Jeff helped me with a very unusual sale of my duplex in Pacific Beach to my tenants, representing both the buyer and seller in the transaction. More than the usual real estate transaction, this required an incredible amount of finesse, patience, fairness and empathy. Jeff was wonderful and I was very happy that we decided to use him as our agent. I was consistently impressed by Jeff and his team throughout the process, from the negotiation over the price to the termite repairs. Jeff was very communicative and always helped me with my problems and concerns from large to small, at all hours of the day.
Moreover, as I’ve considered the prospect of purchasing my next home in the future, Jeff strikes the perfect balance between giving me the appropriate amount of space and not being pushy about listings before I’m ready, but nonetheless staying in touch and being informed and available.

Jeff helped us purchase a condo and sell our house. We were prepared to make a full price offer, but the condo was really dated and he suggested we offer way below asking price and the offer was accepted! Jeff was always prompt with call backs and was very helpful with ongoing negotiations with issues that came up during escrow. The sale of our house went smoothly, his pricing strategy is solid and we accepted an offer that was a substantial amount over asking price! Again, he was very helpful with the issues that come up during escrow. Even after closing, Jeff responded immediately when I asked for a document I was unable to locate! We’ve bought and sold several properties and had never encountered the level of service that Jeff provides. I highly recommend him and his staff!

We usually don’t write many reviews, but for this experience we had to comment. We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Jeff and with the home he helped us find. Jeff is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and attentive, while providing his other clients (at least two other searches and two listings) with apparently same level of care and attention, as evidenced by other very positive reviews of transactions at around the same time we closed. Jeff went well beyond what I thought an agent would do and there never seemed to be any pressure. Our search was a bit scattered but he was patient, let us determine our path, and then would then diligently investigate the property to provide us with as much information available; he always had time at short notice to research and view properties in which we were interested — and there were many. He also worked extremely well with the lending agent, which made the transaction seem much easier. And, I think the most important thing we can say is that Jeff truly cares about his clients finding the right home that they will always very much enjoy. We know this because it has been approximately six months since we moved in and he has periodically checked in to make sure all is good. Not many agents do the same.

In 2014 I contacted Jeff when I decided to sell my Bay Park condo. Not only was I selling my home, but I was also leaving my career to return to school in another field. I was pretty overwhelmed to say the least. Jeff was extremely understanding and accomodating; he made the process as easy and painless as possible. This was my first time selling so I had quite a few questions, but Jeff addressed all of them with great patience. I was initially concerned with the time it would take to sell my condo (especially considering the other major adjustments I was making in my life,) but was more than pleased when I had numerous offers within just days of placing it on the market. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone!

Jeff and Hillary helped my husband and I find the perfect home in the best neighborhood. They made the purchasing process super easy and smooth. We bought a property through Jeff and he made the process so much less stressful than it could have been. We used a VA Loan so there were contingencies that needed to be met and he was able to work well with the seller and help guide us through it all. He was there for all the inspections and stayed on top of everything. We will use him again and refer him to anyone else interested in buying or selling.

Can’t thank Jeff and Hilary enough. They were able to sell my OB rental duplex above asking price and spared me of all the nerve wracking details associated with selling investment property. They were extremely responsive to my texts and calls, even when they were on a much needed vacation! If you’ve ever sold property, you know it can be a stressful experience. This is a long-​overdue post about the incredible experience we had in selling our townhouse and buying our new home with the Whittington team. Jeff and Hillary were extremely easy to work with, and made us feel as though we were a part of their family. The level of detail and care that they put into our real estate transaction was impeccable.
