Pete’s Mobile DJ Service

Before I go on to talk about how good a DJ Pete is, let me just say that he’s probably the best well-​kept secret of the Houston wedding world. You won’t come across him at bridal expos or see him popping up all over wedding websites and magazines; in fact, the only way we found out about him in the first place was through a referral from our wedding planner at Eventology Weddings. My husband and I were stressing over finding a DJ who would be able to deliver our demands: we definitely wanted to blast some full-​out EDM, but we also needed to appease our older guests with a few of Frank Sinatra’s classics; my parents were begging for some Earth, Wind, and Fire; and we needed to get our guests on the floor with some line dances and Top 40s hits. What we needed was a well-​versed DJ to establish that oh-​so delicate balance. So yes, having never heard of Pete before, I was definitely a bit skeptical at first, but when we were quoted a mere $ 850 for 5hrs, we decided to take a leap of faith… and it paid off! My husband met with Pete only once before our wedding, but he listened to our concerns and delivered exactly the genres we wanted at exactly the timeframes we wanted. He got our First Dance, Bouquet Toss, Garter Toss, and Final Dance songs right, and he did great with MC’ing and –working conjointly with our wedding planner– kept the party on schedule. He was also super charismatic, charming, and engaging with our guests. My husband and I attend a lot of EDM shows and festivals, so we didn’t know how much to expect when he started playing EDM near the end of the night, but damn, Pete brought down the freaken house! Being surrounded by friends, dranks, and that bumpin’ bass, there was a point where I actually forgot I was at my own wedding… (My elder relatives told me the next morning they didn’t know Dustin and I could get down like that. Oops, shoulda kept it classy… haha!) Anyway, that just comes to show you how awesome of a DJ Pete turned out to be.
My only complaint would be that he wasn’t as responsive as I would have liked. When we sent emails, it would take a few days to get a response — which felt like YEARS to an anxiously-​awaiting bride. He’s also located all the way down in La Porte, which made it difficult for us to meet with him.
If you can get over that, then I definitely recommend checking Pete out. $ 750 for 4hrs — you just can’t beat that price!

If you’re looking for someone to DJ your wedding/birthday/[fill in the blank], STOP. You’ve found him. My husband and I hired Pete to DJ our wedding reception and he was amazing. Our wedding was on the smaller side (less than 100 people) and we run with a self-​confessed relatively nerdy crowd, but Pete managed to get everyone dancing through the night anyways (which means he can basically work any crowd).
My husband and I were also doing grad school full time in CA while we planned our wedding in Houston, and having someone as professional as Pete saved us a lot of headache. On the logistics side, he took care of everything (even lights!), picked songs that fit the crowd, seamlessly incorporated our requests — and all this was done without us meeting him in person until the day of the wedding! On top of all this, Pete’s prices are also very reasonable. I cannot recommend him enough!

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about DJ Pete! He DJ’d our friend’s wedding about 2 years ago and we still remember how much fun we had. When it came time to search for DJ’s, we looked no further after we remembered him. Pete is prompt and responsive when I had questions. He’s super professional (and reasonably priced) but still knows how to run a great party. He knew what we were thinking even before we’d ask a question. Thanks a million, Pete for being a part of the best day of our lives!

Pete is very professional and goes above and beyond to make your event the crème de la crème event. He provided music for both our wedding ceremony and the reception. When you want someone to get the job done, go with Pete. When there was a song which we needed for the mother of the groom dance, he found it. He really added ambiance to the entire event. The party glided along thanks to Pete. Do not hesitate to hire him! A referral from the mother of the bride!

Pete is awesome! We hired him for our wedding last summer and he did a fantastic job. He’s a really cool guy and knows what he’s doing. He met up with us before the wedding and spoke with us about what songs we wanted him to play at certain points of the night (cake cutting, garter/​bouquet toss, etc…). We had some ideas, but mostly gave him free reign and he chose perfectly. He really listened to what we wanted and everyone had a great time! I definitely recommend him!

Pete did an awesome job at my wedding! He’s also done weddings for my sister and a few friends of mine. Good music, takes requests. We never had to meet up before the wedding because I had seen him before at other weddings, I trusted his music. Just told him in advance the kind of music we wanted and he took care of it. Highly recommend!!!

Pete is awesome!!! He did the music for our reception and the lighting. Everything looked great and he was great at being the announcer for the evening. During the planning process, he had a ton of good suggestions and was very easy to work with. He kept the dance floor going all night! Our guests loved Pete!

Pete is very professional and did a wonderful job on our wedding day! When it was time to hire a DJ for our wedding Pete came referred to us thru our wedding coordinator. Prior to our wedding we met with Pete regarding our song selections and he was extremely courtesy and accommodating to any additional requests that we made. Pete was always punctual to our meetings and was extremely early on the day of our wedding, he is very personable and made a point to interact with our guests. Most importantly our guests had a great time and everyone complimented us on reception music!

Pete is a cool guy to work with! We hired him via my wedding planner who has worked with him in the past. She spoke highly of him, and I must say he followed through! My fiancé(now husband) and I were able to meet with him and stay in contact with him in regards to any requests we had towards the music selection to be played at the reception. He was very professional with every meeting and is definitely in the business to keep his customers happy. He also provided the lighting at the reception as well. He did an awesome job with everything and you can’t go wrong with Pete’s services. He’s worth every penny!!!
