Samantha M. Von Ins, MD – Family Health Center

After looking for a doctor that is thorough I found Dr. Von Ins. There aren’t many reviews here on Unilocal,I’m not sure why, but I find some other sources that persuaded me to try. I went in for a visit yesterday as a new patient and right off, the nurses are kind and get you checked in quickly. The office is clean and tidy. It took a while for me to see the doctor because she had another patient, but it also goes to show that she gives you her time. Her bed side manners are very nice, it’s easy talking to her and it’s nice not to feel rushed even though she had other patients. The fact that she’s very thorough is comforting, she asked me questions about what I went in for and to rule anything else out she’s sending me to a specialist.
It might be too soon to say too many great things, but it’s hard to find a doctor that is kind, and whose bed side manners are not cold. (Actually one of the reasons I changed my PCP to Von Ins.) If you’re looking for a doctor that is thorough in her exams and not dismissive, and whose bed side manners are really nice and is easy to talk to, try Dr. Von Ins.

I usually look for reviews when selecting PCP & therefore thought my review might help others. DrVon is a very kind, smart & a young doctor. She will take time to listen & understand patient concerns & problems. You’ll never feel that she is in a hurry, she will never neglect or ignore what you say. I really liked her & am impressed.
Now the cons – (update as of 3÷31÷16): Called for an urgent appt today and the assistant says she is not available for next 6 weeks i. e she’s booked until mid-​May! Sad situation!
You can never get an appointment for the same week you call in, and guess what the staff does not give you reminder calls either. I got an appointment for 10 days after & completely forgot since no one reminded & by that time I was already recovered from my illness. Courtesy reminder calls should be a must in today’s day & age!

I was really impressed by the front office nurses. THe office runs very smoothly. AND Dr. Von Ins is so nice. She is so knowledgeable. Great bedside manner.

Dr. Von Ins is an excellent primary care physician! She is very kind, thorough, and caring. The staff is also courteous. The office is run very efficiently and there is not much of a wait time. I am going to refer all of my family members to this office. Thanks Dr. Von Ins!
