Joseph Aiello, DO

Went to Dr. Aiello because I was referred to him from a physical therapist who had a client receive help from him for their MTHFR mutation. He is extremely rushed during your visit and doesn’t take the time to answer questions regarding labs and supplements that he is giving to you. They prescribe their supplements that they make but contain ingredients that are harmful to some people, especially those with autoimmune issues. I asked why they are using stevia and xylitol in supplements and his response was that they taste better with those ingredients. Seems like a nice guy but doesn’t take the time to understand and treat chronic illnesses in a proper way. I was rushed in and given $ 100 worth of supplements that all have ingredients in them that I will never be able to take. Hopefully he slows down and learns to take the time with individuals who are really suffering and looking for help.

Dr. Aiello and his staff are fantastic! I have avascular necrosis in my knee joints that are historic from steroidal use during leukemia chemotherapy tx 15 yrs ago. I chose to do the stem cell therapy on my left knee with PRP blood from my right vein around it to help reduce my inflammation, heal tears and increase my knee longevity so I can prolong if ever have to get a total knee replacement.
During my initial consultation, Dr. aiello told me which procedures would benefit and why. I signed up for my own stem cell therapy and so ecstatic I did!
During my actual treatment that lasted 2 years. Dr Aiello and staff took me through each step. 1) lumbar puncture to get the stem cell 2) 10 minute centrifuge to get the rich nutrient dense stem cell 3) blood in vein taken and centrifuged for 10 minutes 4) 6 tubes of blood and stem cells into my left knee with the use of ultra sound. YES, some pain but that pain is the blood circulating and healing the tears. 5) All done with a list of clear instructions and pain killers no NSAIDS. I was able to walk on it with minimal pain until lignocaine wore off then took meds night 1 with ice knee for 20 minutes on the hour.
Six weeks out with much success. I can do all my normal activities: biking, walking, intense reformer pilates and lifting with minimal pain! It’s unbelievable when you used to have so much pain and 90%-95% is gone.
Note: longevity of the therapy is unknown. However, everybody’s bodies are different. I am for sure going to get the therapy done in my right knee. I hope individuals with tears and joint problems such as arthritis and necrosis will turn to this therapy before medications that act as band aids and surgeries that create scar tissue and inflammation.

I never see Dr. Aiello, but beware of going there. I went there for my appointment and front desk lady told me to show up half an hour earlier to fill out the forms. My appointment was at 2:20 pm so I got there at 1:50. After 10 minutes of just waiting for front desk to finishing her phone call, she gave me 4 forms to fill out which only took me 3 minutes to filled it out. So I was waiting and 2:40 pm and I approached front desk and asked her how much longer it takes to I can see the doctor. Rudely she respond doctor is doing a procedure and I really don’t know how much longer it takes. I have super severe neuromuscular neurodegenerative disease which daily worsening and I am in an electronic wheelchair unfortunately unable to walk in last 30 day since is very fast my condition deteriorates and I don’t have any diagnose beside the diagnosis of Atypical ALS (lou gehrig’s disease) which isn’t sure. I ask her I have another appointment and I can’t wait long. I got 2 hours plus public transportation ride to get to his office. She said I don’t really do not know how long. I told her I have to call another doctor office to let them know. So I left the office to make a phone call. I came back 6 minutes later and front desk lady said, well you have to reschedule the appointment or doctor can’t see you because you left and doctor has to see patients in their appointment time. It is really doesn’t make sense, I got there with difficulty and severe condition with electronic wheelchair for 2 hours of bus rides I got there 30 minutes early and my appointment was at 2:20 and I ask her at 2:45 and she said doctor is doing procedure and she doesn’t know how long it takes and I told her I am making a call and when I returned in 6 minutes it is late that doctor to see me since he has to see patients on their appointment times, DOES THIS MAKE SENSE, I just left and never go back to this place. It is horrible. Unfortunately they don’t care they are money motivated and they don’t care about your health and time and how severe your condition is. They really don’t care about the patients
Hope everyone want to be seen in this office think twice about it and do their research.

Dr. Aiello and Dr. Fusco have been absolutely wonderful in getting myself into a healthier state, not just making me no longer feeling sick! Both are very attentive and pay close attention to the problems, and how to help you live healthier.

I NEVER got to see Dr. Aiello but I did see Dr. Martinez. I drove 71 miles to the clinic after being referred by a doctor that was interviewed on my radio show. The people at the front desk did not acknowledge me and left me standing for a long time. I had to use the restroom so, I saw a restroom and simply opened a door leading to the back and used it myself. I returned to the counter and was FINALLY acknowledged by a very unfriendly young woman in glasses who asked for my copay… no small talk, no how are you… while another staff member asked her question after question… not knowing what she was doing. My appointment was brief. The doctor never looked at a rash I reported. I was giving HUNDREDS of dollars worth of supplements I had never heard of and each time I went in… I got charged for hundreds of dollars worth of supplements… NO long term strategy planning… NO IV treatments… NO infrared… NO sonic… just pounds and pounds of expensive supplements…40 or so pills per day. I am very disappointed. My copay was always different depending on who was at the desk. When I complained, Dr. Martinez dropped me and told me that she was not the best Dr. to help me. I have cancer and was never taken seriously at this office. I am taking a substance that has helped me lower my PSA. I asked them to incorporate it into my treatment protocol and they never made an evaluation… they just kept pushing expensive and unheard of supplements to me each time I went in.

Dr Aiello is a gifted doctor who nonetheless is unusually easy to communicate with, being an especially attentive listener. I’ve been seeing him for 5 years, and he has given me back an active life. I’ve had a number of sports related acute and chronic injuries that would not respond to conventional treatment, including surgeries that left me with pain. The platelet rich plasma is state-​of-​the-​art and really works. I tried it after reading of the success of this treatment with many famous professional and amateur athletes. Luckily, we have an expert right in San Diego County!

Dr. Aiello has been our family doctor for 14 years. He cares. He listens. His staff is attentive and friendly. When my issues became more specific, he referred me to Dr. Martinez in the same office. She has gone above and beyond all measures to diagnose and treat my difficult issues. I appreciate that they both prefer natural remedies. Highly recommended!

This office sucks. Billed my insurance incorrectly (for a covered service), cancelled my appointment without telling me (after I drove 45 min to get there) and then refused to resolve the problem. Do NOT go here for Lymphedema. The therapist is great, but the office sucks.
