Rene’s Tire Service

This place was recommended by my wife and her family. I showed up on a Sunday morning and asked for 4 new tires for my 08 Altima. They gave me two brand names to choose from. I chose the more affordable brand. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Nice guys, fast service, no upsell.

This place gave me one price over the phone and quoted me 1.5 to 2 hours over the phone.
Then when the car arrived they said it was going to be more money. So it went from 240 $ to 330 $
From 1 hour tops to 3 hours
I wouldn’t go back here.

I found a nail had pierced one of my car’s tires and so I had to get it fixed. This place was recommended to me and the Unilocal reviews looked decent so I went to check it out yesterday early afternoon (March 5, 2015).
It’s easy to drive to on Valley Blvd (it is near the U-​HAUL rental place). There are a good amount of spaces to park at in front of the establishment/​garage, so the parking situation is good.
I walked in and spoke to the lady at the front desk and told her of my situation. She said someone would come to help me and directed me to the waiting area. The waiting area had four seats. There were three other customers waiting and they seemed all rather disheveled and off-​putting. One customer was smoking an e-​cigarette which I didn’t appreciate. One of the workers in the garage area took my tire and got to work on it shortly (there was a set of tires for a large truck he was working on prior). He repaired my tire within 15 minutes, took off the spare tire from my car, and put the repaired tire and cap back on. He told me to go back to the front desk to talk to the lady whom I spoke with before to pay (so far no one has told me how much the repair would cost). When I got to the front desk the lady asked me «credit or debit?» I told her I would be paying cash. The tire repair cost $ 10 (photo of receipt uploaded). All is well that ends well.
I drove my car around today for a while and I can report that my repaired tire is doing well. Overall I would recommend Rene’s Tire Service. My only real complaint is that I thought communication could be a bit improved (telling me how much it was going to cost prior to working on it, letting me know how long the repair would take, etc). Also the other customers there were a little off putting but that is not the fault of the establishment.

I went there yesterday. I felt sad since my tire keeping leak air, they fixed the problem for 7 bucks, quick and efficient.

In my opinion great pricing and great service, $ 120 for two brand new tires and $ 50 for alignment. In total i only paid $ 170 and I was in and out in less then an hour! They also do much more than tire service, highly recommend this place!!!

My car needed an alignment after I had the struts changed. I went to this shop, 50 bucks and 20 minutes later my car was perfectly aligned.

Had them replace 3 tires which was fine but after I started driving my car more that day I realized that the alignment was off. Now one would think that a place that specializes in tires would make sure your car is good to go. So I go back the next day and they tell me it is $ 65 bucks for an alignment which they caused. The manager Rene says they didn’t align it because I didn’t ask for it. I just asked for the tires. But I didn’t ask because I didn’t need one at the time! So he is basically refusing to fix my alignment issue that his business caused.
Another thing is after they change your tires they are suppose to balance them. When I get home I check the tire pressure and all four tires have a pressure reading of greater than 40psi! My car requires 28psi in the front and 32psi in the back. One would also think that a business that specializes in tires should put the recommended tire pressure in your car. I am sure a lot of people that get their tires changed here do not think to check their tire pressure afterwards because they think it should be good to go.
Although the tires were bought at a reasonable price I question the business integrity this place has. And judging by other peoples’ reviews I won’t be surprised if one of my tires blows up on the freeway due to retreading.
Shop at this place with caution. Questionable business ethics here. I guess the saying holds true that you pay for what you get.

Wonderful service! Great prices and really quick service. Open on Sundays for part of the day too, which was really helpful for me. Has helped my family for years. Will be back for future tire services.

This tire shop is great no BS and to the point and very competitive prices. They do the job extremely quick and do it the right way the first time. I highly reccomend coming here for youre tire needs because you will be satisfied and assured your getting quality work done to your car! A+++ For me definitely consider this place when you need tires.

Lost a wheel lock key and came here a dude popped out to greet me immediately and helped me find one. I got 2 tires installed and a 4 wheel alignment. Prices are awesome and very quick service. Happy happy

I just got 2 used tires here and recieved excellent service. Pulled up and someone came out to great me and ask me what I needed. Being located near my work it was perfect too.
The employee who helped me (Eddie) was a great help and had me back on the road quick. After reading another post about all the employees standing around yes this is true but you have to approach them. they don’t bite and are actually really cool guys.

Came in for a fix on a leaky tire, which was only 7 $, not bad. Before I left the guy who runs the place (Rene?) told me I needed my two front tires to be replaced and quoted me a price of 8%$ for each. Not bad but it was nice of him to do so.

Every time I’ve been to this shop I’m amazed by how fast and affordable their work is. I have been a customer for a few years now (since they were at their old location) and will continue to come back as long as they’re in business. I recommend this shop to anyone in need of services to their tires :)

This place is shady! I called this place and spoke to Rene, he asked what car and tire size i have on my ford f-​150 and he quoted me $ 50 for my tires to be aligned, when i got there this other guy comes up and tell me its $ 75! They tell the customers cheap price over the phone to get you in their shop then raise the price! Thats not how you do business! NOT recommending this place to anybody!

These guys were recommended to me by a friend and i had a great experience. I’m surprised by the other negative reviews. I have runflat tires that everyone else told me could not be repaired. They did it for me, even when i offered to buy a new tire, they said it was unnecessary. Needless to say I have had the repaired tire for over a year with no problems. and when I asked for a quote of what a new tire would be it was far less than any of the other places I called.

Very shady business. I was told 65 fit an alignment then another guy came and told me 85, then the first guy disappeared and didn’t want to talk to me. Does not deserve 1 star, lost all my business for ever.
