La Mesa Smog Check

I got my truck smogged here a couple times. All the reviews are true… the guy who works here is the most friendly and helpful individual I’ve ever came across at an auto shop.

the mechanic that took care of my vehicle was very amicable. the service was very good and in a fast matter. plus they update your service electronically with DMV and the price is very fair $ 50.

Went to this location for the smog check. When I pulled up, friendly gentleman approached me to see what I need. He took care of everything, thus making entire transaction very smooth. The smog check itself took about 15 to 20 minutes so I didn’t really wait that long. I definitely recommend this place for sure.

I own a 2002 Lexus RX300. The driver’s side window switch was failing. My mechanic said my only option was a new master switch. Installed cost around $ 1,000. I talked to Alfonso at La Mesa Smog Check. He was able to repair the current master switch. My window is working great. Cost $ 95. Take your auto electric issues to Alfonso.

I love this place!!! The Asian guy there is always so kind and accommodating when I go in. This is my second year. Fast and courteous. Explains everything. Always has up-​to-​date People magazines and a chair in front of the door inside gets a nice breeze. Only takes about 15 minutes and I’m on my way. He’s the best!!!

I wish everything was this easy! I pulled in at 8:25 and at 8:45 I was back on the road.

Got a smog check and an oil change from the partner business at this location. $ 50 for the smog test and $ 35 for the oil change. Total time was around 45 minutes. Both business owners were very friendly and personable.

This is my favorite place for my smog checks now. Easy in, easy out. I was finished in 15 minutes today. Friendly service at reasonable prices. See you again in 2 years.

The business operator was very nice. He did my smog check and had me out of there in 15 minutes. It was $ 50 including the certificate. He also sent the report to the DMV electronically so it was taken care of for me. I will definitely come back. I also appreciate that he didn’t try to sell me anything else.
Yes, the place is small, and unappealing. But, it is a car shop after all.

50 $ flat for smog check. Nice Asian guy. Did it in 15 minutes. Cool. Looks ghetto but gets the job done.

Fast, efficient, polite, and honest! I called at 1:00 on a Saturday for a smog check. At 1:55 I was walking out of the AAA office with my registration and tags. You might find a smog place a little cheaper but this was $ 50 well spent!

$ 50, even. No wait. Was in and out in 15 – 20 minutes. Randy did the smog check and he was super polite and respectful. All the other mechanics look rough around the edges, but they are all friendly and professional, as well. I was greeted by all of them as soon as I walked up. It’s a very tiny place and appears unwelcoming. But there is really good service to be found there, and that can’t be beat.

Doesn’t look like much, no waiting area except for three beat up chairs outside, but the owner is super nice and respectful. And no wait time at all. Very quick

True you could probably find a better deal, but the first cheaper place I went to was an hour and a half wait.

This place is right on the corner of La Mesa Blvd and El Cajon Blvd. Not a real pretty place but I have no complaints. It was quick and the guy was professional and friendly. $ 50 Bucks out the door.

This place did my car for $ 41 + the mandatory state $ 9 for $ 50 even.
I only had to wait for 8 minutes before they started my car and then it took them only 15 or less to do it.
I dunno… I browsed the web on my phone, called a friend, looked up some pics to inspire me for a project I’m working on and BAM I’m being interrupted because my car’s done. Perfect. I didn’t even get a chance to get bored: D
The state makes smogging pretty pricey, if you can find a coupon for a place that INCLUDES the certificate for under 50 clams go for it. But if you just wanna get er dun, then this place will do the trick.
The guy working there was real nice. No complaints on service either.

Ok, so it was the last business day of the month and I needed a smog check. Yeah… me and about 5 thousand other people in San Diego. I stopped by 4 other smog check places and was told that I needed to wait at least 3 hours before my car would get into a stall for inspection. And then I cruised by La Mesa Smog Check on my way to Tasty Garden for lunch.
Ok. So my smog inspection set me back 50 clams. After seeing so many smog check ads for about half the price, I thought to myself. Hmm. Time is money. Today was also pretty damn hot; probably in the 80s. Do I really care to mold my ass to one of those hard plastic seats for 3 and a half hours for a smog check? Oh hell no.
So I drop my car off, took a nice little stroll over to Tasty Garden for lunch, cruised back and my vehicle was done. At La Mesa Smog Check, you’ll sure pay the price for fast service but it is worth the wait… or lack there of XD
BTW, BHM Italian (best subs in San Diego) is about a block away.
