Decided to google the number after seeing many ads on Craigslist for rentals that sounded too good for their rental price. I typed «ask for Alex» in on Craigslist and could see many posts with all different phone numbers. None of them have photos. Good thing I came here instead of calling!

Scam! Beware, there are a bunch of these so put your red flags up any time they ask you to stop by their office without looking at the place. They take a «deposit» which they will never pay back.

My bf and I found the same ad others are referring to on CL for Long Beach homes and the man wanted a $ 200 deposit. When we asked what for, he laughed and hung up. Keep your guard up guys!

Don’t even deserve one star! Need to give them one to be able to posr this. I called their number to ask about a listing they have in La Opinion, One of the guys working there ask me in what city was I looking to rent?. And when I ask if it was a agency or if I had to pay for them to give me a list? He said «no I was going to meet you at the property» and hang up on me! very rudely!!. I called back again to ask who was I speaking with? Then I proceeded to tell him what had happened. So He said, «hear this» and he hanged up the phone on me too. These people have zero! Customer service! Think twice before you get Scam by this AGENCY! YOU PAY THEM AROUND 200 FOR THEM JUST TO GIVE YOU A LIST OF HOUSES. WHICH MOST OF THEM DON’T HAVE NO CLUE THIS AGENCY HAS THEM ON THE LIST!

They didn’t tell me it was for a service, they claimed to be the actual landlord/​owner, that the deposit was $ 500 but only $ 200 to hold it, I can move in on 10÷28÷15 and I’ll get the $ 200 back as part of the First 2 weeks free special. I asked if I could view the apt in Long Beach 90 803 zip code before coming all the way to Baldwin Park and he said no because the person who shows the apts was already off of work at 5pm. to get my money back i had to call the local police to escort me inside. i did this without notice and it showed when i walked in with police. alot of ppl have been doing my method and ppl have told me police are now telling them to go straight to small claims. record everything and make it known you want your refund and follow up. best of luck

So glad I searched on Unilocal — I too called the phone number on Craigslist and got this address. What a SCAM. Thank God for Unilocal

I am renting a property and started getting phone calls from phoney people (aka THE SCAM ARTISTS). I got a call from a «Marie» claiming she was looking for a place to rent. Gave me her information, claiming she had good credit and set up an appointment for her and her family. Of course, «Marie» and her family doesn’t show up, but a gentleman shows up claiming he is there from the agency. I told him I did not give this agency permission to use my information, and he showed me all his paperwork. He paid $ 200 to get a listing of properties all over LA County (Whittier, Bell Gardens, etc.) with no phone numbers. So this poor guy is driving around to all these properties that supposedly they set up appointments for him. Not true. I never set up an appointment with him, since I only set up appointments with people who I pre-​screen.
They told him my property was only $ 1,500, when in reality the rent is a lot higher. The same was true for the other 3 properties he had already tried to view. He shows up, but no one is there, and the neighbors tell him the rent is much higher.
THIS PLACE SCAMS PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR HARD-​EARNED MONEY!!! STAY AWAY!!!
I have already filed complaints with the CA Dept. of Real Estate, Consumer Protection Agency, BBB (Better Business Bureau), and next is the city of La Puente.
The more we complain, the more pressure and less comfortable they will be. Please REPORT THESE SCAM ARTISTS and get your money back if you have been scammed by them.

This company is a SCAM! I am a licensed real estate broker in the state of California. I occasionally have properties for rent by owners that specifically do not want to associate with rental agencies of this ilk. The gal that works here called me and claimed that she was a renter and not affiliated with a rental agency. However, a quick check of the ph# she called from reveals that she LIED!!!
If you have ever been scammed by them, please report them to the California Dept of Real Estate. Call (877) 373‑4542 or you can call (213) 576‑6885. File a complaint!

I was scammed and the only way to get your money back is go to the location and call the police. They’ll give you your money back because they’re afraid. CALL THE POLICE!

Total scam. They want $ 200 just to look at properties. Walked out as soon as I heard. Stay away.

aka HOME ADVISOR SERVICES = AVOID AT ALL COSTS! My gut told me not to get involved, but we drove so far and were so desperate to find a new place to live. Their service is antiquated, relying on faxing and hand-​written requests. Their agents tell you that they can provide specific lists with your desired amenities, but that is a LIE. You ask for houses, you’ll get a list of houses, apartments, condos, doesn’t matter. NONE of the places we saw appeared to be up for rent: no signs, nothing to indicate that the tenants were moving, nothing.
After checking out over 40 places, I requested to take a tour of the one place that came CLOSE to what we wanted, and never heard back. After getting a great spot on Westside Rentals, I have been trying for FIVE MONTHS to get my $ 125 refund. Today they said that since I didn’t get my paperwork back to them within ten days, I forfeit my refund. But do they have any record of when they received it? N.O. spells NO. These people, this company, are WORTHLESS. The BBB will be hearing from me for sure.

BEWARE: FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD! Saw an apartment ad on Craigslist with this number to «see» the «available» apartment you need to give a $ 200 deposit before and then they will take you to see it. If you decided not to take the apartment you will get refunded only $ 150!!! so basically you are paying $ 50 to see… GEORGE the guy that works there is very rude! This is a SCAM!

BEWARE: FRAUD. They also go by «Home advisor services». Why do they go by 2 different names? Every place they’ve ever provided is occupied or they don’t give specific apt numbers. They are a fraud. Don’t waste your time or money. I’ve been given attitude every single time I call, and have also been hung up on. When I inquire about new apts that are already listed online on Craigslist, I am told I have to wait until the «new list» is released around 12pm or 1. Doesn’t make any sense. So disappointed that I fell for this. Your better off with westside rentals, for a pay service. Don’t go to their office. It’s in la puente. Just to see an apt, u have to fill out a paper, fax it, wait for them to contact u supposedly, too many steps just to see an apt! If it’s actually real. It’s also a long and too many step process to get a refund, and you only get 125 out of 200 back. That’s if they decide to give you one, which I doubt they will. BEWARE: FRAUD.

Don’t waste your time working with these people. They provide you with an outdated list of rental properties and when you contact them regarding the listings they act as though they are helping you. After I contacted regarding my refund they stated that only after 90 days will it be refundable and they have the nerve to give you attitude. Do not work with these people, it’s a scam just like I assumed in the beginning but thought that they would really help me. Your better off looking on Craigslist but be aware thy are also behind some of the listings on Craigslist. Don’t waste your 200.00.
