I am very disappointed with my experience. I had an appointment this morning that I missed work for and drove all the way to La Mesa from Point Loma at 8 am. Once there, I was told they don’t accept Covered California insurance. I gave them my insurance number over the phone when making the appointment so obviously I was very annoyed when I heard that. Now I have to sit in completely stopped traffic on the 8 to get back to work in morning traffic, for nothing. The lady who informed me seemed nice, but someone there is definitely incompetent at their job because if I was taking on a new patient, I’d want to make SURE I took their insurance, so as to not waste either of our time. Bad business practice.

This clinic is great! The staff is attentive and friendly and I have seen Dr. Collins a few times. He is very intuitive and observant and takes the time to listen and hear what is wrong with you instead of looking at lab work only. I have autoimmune issues and he is the first one who actually listened and was able to help me start getting better after years of going to so many other doctors. In general they seem to think outside the box and take each person as an individual. Symptoms that I was told by other doctors were all in my head turned out to be a way to diagnose and help me get treated properly. The fact that their recommendations are getting me on the road to finally healing is the proof. I also appreciate that I don’t have to wait months to get in to see the doctor. If I have a question about treatment I can call in and usually the doctor will even get on the phone or somehow get me an answer to my question either the same day or the next.
I noticed a few poor reviews and I will say that there was previously another doctor (Brody) in their office for a few months or so who has since moved on due to complaints. He was not really with the program or holistic as he claimed, and I had a bad experience with him as well for a number of reasons. Once the clinic became aware of the issues with the other doctor and immediately investigated, he has since moved on. If you saw Brody in the past I will tell you that his treatment of patients is not the norm for this clinic, quite the opposite. Some of the best care I have received is from Dr. Collins.
I highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Collins.

I have seen Dr. Collins twice now for PRP injections in my shoulder. From the first contact with the office, they were timely and courteous in all interactions and have given me all the answers I need when asked. Also, their follow up with appointment scheduling and test result notification has been nothing short of impeccable.
As for the PRP itself– it’s been a godsend. Dr. Collins showed me the process and explained what he’s doing it as he’s doing it and why. After hearing from my trainer why she went to him and about his professionalism and service, I can vouch that he has been an excellent physician. I would recommend SDCIM to anyone looking for integrative treatment.

After having an X-​ray of my knee, I was diagnosed as needing a knee replacement from an orthopedic surgeon. When the pain got to the point of making the decision, I decided to find out what my go-​to Clinic for the last 40 years had to say. Dr. Drew Collins said I was a good candidate for ProLo Therapy and Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. I started that day August 1^st, 2013. The last appointment was in November and my knee has been steadily improving since day one of the procedures. I am very happy with the results and the wonderful care that I received from everyone in the office particularly Dr. Drew Collins. It was definitely worth the drive to La Mesa

I first went to the clinic years ago when I was referred there by my primary care doctor. He believed I had mercury poisoning. After the clinic verfied this, I completed many session of chelation until the mercury was totally removed from my body.
I continued to visit the clinic when I had some fatigue related issues and got assistance from the doctors there, allieviating my issues.
Awhile back, I decided to make them my primary care providers. I did this because I believe the doctors at the clinic keep themselves up on the latest knowledge and can provide me the best healthcare.
If you are looking for doctors who will truly care about you and your health, go and see how well you are treated by them and their staff!

Ive been meaning to write this for a couple weeks. I’ve been there once as a new patient and that’s all I needed. The 40 minute wait was a bad start. Especially since I’m very appreciative and familiar with great customer service, also how personal wellness and Doctor visits SHOULD BE. I was unable to get appointment with my usual Doctor and thought i’d try a new place after reading about them (NOT on Unilocal-​I should have). I overheard office staff clueless about questions being asked about HCG diet so much so they had to put phone down a couples times and hollar out loud at coworker to ask. My medical needs were elective and prevention/​homeopathic oriented -(not hcg diet luckily) luckily because had I been sick Or in physical pain, I would have really been upset outwardly. After 40 minutes I almost left but instead mentioned (reminded them after having very clearly checked in) my appointment time so that they’d know. A woman came to me unapologetically and took me to room for vitals which was confusing given the reason for my visit. 25 minutes later Doctor finally came in, scribbled notes and promised me all my goals to come true, and by that time I was done. I think I will see this place on turko files eventually. After the Doctor was done with his speel, he told me i’d take tests and then return in 10 days. Quickly ushered me out to office where staff said «there’s NO tests to take», but Doctor had already gone to next client. I left in tears, but knew i’d never be back. A waste of approximately 2 hours, and divulging information and answers to questions that had NOTHING TO DO WITH what I was being seen for (including about SEX which was off putting to say the least being asked unprofessionally by male dr. Who referred to female reproductive system as «SEX PARTS») ew. made me feel violated. I wished I had a hidden camera.
Being that I waited a couple weeks and didn’t review that same day confirms to me that it wasn’t just one of those days for me where I’m less tolerant of poor customer service. It actually REALLY SUCKED.
I ABSOLUTELY have the CORRECT location and business. I shared my experience which is why I value and trust the Unilocal community, and have been a part of for years. The business owner has contacted me (through Unilocal) stating I have wrong clinic, asking questions. HIPAA protects my information and Unilocal does NOT advocate hunting down reviewers to interrogate them. A simple apology would be nice, and my review gave ample valuable information into how as a business they can improve.

I would not recommend the San Diego Clinic of Integrative Medicine. They’re arrogant and in a hurry. Do not try to call if you have one question for the doctor. They’ll give you a rotten attitude over the phone and tell you to Google it. Just like that. Today there are too many Integrative Medicine Centers, to have to go to one where they treat you as if they were better than you.

Recently, I wrote a lengthy 5 start review of the Clinic, and it was removed by Unilocal’s computerized filtering application. Apparently, the review triggered a «too good to be true» filtering response. So, I will attempt to post again but be brief!
My husband and I live in the Midwest and winter in North County San Diego. Having spent 3 months of receiving exceptional health maintenance medical care from Dr. Drew Collins and his staff, we are truly grateful and look forward to our June-​July summer visit.
We feel the Clinic is cutting-​edge and far superior than what is available to us back home. Their up-​to-​date information and compassion to truly help the patient achieve optimal health are part of their vital medical care package.
We plan to relocate to southern CA in the near future to be near our adult children, and being able to continue our health maintenance care at the Clinic is the best bonus!

I’m going to say what the rest have said: Dr. Kaity Collins is an amazing Doctor. Seriously, she will change your life. She is caring and loving. She actually cares about you as a person and wants you to feel better.
After running around for a year going to different Doctors who wouldn’t take me seriously about my aches and pains Dr. Collins was the only one that listened and helped.
She also recommended a food allergy test (which I did and found out I am allergic to just about everything) and by eliminating the foods I am allergic to I’ve become a whole different person… I actually feel good!
She’s helped me with weight loss and my psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis in a safe and natural way.
The other Doctors and staff at the clinic are amazing also. I am so glad I found this place!

Dr Kaity Collins is a truly caring doctor with a personable approach which is lacking in our health care system today. She has treated me for my thyroid and other medical issues. I strongly recommend her if you are considering going on the HCG diet plan. It was comforting knowing that any concern I had was being answered by somebody who had also experienced this diet. I can’t speak highly enough about this clinic, whatever your health concerns may be you’ll be greeted by their friendly staff of doctors, nurses, and receptionists.

Dr. Kaity Collins is a fantastic doctor and I’m sad that I moved out of state and away from this great clinic. She helped me with some skin issues I was having and also treated/​got rid of my allergies. She is incredibly easy to talk to and made me feel like family. I highly recommend this clinic and couldn’t speak any higher about Dr. Collins!
