Provides world class instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Glima. Coach Briston holds a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Japanese Jiu Jitsu, and Okazaki Judo. He’s also the only certified instructor in Loose-​Grip Glima west of the Missouri.

Established in 2010.

All American is the home of over 20 West Coast Champions and 10 World Champions through various venues such as NAGA, Grappler’s Quest, IBJJF, SJJIF, and the NABJJ.

Headed by world champion Bristan Lowry, All American Jiu Jitsu is a great place to learn a wonderful martial art for both children and adults. Coach Bristan’s lesson plans and teaching techniques have molded his students into multiple gold medal winners and world champions. Children classes combine the excitement of hand to hand combat with a fun atmosphere to keep the kids engaged in the activity, while adult classes take it up a notch for an intensive workout while learning the basics to more advanced techniques.

I went to a couple of local gyms to find a place for my 5 year old. I chose this one because the kids were respectful, skilled and friendly. The instructors are reflected through the students. Competition is encouraged but not forced. And watching the girls beat most male competitors at tournaments is a real testament to receiving excellent instruction.
I ended up joining the gym myself. I was over 230 lbs and needed to make a change. It’s been about 3 months, I’m enjoying learning, practicing, working with teammates and now competing at 177 lbs. it’s not easy, but Briston and Mike will work to get you there. No matter how long it takes!

All American Jiu-​Jitsu is a really great place to train. Coach Briston really brings his experience to the mat when teaching, presenting material in a clear way.
I’m also enjoying learning Glima (basically Viking wrestling) from him. He’s the only instructor around offering it, and the unique opportunity is something I couldn’t pass up!

Briston is a top martial artist and a top teacher. I’ve had a lot of teachers and it’s rare to find one who is both. Some great fighters can’t teach, and some great teachers are really only good enough to get you to intermediate levels. And some of the guys who *are* both are also a little crazy for normal family guys like me. I haven’t had my kids in one of his classes, but I’ve seen him teach kids and he’s got a great balance of intensity and good sportsmanship. He really wants to help the BJJ/​grappling culture be more like traditional, respectful martial arts without parents shouting for their 8-​year-​old to smash their neighbor’s 8-​year-​old.

Instruction is solid, clear, and consice. There’s no excessive complicated instructions, you know the kind that makes you wish the instructor would just shut up. That doesn’t mean questions aren’t answered or clarified. The length of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class is perfect= 90 minutes as opposed to most gyms that put on 60 min sessions. Rates are very competitive, plan on going to Idaho for better deals. Facility is clean, organized, and the equipmet is new. The location is in a safe neighborhood. Even at 1am you won’t see gansters or bums roaming the area. The best part is the vibe of the gym. No one sizes you up when walking through the door, unlike some other MMA gyms. Everyone is very welcoming and willing to share everything they know. For a brand new gym they got a ton of experience (too much to list here). I must have checked out about 6 different gyms before choosing this one. As you can see, there’s plenty of good reasons as to why I did.
