King of the Painters is genuinely the most professional painting contractor I have ever hired. They have great staff from the salesman to the painting crew. It was a pleasure working with them and will use them on my future project.

Painting overall was fine. Crew was a little slow and they could have been more organized in staging the painting from one room to another. Be sure you write down the colors and finish for each room. Our kitchen and nook areas were finished in semigloss and it should have been flat. Only bathrooms with showers were suppose to be semigloss. Miscommunication I guess and I wanted the project done so I’m living with it. Pricing was better than others so I give this company four stars.

We were very pleased with the expertise and service from King of Painters. Joey has an excellent eye for detail and his recommendations on colors and finishing detail was exceptional. They pay attention to detail and the entire project went so smoothly. We are very pleased with the new look and quality of work that went in to our home. Very professional and we would recommend them highly!

Oh, my, goodness! Our house is so pretty. We can’t express enough how pleased we were with the whole process. Savannah and the other office staff were so pleasant and courteous. Joey came out to give us an estimate which was a little higher than a couple of others — but we liked the professionalism and knowledge that Joey presented. He even gave us color ideas for the exterior of our home — which was very helpful. Now for the painting crew. What can we say. Todd, the foreman, and his crew were AMAZING. They were hardworking, meticulous, knowledgeable, efficient, and caring workers. We appreciated the fact that they were considerate of us and our neighbors by being quite workers. Everyday the crew cleaned up the areas and left our property in pristine condition.
We would recommend King of the Painters to anyone searching for quality work.

The roofing guys we’re alittle slow, but after they they got going it was off to the races. Great team, great job. James was our contact supervisor. He keeped things moving the best he could. Oscar was our site lead man. Good guy and great team. I would recommend them all day. One important thing is communication. That we had.

The owner Bob is very knowledgeable. Javi and Jeff were the painters for our project and we really liked them. They did a great job down to every little detail. I will use them again in the future. I used them in the past and was very happy with them as well.

35-​Year old condo complex — exterior woodwork with lots of old extensive damage.
These guys were very competitively priced, but equally clean, reliable, and exceptional in their workmanship. Their crew consists of professional painters, not casual laborers, and they were all extremely pleasant and courteous (lots of Sirs and Ma’ams). So five stars to all of them — notably Cesar, Felipe, and Brandon. We couldn’t be more grateful.
And thanks to Bob, the owner/​president, for taking us by the hand in the beginning, as he met with our HOA and guided us through the process, including color choices. Most importantly though, everything Bob promised, his company delivered. If you want more detail, here’s the long version:
As HOA secretary, I was tasked with finding the right company to do the exterior painting of our condo-​complex. Our buildings are 35-​years old and have extensive woodwork and decks with lots of peeling paint and some wood requiring replacement. Because our last paint job experience was such a nightmare, the pressure was on to get it right this time.
I started by checking Unilocal & The Better Business Bureau so that I could at least cover myself if things went horribly wrong again. I quickly found The King of the Painters, but their reviews were almost too good to be true, so I was a bit skeptical (having had some of my own reviews filtered).
Regardless, I made an appointment and Bob showed up at our location to meet with me. Professional and knowledgeable, but more importantly, believable, and in the end, he proved to be thorough, honest and accurate in his representations.
We contracted, and our job was tentatively scheduled with a one-​month lead time. When the day arrived, the crew showed up on time and work began. Two-​and-​a-​half weeks later, the job was finished. It took a few days longer than originally anticipated, but that was only due to the poor condition of our wood, which required a lot more prep than expected.
The crew actually spent more time prepping than painting (which is good), they cut no corners, and the results were well worth it. Their workmanship is the best I’ve ever seen. Perfect lines, no slop, flawless clean-​up, and two coats of paint where and whenever necessary. (They even left and labeled the left-​over paint cans for us, so we can do touch-​up when the time comes.)
And here’s the final payoff: After it was over, there were lots of positive comments by our owners/members…and not a single complaint. So thank you guys — you made ME look good!

A few months ago, they put up and painted our fence — excellent job. A few weeks ago, they addressed our eaves, trim, patio cover and chimneys — again, excellent work. The clean-​up was also outstanding!

Thoroughly enjoying all the rave reviews my neighbors are giving my «new» house. Very impressed with crew from King of the Painters — workers, quality of materials, attention to detail, clean-​up, responsiveness. I’ll be having them back to paint the interior.

JUAN and FRANCISCO immensely proficient FAUX PAINTERS. Immaculate daily end-​of-​shift clean-​up and thoughtul consideration of homeowner’s needs and minimization of inconvenience. Every wall gorgeous, especially faux walls! Can’t find one area or color border not 100% painstakingly precise. Blown away by this contractor and his crew, and would earnestly recommend KOP to my family, colleagues and friends without hesitation.

There are simply not words to adequately describe the professionalism and expertise of KoP. It seemed a daunting task to take on painting the entire interior of our home including kitchen cabinets but this is the company to do it. Joey Atkins excellent and positive input regarding color selection and fair and down to the penny estimate assured us we were in capable hands. Francisco and his crew were always on time, efficient and kept us informed every step of the way. In addition his artist’s eye encouraged us to make a small adaptation which made a dramatic improvement in our entryway. Wow! Our home is stunning! Truly, this company is King.

Bob Lyon and all of his team don’t really need any more accolades so I’ll be brief. I wish every contractor did business the way these guys do. I have been in the property management business for 30 years and dealt with all kinds. Painting contractors in particular are generally shoestring operations, independent contractors and mom-​and-​pops who may have the best intentions in the world but lack the resources, manpower, skills, ethics, talent and longevity that KOP provides.
I first gave them a try because I liked the look of their bright red work vehicles you see jetting around town.
They have since painted three of our apartment buildings in Coronado and my personal residence in Mt. Helix. Just recently they built a large deck onto my home as well. The work is beautiful. All of the crews are well-​managed and customer-​oriented. On the rare occasion something goes amiss Bob’s response is always, «What do you want us to do to make it right?» and then they do it. That’s it. And they don’t up-​charge you to death. They just make it right to your satisfaction.
Absolute best quality, great prices, honest, on-​time, neat and tidy, the whole package. And the pretty red trucks too!
Oh, and someone mentioned Bob’s art training. When it came to my home I just let Bob pick the colors for everything. You get a free color consultant with your paint job!

The King of the Painters just painted the exterior stucco on my house and did a terrific job. The price was reasonable and the way they apply paint is not like most painters. They spray and roll as they work their way around the house. This results in a fully covered thick coat of paint with no peek-​a-​boos
They primed first where I had some stucco repair done and prepped and filled minor cracks. Adrian and his crew were a joy to have at my house with a great sense of humor and joking around with each other. A well seasoned crew and a very professional job. I highly recommend them.

This is the 3^rd time I’ve used them and there is a reason why they’re called the «KING».
If you ever have anything done make sure Omar is there. He will make sure it’s done right. Bob and Danielle are the greatest. If you don’t believe me, look at the job they did in my place.

We recently used King of the Painters for the 2^nd time in our home. When we decided to redo our bathrooms, we did not even think about using another contractor. Our first experience with King of the Painters was so positive it was a no brainer on who we were going to use.
This time we remodeled our bathrooms. The owner Bob came out and we discussed what ideas I had and how the job would go. We had already purchased the vanity’s and all the items to go into the bathrooms. All that needed to be done was to create the beautiful bathroom! With that in mind, this time around I let Bob’s creativity work. He saw the paint chips I had found and pulled out his paint colors (which were way better than what I had) and we decided on the colors that would match the furniture to be put in there. My bathrooms are now beautiful!
The installer Aaron is a hoot, very polite and listened to what my concerns were. If he saw a problem or found a problem, he immediately informed me. He would clean up daily when he was done. Since I work nights, they were very careful and tried to be as quiet as possible while I napped. The painters were quiet, cleaned up after themselves daily. The shower door installers were quick and did a great job! Thanks Eric!
When the job was completed, all the clean up was done to perfection, they removed everything all the trash and prior vanities.
I have already decided on two more jobs for King of the Painters, just have to save up for it. Bob has already had ideas on what to do. Can’t wait to see those ideas come thru!
