Coming to the United States from Europe in the mid-1980s, Margit has been an enthusiastic San Diegan ever since. As the president of the House of Austria, she is actively involved in the House of Pacific Relations in Balboa Park and contributes to cultural understanding and pacific (peaceful) relations between nations. Margit loves working with people and building relationships; she has sincere appreciation for the diversity of individual cultures, personalities and temperaments. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, movies, camping, hiking, kayaking and the great outdoors in general.
