La Mesa Village Dental

I have been a patient of this group for almost 15 years and I have NEVER had a bad experience there. The front office staff are the friendliest, most helpful staff I have ever encountered and the dentists, Dr. Cervantes and Dr. Vargas, are first rate! I finally got my husband to switch from a dental group that treated him like his was on an assembly line. He loves La Mesa Village Dental as much as I do. They will have us as patients the rest of our lives!

Awesome dentists! I brought my 2 year old in for his first dental check up. Dr. Cervantes was patient, made him feel very comfortable, and made my little ones teeth from brown stained to pearly white! It was an awesome experience and fantastic staff! I can’t wait to bring him here again in 6 months!

Everyone at La Mesa village dental exceed all expectations! I showed up on their door step 6 years ago. My teeth and gums were a mess. Every single person I interacted with on that day gave me the confidence to continue seeing them. Fast forward 6 years and one root canal, a couple of crowns and most importantly my implants! My lower jaw was so far diminished, Val kept gently telling me I needed more help than they could give. They referred me to a specialist. After 2 ½ years of rebuilding my lower jaw and 4 implants my dental health is where it needs to be. I was taught the importance of flossing (yes it is a must), seeing them 3 times a year for cleanings and how to get in front of any dental problems. The way I found la Mesa village dental? They advertised as a place for dental chickens!

I just want to update… I recommend Dr. Cervantes. 1 & ½ years and I’ve had my share of work done in his office — seems to me he’s at the top of his profession. I think I’m like everyone else, a little anxiety at the thought of dental work — but my confidence in Dr. Cervantes is pretty high. I should add that I’ve been in San Diego for a little over two years and I found Dr. Cervantes through 1800-Dentist…for which I am very thankful!

I have got to say that going to the Dentist is not an easy thing for me. I have found comfort in dentistry with the Staff and the Dr Cervantes at La Mesa Village Dental. They mad me feel at ease both medically and financially.

I have to say, I was really leery when I had to find a new dentist after 15 years. But a friend of mine recommended La Mesa Village Dental. I have had 2 fillings replaced, a crown, and cleaning. Every time I come, I’m greeted by the lovely ladies at the front (Vicky, Barbara and Lisa). Then, the hygienists are all amazing… Kim, Valerie, etc. Finally, Dr. Cervantes is quick, diligent and awesome at what he does. I can’t tell you how happy I am to have La Mesa Village Dental! Come check them out. You won’t be sorry!

I’m glad I picked this dental office, all the women were very pleasant. I was even given quarters to pay the parking meter, how gracious. I had a cleaning by Mary and she was awesome, corky, and informative. The receptionists were very helpful, and continue to be so, with insurance. I had a thorough explanation of my options available to me for replacement teeth, so now I know what to expect. Thankfully, I have insurance, but after looking at the itemized receipt, a fluoride rinse is around 50 bucks, holy hell. The only thing I found disturbing was when I called to book the appointment, she requested my husbands social security number, since my insurance is through him. When I gave it to her she repeated the numbers one by one, and then repeated them in their entirety again. just a bit of personal information to repeat out loud, I have no idea who could have been in the room. (Thats why I give 4 stars)

Friendly, professional office that works with student/​uninsured patients.
La Mesa Village was able to substantially underbid other S.D. offices. I was looking for a cleaning and a Zoom Whitening, and their prices were already the lowest in the area BEFORE applying a student discount. All of the staff was extremely nice and made me feel very comfortable.

To say that my past experiences with dentists had left me anxiety-​ridden would be an understatement.
My experience here has completely reversed that. Dr. Vargas was friendly, warm, and welcoming. There were no lectures or chastisements. Just thorough, gentle care and clear explanations. I wasn’t pushed to buy anything or get fancy treatments I didn’t need. They’re great! I even walked out with a prize!

After extremely unpleasant experiences at my previous dentist, I scheduled an appointment at La Mesa Village Dental after checking them out on the BBB website, and hoped for the best.
I was not disappointed. First off, I was able to get an appointment at 7am (the earlier the better!), and they were ready, friendly, and waiting for me when I arrived on time. The hygienists are incredibly nice, as is reception and the dentist (Dr. Mayora). I didn’t feel the least bit pressured to sign up for expensive treatments, but I was given a fair assessment of my teeth and provided with options.
The office is quiet, friendly, and very nicely appointed. All the records (including xrays) are digital, with computers in every room, and my xrays were clearly explained to me and shown on the monitor.
I was able to receive a quote for my next appointment on the spot, as well as a printout of my family’s future scheduled appointments.
Nicely done — I’d recommend them to anyone!
