History

Established in 2009.

Located right in the heart of the beautiful downtown La Mesa Village, Salon Radiance added a little bit more personality to the area. This seven station salon has been tastefully updated, creating a very warm, serene feeling from the moment you walk in. Each Stylist has their own unique style and individuality adding to the great vibe of the salon. Ongoing education is held weekly for the stylists to keep themselves up to date on all aspects of haircare. Oh, and you must check out the skincare room! if you are looking for a place to unwind & relax, then check out one of the most highly trained estheticians in the area, Mireya, for all your skincare needs.

Janan S.

Business Owner

Upon graduating and receiving her cosmetology and teachers license, Janan traveled to Los Angeles and completed a 6-​week course in hair cutting at Vidal Sassoon Academy. While she was there, she was bitten by the California bug and in 2000 found her self moving across country to live in Hollywood. During her time there, she took advantage of more specialized training in beauty and special effects makeup, master coloring, & in the practical hands-​on applications used in all stages of motion picture hair production.

While living in Hollywood, she stumbled upon a «For Rent» sign in a prime commercial center near the beach. That’s when the seed was planted for her to open a hair and skincare studio. While there, she quickly built up a solid clientele due to her reputation as a première hair colorist in the area.

This has led her to Her most recent project. Salon Radiance is a beautiful salon full of unique, individual and creative stylists covering all aspects of hair and skincare!

The first haircut went pretty well cut was precise and pretty much what I asked for with the exception of the bangs being left hanging in my eyes. I have a vision impairment so it’s important. I went home and trimmed them myself. I went back 5 weeks later for a trim. this time I was left with spots only one inch long above my bangs which again were left in my face. the neckline is visibly a half inch longer on one side, the hair was drastically shortened below the crown leaving a mushroom effect. tons of product and curling was done to hide the bad cut so I didn’t see it till I washed and styled myself. The stylist was polite and sweet but that does not makeup for scalping me. I cannot figure out why he did that to me. needless to say I won’t be going back. Buyer beware.

Franchesca went above and beyond to get me in & totally worked around my schedule. She took the time to listen to me and delivered exactly what she said she would. She also took her time with coloring my hair and gave me the royal treatment. She made my feel like a queen. My hair looks the best it has looked in years! Love the cut.

I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Laura. SO HAPPY with what I ended up with! I went in with six different pictures, not knowing which one I wanted, and she helped me pick the best one for my hair and face and it turned out AMAZING! We did a blonde balayage on my shoulder-​length, chestnut brown hair. I was so nervous about going blonde and I had no reason. With 12 years of experience, she knows how to take care of a customer. THANK YOU, still loving my hair!

This review is for Laura H. She did an ombré bayalage on my hair, as well as a cut. And I am obsessed with it! She did exactly what I wanted! I have gotten highlights before and they turned orange, but Laura was able to get my hair to a perfect, beautiful, natural blonde! Not only was she easy to communicate with, she was professional, and fun and easy to talk to. I also loved the way she styled my hair when she was done! I highly recommend her and am definitely going to be coming back to her for all my hair needs! Love love LOVE! Thank you, Laura! I am unbelievably happy with my hair and feel so much more confident! This review is for Sarah! I had so much anxiety about cutting my hair, but Sarah was so calm and made me feel so comfortable. She didn’t just start cutting my hair but she showed me what it would look before she started. I didn’t want a dramatic change from long to short hair and she was completely understanding. She made great recommendation to get my hair back to healthy. Now my hair is absolutely amazing and healthy, I just love it!!! I highly recommend Sarah for hair cut, she really takes the time to perfect everything and leaves you happy. Thanks you Sarah, I’m definitely coming back to Salon Radiance! :)

Highly recommend giving Salon Radiance a try. I just moved to the area and was in desperate need of a fresh cut. Checked Unilocal and all I saw were good reviews and I’ve got nothing bad to say. The place was clean. Decorated like you were in a little escape from reality, mini vacation from the outside world. Staff was super friendly. By the luck of the draw I scheduled an appointment with Tracee! I was able to get in 15 minutes after I called and she was FABULOUS! Not only did she do an amazing job on my hair, but she made a real effort to connect to me which is something I value. I give a lot of trust and power to stylists who I work with mainly because I never know what I want. She did not disappoint. My hair feels incredible. Much fuller. The cut is great. Nothing but praises to both Tracee and Salon Radiance! You now have a regular customer.

I have been going to Veyra Garcia since she started off here in Yuma, Az, I was pretty heartbroken when she moved to San Diego because she wouldn’t be just a few minutes away anymore. However, she is the only person I trust with my hair, I’ve tried going to others before and none of them work magic on my hair like Veyra does. I drive about 2 ½hrs. just to get my hair done by her and I never regret it. She’s very professional and outgoing, I highly recommend going to Veyra for all your hair care needs!

This review is for Monica Pacheco and is a bit overdue but necessary!!!
I recently had my hair cut and colored (for the first time ever!!!) with Monica and I am so happy with the results. She was not pushy about coloring my hair and was very respectful about my choices regarding color.
I went for a light brown balayage and Monica was careful to make sure that I was not overwhelmed with the choice of color, and mixed a color that I was perfectly happy with and did not freak me out about the fact I was coloring my «virgin» hair!
Monica is extremely talented and experienced and it shows very clearly in her work. I am happy to have found a permanent hairdresser.

Sarah is very personable, kind, and sweet. She makes you feel comfortable and does a great job on eyelash extensions. They run me around $ 65 before tip but that depends on how dramatic you want yours to look. Salon is small on a side street and I haven’t had trouble finding street parking nearby.

I went to Salon Radiance because I saw a co-​worker with an awesome do and color. I have been there 3 times and have found an outstanding stylist, JESSICA! miracle worker, very nice, very professional, listens to what I want and provides outstanding suggestions on color, cut, etc. everything. I am not sure that my photos do her work the justice it deserves. She is awesome. The price is also very reasonable. If you’re looking for a stylist; please do yourself a favor and call Jessica.

Just got my hair done with Adrienne!
She is such an a amazing person, and made my hair look beautiful!
I was going for a balayage, with a dark brown, and it came out better than I could imagine!
We had a great dialect during the whole entire process, and helped educate me on what was going on. (Since I had absolutely no idea)
She is a woman of many talents! Everyone must go to her!

ASK FOR ADRIENNE. Her passion is art and your hair will be her canvas. The art pieces hanging on the walls are of her own if you need proof of how talented she is with paint. Now if you want to see her magical hair abilities, just look at my photos.
I went to an upscale 4.5 star salon in New York and got a terrible dip dye-​looking «ombré.» Then I went to a 5 star salon in clairemont but they made it look even worse. As my last attempt of getting an ombré that didn’t look ratchet, I was recommended to see Adrienne who specializes in color corrections.
Adrienne is a genuinely caring person who is obviously in love with her career of 21 years as a hair stylist. We had such great conversation together and she made the time fly by as I sat in her chair. I’ve finally found my go-​to stylist!
