Description

Specialties

Bolt Brewery offers a variety of fantastic craft brews, all made on site by San Diego Counties first commercial craft brewer. Nestled in the industrial area of La Mesa, Bolt is a hidden jewel.

Family friendly during the day and thru the week. We offer games and a relaxing environment to have a beer and enjoy some time with your family.

Evenings at Bolt (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) turn into an adults only venue after 7 pm with live music and food vendors for a great date night.

Bolt is dog friendly, as long as they are on a leash.

History

Established in 1987.

Bolt Brewery was originally founded in 1987 in Fallbrook. Bolt’s current brewer Clint Stromberg was a part of the original Bolt Brewery in Fallbrook and was the first commercial brewer in San Diego after prohibition.

Clint’s specialties range from Pilsner to IPA. Bolt offers a wide range of brews to satisfy the hop lovers as well as those who love the maltier brews.

Meet the Business Owner

Molly R.

Business Owner

The owners of Bolt all take an active part in running the business.

Meet Tony. Tony is all business when it comes to Bolt. Currently Tony is building our Little Italy location that will open in June. You can find Tony at the La Mesa location on Tuesday nights. Tony is over the top friendly and will do all he can to insure the customer has a fantastic experience.

Meet Clint. Clint is the brewer. With a vast knowledge of the brewing business, you can find Clint in La Mesa brewing the beer on any given day. He is a master brewer and a pretty darn nice guy, and is happy to share the history of Bolt and his experience of the brew process with anyone who is interested.

Meet Molly. That’s me! I handle the day to day management and accounting for Bolt. You can find me behind the bar serving up our brew several days a week. I am always happy to hear what our customers have to say.
