Jerry M Fabrikant, DPM

I had a very good experience with Dr. Jerry M Fabrikant. First, his staff was very helpful, friendly and kind. And when I met Dr. Fabrikant this week, he was friendly, kind and gentle.
I had a splinter in my right foot that had been there for months because I was unable to get out. A callous had grown over it. Dr. Fabrikant was able to remove the callous and splinter very, very gently and it was all done painlessly. There was absolutely NO pain involved. I appreciated that and I enjoyed his humor too.

Dr. Fabrikant:
I am contacting you to express my dismay regarding your arrogant, condescending, dismissive demeanor during my past few appointments with you – an anomaly to
my relationships with many other fine physicians.
I’m aware and intelligent enough to infer how my approach and style appeared to you, and to discern the relevance of my medical needs and concerns. If you had
exercised the respect and tolerance to have allowed me to move past 20 seconds
of dialogue– sans censorship or judgmental jumping of the gun– you would have
understood how germane Hanger’s stressful methodology, causing its practitioners
to cut corners and/​or circumvent the system, might further compromise my receiving adequate turnover of orthopedic supplies. This was not «philosophy» as assumed,
but rather facts taken into my confidence.
Ultimately, per my insistence, your proposal for «bulk ordering» satisfactorily addressed my concerns and sensitivity to Mark’s plight, creating a win-​win situation. I fully understand your time restraints, but feel you prematurely over-​react
while reducing me to shallow, volatile emotion – ” histrionic” by definition. This was
a reckless, unprofessional remark, for which your arrogant, snippy nature would not apologize.
This is utterly unacceptable to me, and does not engender a safe environment
within which to self express in an already intimidating, anxious context. As a physician, you should know this, particularly in the early stages of developing
a doctor-​patient relationship. Empathic listening is 90% of effective practice. Your
average non-​critical thinking patient who quietly submits, is ideal for your modus
operandi /​archaic medical mentality. I am more than a rushed electronic medical record!
I am regarded as an exceptional, proactive, insightful patient. I have come a
long way in overcoming various medical challenges, against all odds. I am
positive by nature, but like most, do not take well to demeaning tones.

Dr. Fabrikant saw me for toe nail fungus in 8 of my toes more than a year ago. He first started me on Biotin and MSM for which he has seen good results. After several months on a check-​up he advised that he had reviewed literature for Jublia and it showed promising results. His office staff worked with me to get the prescription and after 6 months or so my toe nail fungus has reduced significantly and I would anticipate in another 6 months my toe nails will be fungus free. I find his manner friendly and to the point with a bit of humor — in other words his bed side manner is pleasing.
Previously my wife had burning in her feet and her general physician was ready to prescribe a neuropathic medicine. Dr. Fabrikant saw her and diagnosed her as having a very high arch which needs support. He first tried a low cost orthotic and after a a period of time my wife and he agreed that she needed a orthotic costing approximately $ 500. Her discomfort has been alleviated and she is a happy patient.
From our experience I would highly recommend Dr. Fabrikant. Not fancy but he gets the task accomplished — what more do we want as a patient. I might also add that his office staff are efficient and friendly.

I went to see Dr. Fabrikant for a recurring issue with an ingrown toenail. I didn’t need to wait long for an appointment and the staff was friendly and efficient when I arrived.
Dr. Fabrikant’s manner was friendly and compassionate with just the right dash of good humor. He recommended, and performed, a minor surgical procedure as this issue had been requiring treatment by my previous doc for more than a year. His treatment was quick and far less painful than the ones I had been having every other month elsewhere.
I have now seen him for a followup visit. All is going well and I am so grateful.
I would not hesitate to recommend him. He is informative and comforting and effective.
Who could ask for more.

The first time I saw Dr Fabrikant I had been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis by two Drs. I was in a lot of pain and I had done everything the Drs had advised me to do (ice, stretching etc). I tried a third dr since I wasn’t getting better. Dr Fab did an ultrasound on my heal and told me I had a bone spur in my heel. I had surgery and was pain free. I just had surgery for another bone spur on my other foot and am on my way to being pain free again.
I highly recommend Dr Fabrikant!

It was an in-​grown toe-​nail that caused me to seek out help from a doctor. Not life-​threatening but it sure hurt and was traumatic to me. Dr. Fabrikant’s office made an immediate appointment for me, which was a relief. Their website contained the «new patient» forms I would need and I was even able to fax these over before ever going to the office. On arrival I signed in and was greeted warmly by the staff. I was barely a few pages into a ‘People’ magazine when I was taken back by the medical assistant, who was kind and professional. I’d been in doctor’s offices before so I knew to take my magazine with me for the waiting game but I didn’t need it! Dr. Fabrikant came in immediately and performed his examination. I was going to need a minor surgical-​like procedure, which was done in the office right then and there. The doctor explained exactly what he was going to do and what I should expect. There was very little pain and I felt immediate relief from the in-​grown toenail symptoms. I was asked to return in a week for a follow-​up, which I did, and I encountered all the same professionalism and quick treatment (without that feeling of being rushed in and rushed out). Thank you Dr. Fabrikant and staff.

I went to go see the the Dr Fabrikant a issue with my foot. I found Dr Fabrikant through a providers list. I an glad I made the appointment. Most doctor want to give you a lot of pills and just make a lot of appointment for you. Well not Dr Fabrikant. He heard what my problem was look at my foot and the x-​rays and then talk to me about what the course of treatment is to help my foot out. Now I can walk again with out help. And the best then of all I ride also. I would send all of my friends to see him that would have any foot issue at all.

The review I wrote previously was for the office, not a reflection on Dr. FABRIKANT as a doctor. The review stands.
Some of the information posted in response to my review needs to be checked for facts.
I am sure the office will have other reviews with a higher rating, however this is Unilocal and bad reviews do happen.

I first met with Dr Fabrikant about 2 months ago. I basically had myself diagnosed when I arrived after years of foot pain. I was told inserts were where we would start and told I needed to pay 50 $ for said inserts. I was also told my insurance was accepted. I had a few more visits, each time asking if anything had been received from my INS. Each time the anwser was no. Had an appt again, arrived on time and was told I didn’t have insurance and handed a pack of paperwork and told I needed to call my INS company. Also told they would not be able to see me that day or again until I could verify my insurance.

Jerry Fabrikant would have receive one star, i.e. zero stars except that he performed a thorough examination. Wanting a second opinion after another doctor’s treatment plan, I found Dr Fabrikant through a providers list and then searched for reviews. Nothing negative came up so I made an appointment.
Let me just say he is the most belligerent, snippy and unprofessional little a-​hole of a doctor I have ever encountered. A person that I couldn’t decide if I wanted to smack the crap out of him or just walk out of the office. The receptionist and LVN were not personable in the least and I’m wondering if it’s due to a hostile work environment created by the little prick. The receptionist assured me that my medical records would be transfered over for review, and that’s only because I prompted her first. No surprise they weren’t sent, so good thing I brought the radiologist’s report myself.
Exam rooms had broken handles on cabinet doors, old medical posters – some hung sideways, ancient equipment and an otherwise unkempt look. There are better podiatrists in town that act professionally. My advice is to avoid this doctor altogether, unless you like being verbally abused.

My visit with Dr. Fabrikant was due to my visits to the local nail shop… I came in thinking he would prescribe some medication that would harm my liver… instead he advised me to take vitiamins! VITAMINS??? how was that supposed to help??? he said just take them and see me in 3 months… 2 months later I saw results, 3 months later more results… Im now at month 4 and my nails are looking amazing and just in time for summer. I would highly recommend Dr. Fabrikant… He was able to save my liver and most importantly my toe nails!!! THANK YOU!!!

I had stubbed my toe over a year ago and my foot has never been the same since. I finally broke down and went to the doctor. As soon as Dr. Fabrikant saw my foot he knew exactly what was wrong before even seeing the x-​rays which confirmed his initial diagnosis. He explained my options, i chose to have surgery which was scheduled quickly and am getting better every day. Office visits are quick and painless with a friendly office staff. I defintely made the right choice going here and would recommend him to anyone.
