I would give this place negative stars if I could! My 22 yr old daughter was looking for her first car. She found the cutest Ford Escape at the local San Diego Autos. It was within her pre-​approved loan range from NFCU and she took her dad back to the dealership to take a test drive. The check engine light was on and the father half of the father/​son dealership promised that he would have his mechanic do a full inspection and make sure the car was in perfect condition when she came back to buy the car. She bought the car and the check engine light was no longer on, and she had driven the car about 5 miles to our house and she could hear a low whistling sound the whole way home. She wanted to take the car back that instant and get her check back. It was already closing time so I advised her to sleep on it and she would feel better in the morning and we would figure things out. We had called the dealership the same night to advise them that my daughter was upset about the noise and having second thoughts about purchasing the car and so when we arrived the next day the father half of the dealership met us and right away, monopolized the conversation with how offended he was that we would think that he would not stand by the quality of the car and no matter what the cost «even if the car needs a new engine, or costs $ 1000 to fix, I will take care of it» he kept reiterating that he did not make any profit by selling my daughter the car and why would he sell her the car for no profit just to sell her a clunker. I was finally able to make it clear that my this was my daughter’s first car purchase and he should understand her concerns and should either give her the check back and take the car back or truly follow through with his promise to make everything right. He advised us that she signed a release form saying that she couldn’t return the car without paying a $ 1000 restocking fee. This form was buried in a dozen forms that car buyers typically are expected to sign when buying a car. I sincerely regret that I wasn’t more involved in the initial car buying process with her. In my experience– I have never bought a new car and every used car I have purchased has been a fabulous purchase. We were very polite and I simply made it clear the circumstances of our situation. He gave my daughter a loaner and when the car was repaired 5 days later the sound was gone, but my daughter immediately took the car to a mechanic she was referred to by a friend and he told her that the car had previously been driven with no oil and that was the reason for the sound, and it still wasn’t fixed even though the sound was gone and it would cost around $ 600 to fix the internal problem. We took the car back again to now talk to the son partner. We were in and out of the dealership regarding the quality and driveability of the car at least 5 times. Talking to the son and the father. The bottom line is that they didn’t pay for the necessary repairs, they said their mechanic would replace the engine for $ 600, or we could use the warranty which would mean that we would have to wait 90 days and then pretend that the problem just started and hope that the warranty people would not investigate and find out that it was actually a preexisting problem where the car was driven for an extended period of time with no oil. If they were willing to put in a new engine for $ 600, why couldn’t they just pay our mechanic the $ 600 to make the necessary repairs? Why would we trust their mechanic who cleared the sound and check engine light in the first place without really fixing the problem? Why replace the engine for $ 600 when our mechanic whom we trusted could make the the proper repairs to the existing engine for the same amount? We finally agreed that the dealers would pay for the repairs our mechanic would have to make as long as my daughter signed a statement saying that the dealership was now free of any liability for any more repairs the car might need. My daughter didn’t want to sign any release of liability until we were sure the problem was fixed so she wanted to leave the car with her mechanic and then bring the receipt to the dealership and get the check they promised her. She asked for another loaner while her car was being repaired but the son said that they didn’t have any cars they could spare. Now– my daughter had driven this Ford Escape she just bought for a total of two days. It took 2 weeks for her car to be repaired and when we went to the dealership with the receipts, we heard a sob story about how the dealership didn’t make any profit on the car they sold my daughter and how their paypal account was hacked, and how they were borrowing money to pay my daughter $ 300!!! The receipts were for $ 600! So much for standing by their cars!!! Worst used car buying experience ever! My dad wanted to throw a brick through their window! And the guy Sasha who left a review above is the son from the dealership!

I have to say this place is the best and only buy a car. I jus bought a used bmw 325i. I am nothing but happy about my purchase. The guys really know how to make the customer feel comfortable. Ask for Sasha. He’ll take care of you!

I was not even thinking about getting a car but when I saw the Mini Cooper parked out front… I had to have it. My Honda was really beat up but still ran great with over 200k miles on it. Sasha was awesome! He wasn’t pushy at all and he gave me some pretty good advice about how to go about getting my loan. I got the warranty and I have complete peace of mind knowing that if anything goes wrong… it will be fixed. Something was up with the AC when I got it but they had it fixed right away. I have always been a little afraid of what it would be like buying my first car on my own but it was a great experience and I am thrilled with my car. I can’t imagine driving anything else. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone! :)

My experience here was not very grand. I was looking for a used car for my wife and found they had just the car we had in mind online. I called in asking about the condition of the vehicle and they said excellent condition! Showing up to the dealership we were greeted with decent customer service but went downhill fast! We hopped in the car for a test drive and it had empty Gatorade bottles inside with trash on the floor. Started the car for test drive and learned the check engine light was on! We should’ve stopped there but during the test drive we learned that the car liked to pull right… hard! That was that, we left as soon as we got back to the dealership.

This place was very helpful and helped me get the car I was looking for. They were very polite and helped me with all of my questions concerning the car I wanted. They went out of their way to make sure I was happy with my purchase and advised me that if anything happened, I could always come back to get the help I needed. I would recommend this place to any I know because the staff goes out of their way to get you the car you want even if they do not have it in stock. They have great financing options and will always work hard to make sure that you leave a satisfied customer!

Father and son team sold my 19 year old daughter a car with a bad transmission and the warranty to get it fixed… it has been a nightmare trying to work with them and the «warranty» company. Very unprofessional… they prey on young people who do not know any better.

We bought our college aged son a mini cooper here. When we couldn’t get financing the owner and his son stepped up and financed us themselves with no interest. When we had an issue with the car they stepped up and repaired the car. They didn’t have to do any of this, but they did. They took care of us like we were their own family. I would recommend anyone go there.

This place has a great selection of cars. The man who runs the place was very helpful. I was not 100% sure what I wanted, but was interested in a couple different cars. He recommended other possible options, but I returned and left in my new car because their price/​value were the best. Thanks San Diego Autos!

If I could give this business negative stars I would. I was treated with complete disrespect & they acted as though I was a pest, even though there was no one else on the entire property. The man who was there was awful & ill-​mannered. I will never bring my business to them & actually shun them every time I drive by & I would steer ANYONE away from them!
