Specialties
I run a safe and family friendly Community Center class. I have a zero incident reporting rating for my classes.
The type of students that train here range from law enforcement to hard working delivery drivers to high school and college level students. The class is made up of a close group of students; some have known each other for years. But new students (friends) are always welcome. Call for more info.
We teach the fine art of Kung Fu San Soo. We specialize in instruction that covers all concepts of fighting as taught by Grand Master Jimmy H. Woo. Classes are available to people of all ages: Families, kids 11 and older and adults of all ages are welcome to train in a friendly and safe environment.
History
Established in 2006.
My martial arts journey started in 1988 at Cal Poly Pomona University. I have received my masters under two different 1st generation Kung Fu San Soo masters. First in 2000 and then was re-certified in 2008.
I have been under an instructor’s contract with the City since 2006 and I run a safe and family friendly class. My goal is to spread the art of Kung Fu San Soo as it was taught by Jimmy H Woo. Therefore I teach the 45 lesson set, Fut Ga mindset and lessons, hand and weapon forms along with proper stance/horse training and advance Dap Ga lessons.
Come learn in a safe, family friendly environment. I have a zero incident reporting rating for my classes and I keep the classes fun and interesting.
Meet the Business Owner
Dale A.
Business Owner
I’m a family man with a wife and two daughters and started training in Kung Fu San Soo in 1988 and have never stopped training. I began teaching the art in 2006 and enjoy bringing this art to the community of La Mirada.
As a young boy I started trainging in wrestling and continued on that path in to high school. It was by chance that I found Kung Fu San Soo while going to college. I have trained with a variety of 1st generation masters and been awarded masters by two of them. I started as a wrestler but fell in love with Kung Fu San Soo and though I have trained in other arts along the way it was more out of curiosity. I have always (and continue to) trained multiple times a week and enjoy the contact and complexity of the art of Kung Fu San Soo and the never ending vast array of techniques, forms and the open structure of freestyle workouts. I’m a San Soo man for life.
