Established in 2011.
After working for years as an Independent Audio Engineer in San Diego & Montréal, Sam Boukas decided to open Xyz Audio. Once a location was found, the insides were completely gutted and renovated to create a recording space that would offer more than just the standard «neutral sound».

As a musician and tech minded individual with a creative spirit, Sam was always interested in music, but his interest in the physics of sound and electronics lead him into the world of recording and mixing. As an audio engineer, Sam has had the pleasure to work with and learn from notable producers like the late great, Jerry Finn (on Blink 182 self-titled & Boxcar Racer) and Neal Avron (New Found Glory, Reeve Oliver).
