Penske Collision Fix Auto & Glass

My car was hit by someone while parked. 2014 Mazda Cx5. My family has used this Collision Center a couple times and had great experiences. Armando was very helpful and got me the best estimate. I had gotten one much lower that was not as thorough. The car looks like it did when I bought it. Also I appreciated that my car was cleaned & detailed. Even the leather was clean in bye interior and tires dressed.

I was referred to Penske by my Mercury Insurance Company after my vehicle had sustained damage to the driver’s side front bumper. I worked with Gus Meza and he was excellent explaining initial information, keeping me posted on progress of repair, and reviewing paperwork/​precautions when the work was finished. The work was delayed at one point because the bumper did not fit properly so Gus worked directly with Mercury to get authorization for ordering a new bumper directly from Toyota. He said that it was not only out of concern for my safety, but also because Penske stands behind their 100% guarantee of customer satisfaction and quality of work. Additionally, I was happy with the coordination of direct payment between Penske and Mercury without anything out-​of-​pocket from me. Having a car rental on-​site was also convenient. Overall, my experience with Penske was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing body repair.

I took in my suv to Penske collision fix auto and glass over a highly recommended shop mostly due to the convenience of location (right down the street from work) and based on the false assumption that due to my suv being a ford they would know the car inside and out and do quality work. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The quality of workmanship was not on par with my expectations as I am a car enthusiast and detail my own cars so I know every inch of the suv and the condition of it prior to taking it in. Unfortunately, I was not able to thoroughly go over the work done until a few days after and I was shocked with what I found. 1. oil stained fingerprints on the leather seats which I am still trying to get some stains out. 2. leftover pieces in the cargo area and new scratches in the cargo area plastic that should not have been there (never use it) so I can only assume that it was used for storage. 3. swirl marks on the clearcoat on portions of the car that should not have been worked on, possibly from a sander (I was able to polish them out) 4. contamination spots on the clear coat of the hood from possibly a dirty spray booth (while these may appear inconspicuous to the naked eye, they are an eyesore to me when I clean the car) 5. half painted parts underneath the hood (the rest of the car is painted black but the new pieces they replaced with were not so it looks mismatched and unprofessional) 6. I was told that they were able to match the price of my insurance quote and obtain new oem pieces. While they are oem, I’m sure they are not new as my grill has obvious pits in the chrome from road wear 7. missing nuts on the underneath plastic trim (they must of figured I wouldn’t look there). While most of this stuff may seem petty, in my opinion, this is amateur work for the inflated price they charged my insurance and luckily was something that I could finish on my own to my expectations. This will be the last time that I deal with anything related to Penske and advise others to do their due diligence before placing their trust at Penske collision fix auto and glass.

I recently took my car into the Drew Ford Collision repair center in La Mesa. I was overwhelmed by the quality of customer service as well as the professional repair they did on my brand new 2014 Explorer. I was even Assisted by the Shop Manager, Larry with my personal belongings and 3 kids so that I could get over to Enterprise who also did a nice job. Overall, my experience was absolutely excellent and I will definitely be back. If you need any repairs done on your car, go to Drew!

I would like to thank Bill Drew and his fine team at the Drew Collision center! Larry Houk Collision Center Manager was great going over everything about my truck! I bought my truck at Drew Ford back in 1998 and it has been a great truck! Just a few months ago the paint was getting a little bad on the fender but the whole truck still looked new! I called Bill Drew and after all theses year he still took care of me! His costumer service is great too! I would recommend anyone to him. If you are looking for a new car at a great price go to Drew Ford. You will be happy years later too!

Horrible work. I was shocked at how poorly there work was. Overspray from not painting where they were supposed to. Truck was dirty with lots of compound not cleaned up. Spots were not painted and they even forgot to put a decal on my truck. I would have gotten better results at a local collision repair center for much less. I expect excellent results when I take my Ford to a Ford dealer to get repair work done and I know that it will cost more. I dont expect to pay more and recieved below average work. Take your vehicle somewhere else and do yourself a favor.

Happy, happy, happy with their service. The check in process was a piece of cake and all I had to do was walk a few paces over to Enterprise to pick up my rental. The follow up calls were prompt, and when my car was ready, they drove it as a courtesy to Drew Hyundai for routine maintenance. I hope I don’t need them again any time soon but if I do I will be back! Thanks, Drew!

A college student rear-​ended me in the parking lot, and after getting the estimate from the insurance company, I took my poor little Jetta to Drew Collision.
They were awesome. They handled everything with the insurance company, any changes that were made in the estimate, and with an Enterprise rental right on the lot, it was pretty much a very easy one stop shop.
It took about 15 days for everything to get done, but I was warned ahead of time of that. No complaints!

I bought my new Ford Edge at Drew 2 years ago and have been the victim of a few minor blemishes (caused by stupid idiots who don’t know how to park/​open their door nicely/​PAY ATTENTION WHILE DRIVING…).
I will always come here for anything needing to be fixed on my Ford because they have the best service techs and only use genuine Ford parts. They also keep me safe under my warranty doing the aforementioned… unlike some no-​name mechanic who may unintentionally (or intentionally) void my warranty by servicing or modifying my car.
Getting your car repaired is never fun, especially when it involves body damage. but this collision center really takes care of you and tries their best to make it pleasant from start to finish. Most often they are done with the project before the estimated date, and they always return your car to you with a complimentary wash!

Our almost brand new 2008 Ford Fusion was rear-​ended on the way to the Del Mar Fair June 17^th, doing considerable damage. I was the driver and I can’t describe the heart-​sinking feeling after I got over the shock of being slammed into. The other driver was a 17 year old girl who also was on her way to the fair (we were both almost to the Via de la Valle exit). I can’t help but wonder since she was driving alone if she might have been yakking on her cell phone (before the new Hands-​free law) telling her friends she was almost there and not paying attention but I don’t know for sure.
Because we bought the car from Drew Ford, my husband wanted them to do the repairs, which our AAA insurance approved. It wasn’t cheap – almost $ 10,000 for the fender, trunk lid, complete new floor on the trunk (wheree it buckled to absorb the impact protecting us from getting the worst of it), 2 new mufflers, left quarter panel, labor. lots of little parts along the way, thorough inside cleaning to get rid of coffee spill/​stains from the crash, and who knows what else. But we just got it back today and it looks brand new again!
The original date we were told we would get it back was August 22^nd so we are delighted it is done nearly a month earlier than that. Perhaps we could have found a place to do the work cheaper but they couldn’t possibly done a better job. So now I can not only recommend the sales office where we bought the car, but the collision repair also!
