A master of her craft using architectural detail to achieve clean lines as well as dimension and texture, Toni stays up-​to-​date with the latest tips and trends. This review is definitely overdue! Toni is an amazing stylist! She is knowledgeable and just straight up talented! She has taken care of my natural hair and nursed me through scalp issues and more so that I have a full healthy head of hair. she also made me a custom unit that I LOVE! I debated for a long time and finally took Toni’s recommendation! This unit is the solution for me! I feel free with my hair and I also have style options because it’s easy to maintain and reinstall. Toni is truly a hair master! Not to mention the shop is beautiful, clean, and relaxing. This is the place to go to get your hair right and feel good doing it.

Toni is amazing with curly hair! She cuts it dry (which normally most hair stylist don’t) and perfectly frames, shapes and blends the layers to produce a great curly cut/​trim! My second time visiting her and left satisfied. She is now my go to for curly cuts. Thank you!

I highly recommend this salon! Toni was professional, friendly, and knows her stuff. I was nervous about my daughter having her hair relaxed, but Toni put me at ease and explained how to take care of her hair. The salon is clean and the décor is great. This is the best hair studio in San Diego! I have been going to Toni for about 6 months and it doesn’t get any better than this. Her studio is so warm and inviting and she had the most amazing staff. You are truly cared about her with your personal hair journey. Her entire team, her assistant, her braider are truly talented. They do everything here. You give them an idea and they make it a beautiful reality. Really they do everything. Braids, cut, color, extensions of all kinds, blowouts and pixies. You have to come here for all of your hair care needs. I searched high and low for someone trustworthy to do my hair and this is the place. Let her take care of you. You won’t regret it.

This review is way over due, I don’t write many reviews but Toni deserves it.
I’ve been going to Toni to get my hair done for a while now, she is awesome! It’s hard to find a stylist in San Diego that can work with ALL hair types and I have a lot of it… thick, wavy, Latina hair!
It’s very easy to set up an appointment online which is very helpful. Everyone that works there is very nice and professional. You won’t be disappointed :)

Toni is an artist. I had a friend recommend her and I finally gave her a try. SO GLAD I did! The salon is clean, well designed and open. You are greeted and treated like a true client/​person, not taken for granted. Some salons make you feel like a dollar sign walking in the door. They abuse your hair, use your time ALL DAY, and run a sweat factory at any cost to you. She’s professional and likes different styles. She uses quality products.
I dumped my previous hairstylist and rushed over to Toni to stay. Its SUPER easy to book appts, verses texting and running after someone to book you. Her effort is high above the rest.
You wont regret it! Hair will look GREAT!

Toni has brought my hair back to life… I have had a bad experience with past hair stylists and the end result was my hair was extremely damaged. I had to cut it and go back to my natural color. Toni does what is best for my hair so that it stays healthy. Even after high lights my hair doesn’t break off after (which always used to happen) and after my appointments I leave happy and my hair feels great. Best best best!!!

You will not be disappointed after leaving here the whole experience was great. Toni is very knowledgeable with every hair type and she made me feel very at ease I was a bit nervous with getting my hair colored for the first time and a little cut. I came in with a vision of how I want my hair to look and she told me how to get to that goal and still keep my hair healthy. She exceeded my expectations I walked out feeling like a brand new woman I can’t wait to go back !

I’ve been on my long hair journey and I’ve been doing my hair own hair for years. Then I found Toni and she’s the only stylist I’ll EVER trust with my tresses. She brought my damaged hair back to life. She works so fast I’m in and out in under an hour most times… and this is with a relaxer, wash, treatment & style. Toni is freaking amaaaaaazzzing. If you go anywhere else you’re crazy!

I found this salon on instagram and knew I would come here right away because of all the great work on her page. I come from a family full of hair stylists so I am not one to just let anyone touch my hair but from her work I just knew this was the right salon to go to! I visited this salon a week ago for a wash, blow out and style. It was a warm welcome. Toni is very sweet and pleasant. The salon is very clean and nicely decorated. My hair is natural so it’s very thick. She had no trouble managing it. You can sense when a stylist knows what they’re doing and I felt this right away. When Toni was done my hair was super straight, you would’ve never known my hair was natural and curly. I was more than pleased. When I was there she also worked on a young lady with a short style, it turned out beautifully. Visit Toni, you won’t be disappointed!

OMG where do I begin !!! Thanks for giving me Beyoncé hair. She does a broad range of services all of which she excels at. I’ve never had luck with extensions but not only has my hair grown significantly but she personalizes the hair style for your needs. The first time I got a weave and I usually never do that because of bad experiences in the past and not a damaged hair in sight. I wanted more versatility however so the second time we did microlinks in the front and braided in the back. Omg! so natural and I could wear my hair half up half down, tight slick pony tails, high pony tails. Omg YES ! I’m so beyond excited to have found her ! I go when I want to get styled for events or a new color or just to look amazing for my man ! Not to mention she is so PROFESSIONAL. You won’t be left waiting like other salons I have been to. SERIOUSLY whatever your hair texture or type she has the remedy. She maintains the integrity of your hair and the most important goal is for it to be healthy and strong and grow. COMPLETELY WORTH IT!

I went to Toni Burrell hair studio the salon is so nice and clean I went in for a wash color and microlink extensions when I tell you I’m in love with my hair she washed my hair massaged my scalp she asked me how scalp was feeling not every hair stylist does that but she is very professional and her work speaks for itself! I first found Toni back at a salon that was so hard to find, I mean it was in cognito. But now Toni has her own salon and it’s so beautiful and easy to find! My pixie cut started growing out (horrendously) so I made an appointment online and she saved my life!.. Well hair. I swear this lady knows what she’s doing! You don’t ever have to be scared in her chair. Needless to say I highly recommend her to anyone!

I have been growing my hair looking to Loc it for months now. I was introduced to Toni through other business and she showed me pictures of other clients that were looking for my same desired hair style who are now loyal clients of hers.
I was convinced that I would embark on my Loc journey with her, but after our first appointment I was sold. She is very professional, time efficient, and economically pleasing. :-)
The saloon has a beautiful modern design and the environment is very warm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Toni to anyone looking to satisfy their inner most hair desires. I have even recommended her to friends who weren’t looking for a hair stylist. With over 15 years of experience, it comes at no surprise that she does such an amazing job.

I just moved to San Diego and was having trouble finding a reputable salon/​stylist in the area. I actually discovered Toni through an instagram picture. I contacted her and went in the very next day for a consultation. I have been natural for 10 years and am out of touch with the sew-​in process. She was patient and walked me through everything. The shop was clean and spacious and the two other women in the Salon were very kind and welcoming. Toni had me in and out in no time but it didn’t feel rushed. I’ve already made my next appointment with her, and so should you!

Toni is truly gifted, she specializes in a variety of hair textures & techniques. I’ve been hopping around for the last few years trying to find someone who knew how to treat mixed wavy/​curly hair. It was to the point I had to see one lady to color, a different one to cut & another one for extensions, along with having to buy my own hair. So happy the hunt is over & I can honestly stand by her work! Toni does it ALL… I’ve never gotten so many compliments on my hair until I met her. Toni is absolutely amazing. I love a good hair cut, but I also love good customer service. Toni succeeds in both areas. I’ve been going to her for over a year now with at least 1 hair cut a month. You’d think that by now I’d be used to her way of cutting my hair, but she still wows me every single time. It puts a smile on my face every time I get a hair cut from Toni because she does such a great job. I’ve gotten compliments on my hair before, but not the way I’ve been receiving them ever since going with Toni, and I love that! Toni is such a breath of fresh air for San Diego, which is an area that is hard to find stylist that care and style ebony hair– professionally I should add. She is always professional, she is very knowledgeable about hair care, and she is always there to aid her clients in hair care or purchasing hair products.
Some stylist just do your hair, but in my opinion Toni is much more. She actually cares about the health and growth of her client’s hair. She will not just do what you come in and request if she’s not sure it’s in the best interest of the health of your hair!
She’s prompt with her appointments; there is no waiting because she over booked. She’s pleasant with a humble personality; coming to the salon is a good time, as it should be!
Toni has weaved my hair, straightened my natural tresses, she’s braided my hair; she can do everything. I haven’t got any color (yet) but I have seen for myself the color works she does and its amazing!
Her salon is lovely: it’s spacious and comfortable; great atmosphere with equally great people to add to your experience!

RESCUE ME!!!
when I first met her she was very professional and polite. During our consultation session she brought to the table everything she could do for my hair and what can I expect from her as my stylist. She answered all my questions and my main question was about time management, because my last stylist always had me in the shop all day and don’t nobody have time for that. She told me that she understood and that she don’t double book so when I schedule my appointment I was in and out. love that! She have done braids, weaves, conditioning, and color to my hair and every style was on point. I’m glad I have found her.

Toni is such an amazing stylist. We’ve done a lot of fun things with my hair including fun colors, beautiful beachy blondes and cute long layers. No matter what we decide to do to my hair she is always honest on what the outcome will be and above all wants to keep it healthy!
