall 3 stars, because the name does give you a false sense of what it actually has. It’s a Michael’s type of store. I couldn’t give any higher because of lack of visits.

Lynda checked us out & helped me get a discount & checked my other items for possible discounts… Other employees in the store were nice & helpful… I really liked the diverse selection of home décor, arts, crafts, & hobby stuff… See my pics for a good idea of what is offered there… I didn’t even get a chance to look at the whole store because my husband came with me and well, you get the idea… But, what I did get to see, I was very pleased with. It was interesting to see all the different places that the items were made from… I saw items made from China(of course, who doesn’t have stuff made from China? =) …I saw stuff made from Turkey, Japan, America, India, etc etc etc… I’ll be back :-)

Clean store and employees are helpful and speak English. I’m amazed at the comments that it’s not a Hobby shop. It’s not a Lobby shop either. Do they think Home Depot sells homes or that Walmart sells walls? Get a life.

I am used to shopping at Hobby Lobby online, where the prices are much lower. Plus store and online don’t often carry the same items. I went there today for first time, and the price for an apparel fabric was $ 9.99/yard! Online it was on sale for $ 4.89/yard. Just about everything in the store is higher priced. It is not so much a hobby shop or even a fabric store or crafts store. They sell a ton of premade objects/furniture/knick-knacks/home décor/decorative items for horrendously high prices. It’s mostly junk you don’t need and will be at next year’s garage sale. However, as a studio photographer they do have a lot of good props, which I can’t buy… But really, a basket from China $ 20-$ 40? Othet simple baskets $ 50! The in-store signage is VERY tricky. There are«sale» signs everywhere– but you look closer and see«these items are always 30% off». Off what? The«sale» price is completely bogus, because the marked up(«original») prices are unrealistic, and are artificially inflated. It’s not bad quality stuff though, and they do have a lot of unique items. But since so much product is «always» on sale, this precludes you from ever being able to actually use their 40% off coupon on aything in a higher price bracket. Even with«40%» off, the item is marked so high, the 40% brings it to the starting price point for me. I’m looking for a REAL discount. Their profit margin is HUGE. So I will probably continue to shop online. A fake plant was«on sale»(ha!) for close to $ 200! Agsin, couldnt use coupon They are sort of like a HomeGoods store, a Steinmart(no clothes though) and a Michael’s craft store. Much of their merchandise is Christian-oriented, including the gift card section. Pretty much every card had God written in it, or a qoute from The Bible. Fortunately the three cards I needed to buy were for Christians. But nice cards are over $ 5. It concerns me that every little thing seems to be made and imported from China. I could not find anthing made in America i Everything I picked up was made in China. Employees are very nice and helpful, and the store is neat and clean, well displayed and often rows of items are color or theme coordinated. They’ve got this retail thing down to a science!

To the guy who posted that this is not a hobby shop. Knittig, sewing, stained glass making ARE hobbies. I am a soap maker. Imagine how I feel that the items these stores have for MY craft, cheap, and not worthy to be used in my art. Yes, they do have a few soap making supplies and kits for a novice to get acquainted with, and they do sell glycerine blocks to make melt and poor. but nothing for the CP or HP soap makers. With that being said, don’t come here if your looking for your oils, micas, colorants, or scents. You’ll have to continue ordering on line. Now, if you craft anything else, this is the store for you. It’s a huge store. In the center there are lots of non crafted wall art, and home decore. I did see hoards of material, but bypassed it. I don’t sew. Lots of jewelry making supplies, paper crafting and sesonal art. I don’t like the politics of this company. The medical insurance they carry does not pay for birth control. They are against a womans right to choose to end a pregnancy. I am as well, but I would never step into a private disission a woman makes with her partner, her doctor, and her deity. Using birth control keeps women out of abortion clinics. What’s worse, cover BC or abortion?

To start off with I didn’t want to go to this store because I have reservations about any company using the label Christian. But my husband wanted to go because of some wall décor he wanted to get. So I unwillingly go in there I make my purchase and use a coupon. My husband tries to make a similar purchase on the same day and the cashier refused the coupon. She said she couldn’t take it because it didn’t apply to that item. Well weird because I was able to use it. My husband spoke to a manager and she also refused to take the coupon. He told her we wanted to return the other one and she said okay and didn’t care to lose a sale or customer. Plus after looking at all there items all made in China and overpriced. How do you call yourself a Christian company and buy most of your items from a country like China.

This store is immaculate! Many employees to assist. They have everything you need to decorate any occasion; weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. There’s a gorgeous fabric center — vases — deco items, etc! Loved it!

The name is so misleading. This is not a hobby shop. No RC cars, Airsoft, etc. This is a Arts and Crafts shop, like Michael’s.
