Zero stars if I could. DO NOT stay here. I booked a king room ahead of time. The lady at the front desk who checked me in was a total twat bag. The room was okay clean wise at first glance, but the sheets had hair all over them. Then, come to find the shower is completely and obviously broken. Tried to call the front desk but the phone wouldn’t work so I went down from the third floor to discuss this with the incompetent night desk girl. She said the only thing she could do was downgrade me to a queen room on the bottom floor. I asked if there was compensation for the inconvenience and being so downgraded and she shrugged and told me to talk to the manager in the morning because he shuts his phone off at night. Get into my downgrade room and the smell is so strong that I almost had to go outside. This room does not seem clean and the beds are so extremely uncomfortable compared to the king.

I went to this hotel with my family cause we heading Galveston tx and was very affordable and convenient price but since we step inside we feel the strong humidity smell all around this place, actually we have to turn off the air condition unit, for allergic people you guys know what I’m talking about, we almost can’t breath its was really awful. The silvan beach one mile distance well below average, kemah really nice and Galveston its OK. one mile distance from this hotel there a pretty good restaurant american sea food awesome.

Will definitely not stay here again! Room had a musky body odor smell. Received a wake up call at 5:24 AM by mistake. Internet signal was so weak; had to re-​enter password multiple times. Choice Hotels gold member but was only given 1 hour late check out; majority will let you stay several hours.

Booked here via 3^rd party site (avoid them too) for an 11 night stay. Checked in just before midnight due to travel delays. One additional night was all I could stand. I would not have asked my family to stay here, but I thought I could tough it out myself. The sheets on the bed were stained (I questioned if they were clean), the cooling unit worked if you could stand the smell. It appeared to have been vomited in! I turned it off and opened the window. The pillows were tiny and shaped like basketballs?
The wifi did not work and when I asked about it they said it was due to the weather. It was cloudy!!! All of my concerns fell on deaf ears. I decided to check out early and find a clean place to stay. Hotel used 3^rd party booking terms as excuse for not giving a refund.
said they could issue a refund IF the manager approved but he did not. 9 nights gone, but it was still better than staying in this nasty place.
Avoid this place at all costs (I will avoid Choice Hotels in general after dealing with guest relations over this issue).
I will also shy away from 3^rd party booking sites. When you are out the money and cannot be refunded even if the room is dirty and the sheets haven’t been washed since the last guest, what did you really save?

Disappointed, especially considering the higher rates. The room was clean. The smell of mildew was overwhelming in the hall and in the room. It made us sneeze and our eyes water. There was mold growing in the shower. Wi Fi was advertised as free in all rooms. It lasted for a few minutes at a time in our room with slow processing. I had to sit near the lobby to maintain a connection. We stayed 3 nights and my room was cleaned once. I tried to print boarding passes and the business center was not functioning, the staff were arguing loudly in the lobby. Hall and stair carpets were filthy.

Terrible stay! Do Not STAY here!!! The managers son cussed me and my husband out when leaving, and called us white trash!!! They asked how our stay was, and I said phone didn’t work, mold growing in shower, no hot water, pool was freezing, sauna water was brown & staff wasn’t friendly. The kid says why didn’t you complain last night, and I said we did to the blonde girl. I said I wanted comped part of my stay, he accused me of just wanting $$, and said you f&@& bi)&&. Proceeded to tell me he was tired of white trash staying at his hotel. Needless to say worst hotel EVER!!! How do people take our money that we work so hard to earn and treat people like crap???

This was partially my mistake and partially there mistake.
I made a reservation. After the location I was visiting changed, I called to cancel. They told me I could cancel with a refund. I thought everything was taken care of.
A month later I saw I had been billed for the night. I called the hotel to work out why I had been billed and they said that the reservation I made could not be cancelled. After looking through the email I got, they were correct it couldn’t be.
With that said, if they hadn’t told me on the phone I could cancel the room I wouldn’t have cancelled because the new location was within easy driving distance. After bringing this up with them they hung up on me.

I stayed for 3 nights in Feb. 2013 while taking the TX Bar Exam. Not being familiar with the area, I simply picked the closest hotel to the exam center (Pasadena Convention Center). If you’re strictly looking for convenience, this is the hotel for you!
BUT, if you have any inkling of what a hotel experience should be, please read on. I have 3 grievances with this particular location.
1) No hot water. Okay, MAYBE there was no hot water because almost everyone staying at the hotel was taking the Bar. Thus, it’s possible that everyone was showering in the morning at the same time, and the boilers simply didn’t have the capacity to handle the hot water demands. Plausible.
2) Very poor WiFi. I could barely even check email on either my laptop or my phone. Again, MAYBE this was due to a large influx of nerdlings in the building draining all the bandwidth with all their wireless devices. Plausible.
3) Mice! UNACCEPTABLE. Yes, my neighbors in the hotel (who I know) saw a mouse in their room. Of course, chivalry took over, and I went to help capture the tortuous mouse that held the young ladies standing on their beds in distress. It may have also been the screaming at 3:00 am… Anyway, during my search, I found the «mouse» and asked if it’s possible it was ghost mouse… They assured me he was real, so I think the dead mouse behind the refrigerator was not the culprit. Finally, I saw the live mouse. To dispense with the details, we caught the mouse (near 4:00 am) in the ice bucket and brought him to the attendant at the front desk (who merely offered a new room – which surely wouldn’t have rodents). The attendant was extremely frightened of the little creature, and subtly kept his distance while talking to us. No excuse… for the mice – living and dead – not the attendant’s phobia.
Bottom Line: NO, NO, NO! If you don’t care about where you sleep (e.g. familiar with sleeping in your car, garage floor, stairwells, front lawn, etc.), great place to stay! Otherwise, stay away…

Very hot. don, t go here its a rip off the place is a joke not only no a/​c but they had no towels to replace the next mor. so i couldn’t shower no maid service for 2 days when i ask for my money back they just told me take it up with manger when i did i was informed i had been talking to the GM so i called corporate and did nothing this place is a joke

I do have to agree with HG they aren’t big on running the AC around here. It’s pretty warm and we’re here Memorial Day weekend 2012. Our room is clean and nice, good bed. We will stay here again. I don’t care as much about the heat as much as I was disappointed in what they call a «Fitness Center». We drink a bit and try to use exercise to burn off some of those drinking calories. EVERY weightlifting component of their «Fitness Center» is broken NOTHING works the cables are all shreds. There is one treadmill and one stationary bike. Sounds like some peoples garages not «Fitness Center» at a hotel.
I don’t think we can judge the breakfast. We don’t get there till 9:00 nothing is left. We don’t know if there was anything there to start with. The breakfast is open from 6:00am — 9:30am but at 9:00 there isn’t anything left.
