History
Established in 2004.
Gerrits Handyman was Started in Sun Lakes Active Senior Community in Banning California Summer of 2004.
I want to thank everyone who kept me busy tending to all your desires.
The ten years of service I made so many good friends, and lost just as many.
The time has changed all of us, I lost my Father a few years back and I moved to La Mirada to be near him in Whittier.
I cant explain the feeling i have to stay settled in La Mirada, now being here I am compelled to serve those who may be in need of my work experience.
I am a trained Union Carpenter and Leader throughout the apprenticeship, Certified in Inspection Codes, CPR, First Aid, and the OSHA10 Safety Certification.
A few major projects i helped build :
1991 — 1992 Sheraton @ the Fairplex
1993 — 1994 Ontario Mills Mall
1995 — 1998 Ground Breaking Denvers International Airport
Meet the Business Owner
Gerrit B.
Business Owner
My very first taste of work and service happened when i was 13 years old, I borrowed my fathers push mower and began going to all my neighbors offering to rake the leaves and clean for $ 5.00. This totally worked out as i was able to buy the motorcycle i had my eye on rusting away at a local schoolmates backyard.
I realized fast that school was most important at the time, and dove in head first.
When was 15, I knew next year i would be eligable to drive, working the yards and saving, I was able to find a old pickup truck.
At 16 and driving I needed a better job, so I applyed at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, this is where i gained all my cleaning skills, working the Coney Dog by the Nickle Arcade.
The following year I applyed at Disneyland and landed a position in customer service. These skills I will never forget! Thanks Walt for your standard.
When I turned 18, My Uncle introduced me to the Carpenters United Brotherhood.
This is where I was taught all my work ethics, to build.
