Dr. Yousefi DDS, MS (Orthodontist) graduated from dental school 1997, after working seven years as a general dentist he attended advanced standing program at USC followed by Certificate — Master degree from New York State University at Buffalo. He is working as an Orthodontist from 2007.

He is the member of American Orthodontic Association and president of local dental association.

I took my 2 toddler ages 2 and 3 years old I was afraid because it was their first dental appointment but the assistant Monique did great job made them feel comfortable and they did great was very good first dental experience.

I am really happy that I found this dentist. I was taking my daughter to my dentist, but when she needed a few fillings and needed some sedation to get them, I had to look for a pediatric dentist. This one is near where I live, so I thought I’d try them out.
So far I’ve been there 3 times with my daughter. Every time I go, she complains about having to go, but then she’s happy when she leaves. All of the girls that work there make her feel welcome and special while she’s there. They make going to the dentist a fun and exciting experience. They always tell her how great she is and really listen to her when she talks. They have TVs with movies playing all over to entertain the kids. Also, they get a toy when they’re all done, which they love. They also have coffee for me while I’m waiting.
One time they had an issue with the internet and I had to wait around a while for the x-​rays to get figured out. They were great at making sure that I was taken care because of the inconvenience, which was completely out of their control.
My daughter has needed some fillings lately (which I hate), but the dentist has always been good at explaining everything to me and helping me out with trying to prevent her from getting more cavities in the future. My only complaint would be that I usually have to wait a bit for my appointment. I think that might be because they spend so much time with each patient, but sometimes it’s frustrating to spend so much of my day at the dentist.

I love love love this place! All the girls are always so nice and amazing to my 6 year old, second time here and won’t leave this place, I don’t mind the 20 – 30 minute commute. I really wish I could remember the names of both girls that assisted my girl and the doctor is always amazing our experiences have been so great my 12 year old brother wants to move here!

I defiantly will be recommending this place to friends and family. I have a 1 ½ year old, who is not the easiest patient. He is very stubborn and does not like people touching his mouth. I was very worried about how his first dental appointment would go. Dr Trina, Brittany, and Domoonique made this visit very easy and handled my little one like he was their own. We were seen right away and given a lot of helpful advise. The doctor even sang to my son to make him more relaxed. I haven been to other children’s dentist with my eldest son, and not once did I experience the comfort level like I have here. The waiting room is amazing and has tons of activities to keep your children entertain while you fill out paperwork.

So far so good at this dentist. My daughter seems to love this place. As soon as you walk in they have tablets with games for kids, they have toys for the younger kinds and game consoles for the older ones! They give goodie bags and small little dolls Everytime my daughter comes. I was terrified of taking my daughter to her first appointment because I didn’t want to hear her screaming and crying but the dentist made her feel comfortable and the appointment was a breeze

If I could give more stars I would. From beginning to end this place is awesome. The staff is kind, clean, attentive, always smiling and informative. They have a small play area in the lobby for kids, and a movie playing when kids go back to wait for treatment. There is coffee for the parents as we wait for our kids to be seen. The DA’s and very aseptic and explain every step to the kids so as to not frighten them. The only thing I have concern with is the sharing of a room with the 3 patient beds. There isn’t privacy when dr is speaking with families and everyone knows your child’s business, not cool. There is no HIPPA policy in dental offices? Otherwise, really phenomenal staff! They got all three of my kids, new patients, in 1.5 hours! Awesome!!!

This dentist office is as good as it gets for children. I took my 5 year old who has never seen a dentist and lets just say the treatment was pretty rough! However, the staff at Children’s Happy Teeth, specifically Dawn, Isabel and Brittney were the MOST amazing, wonderful, helpful and caring people I would ever trust with my daughter’s teeth! Definitely going to make this our pediatric dentist home and bring my son in about 4 weeks! Don’t look any further, Children’s Happy Teeth will take such good care of you and most importantly your children! Thank you Dr. Trina, you were heaven sent!!!

Dr. Yasmin and her assistant Jennifer are AWESOME!!! They are sweet, kind and caring. My almost 5 year old had a baby root canal and 2 fillings done today. They knocked it out quickly and effectively. I was amazed and incredibly thankful. They did a wonderful job with him and I couldn’t imagine trusting anyone else to do the job. Thank you!!!

Awesome dental office for kids! I wish I could come here for myself. The interior is designed to keeps the kids entertained and hopefully take the anxiety off the fact that they are at the dentist. The staff are so friendly and very good with children! The dentist is also awesome Dr. Gou I think was his name. I recommend this spot if you are looking for a pediatric dentist. My daughter needed to have fillings done and they explained everything to me along with the co pay. From the nurses to the receptionist everyone was awesome !

A common practice of this office is to papoos and gas children to calm them for the dental treatment. It is extreme and heartbreaking to watch, it looks traumatic to the child. So, I opted to pay the $ 700 for the IV sedation.
His appointment was at 11:00 and he was not seen till 1:00. Per their instructions he was not to eat or drink since «the night before». My son did not have any food or drink for almost 20 hours due to the poor per sedation instructions and appointment scheduling. (The rule is no food or drink 8 hours before sedation).
He was in a lot of pain after the work. Dr. Gentle, I think not. The work was rushed (probably due to being behind schedule and wanting to go home). They were very rough on his mouth. He had some crowns done that look awful in coloring, size, and placement. I paid $ 3000.00 for low quality products and craftsmanship. Happy teeth does not take time to establish a long lasting relationship with your child. It feels like money is the driving force here. The doctors here rotate out, so no doctor is responsible for this offices reputation. His recovery took about 4 long days of pain and soreness. I would sum up his dental work as a botched job.
My sister also went here with her sons. They papoosed and gased for simple cavities and when he went back he was frightened and closed off. They also told her the same cavities they fixed are cavities again. Which means they didn’t clean them out sufficiently. Poor quality work, service, and craftsmanship for top dollar prices.
Update: According to the AAPD, IV sedation is not recommended for children under the age of 3. The front crowns have settled for a much more natural look. In conclusion, I would not return or recommend.

Wanted to try a new place for my kids and it had good reviews so we went and my only complaint is I had to wait longer than I wanted to with 2 kids under 5– even with a cartoon and a few toys… they were over it. The girl who cleaned their teeth was very nice and great with them, the dentist was also really nice and took her time… I will go back and recommend.

I have never been to Children’s Happy Teeth myself, but I work at the Whittier Public Library and we did a storytime centered around teeth for National Children’s Dental Health Month and Kim the «tooth fairy» came and read a story to the kids. It was so fun! She dressed up as a tooth fairy, read Dr. Seuss’ book «The Tooth Book», and talked to the kids about the importance of taking care of your teeth! She was very engaging and kept the attention of the kids as well. At the end she gave out bags for the kids to take home that contained a toothbrush, etc. The parents, kids, and library were very grateful that Kim was able to come out and help make storytime special! (:
