History

Established in 1992.

I started in my family’s Real Estate business in 1992 in Brockton, Massachusetts. I was the top producer from 1992 – 1996 at Frank Middleton Real Estate. In 1996 I moved to San Diego and joined RE/​MAX Associates. From 1996 – 2005 I was with RE/​MAX where I ended up having the #2 Real Estate Team in California/​Hawaii and the #24 team in the world for RE/​MAX out of 110,000 agents. In 2005 I opened a Keller Williams Franchise in La Jolla and was the #6 team in the world for Keller Williams.

In 2009 I left Keller Williams to create Middleton & Associates a boutique Real Estate firm located in La Jolla, CA.

After building our boutique company to 35 agents an 2 offices, we sold the company to NRT Realogy on June 30th, 2014. Our company is now Coldwell Banker Previews International.

Our team has sold over 3200 hundred homes in the last 22 years and our focus has always been with the philosophy of treating our clients the way that we would like to be treated.

Peter Middleton grew up in a real estate family based in Brockton Massachusetts, 20 miles south of Boston. While working in the family business, Peter learned valuable Real Estate knowledge.

Peter moved to San Diego in the early 90’s and worked with RE/​MAX associates until 2005. After receiving a number of awards and recognitions, including being the #1 sales person in the company, he established his own brokerage, Middleton & Associates.

Middleton & Associates made a name for itself by quickly becoming one of the top five La Jolla brokerages since opening in 2010. In 2013, the brokerage completed 188 transactions totaling over $ 120 million in sales volume.

In 2014, Coldwell Banker acquired the assets of Middleton & Associates and welcomed Middleton’s agents into their brokerage. The merging of these two brokerages will have a significant impact on La Jolla’s elite real estate market.

I have tried without success to get Pete’s office to stop sending me junk mail flyers about real estate. His rude secretary was no help and told me that I was the one who had to go to the post office and stop this.
I will never do business with a person like this; he clearly does not have the interests of property owners at heart. To people this this, you are just a target with a $ sign on it.

Pete and his team are top notch. Pete helped my husband and I sell our condo in Baypark and purchase a new home in Point Loma. He is honest, well versed with the market and knows how to get things done.
Pete and his team sold my condo in 30 days and there are 3 other condos in my neighborhood that had been for sale for 90 days plus… they still have not sold. He knows how to market properties so they sell in a timely manor at a fair price.
When purchasing out new home he helped negotiate a fair price and gave us his honest opinion on which property had the most potential for future resale value.
Highly recommend need I say more.

I work in Beverly Hills as a financial advisor, and I had a situation where a client, an elderly woman who had recently lost her husband and was looking to sell her home in La Jolla. It was a hard decision as she had lived in the home for more than 40 years and unfortunately the home was in need of a lot of expensive repairs to make it more presentable. We were referred to many agents but one really stood out from the others, Peter Middleton. I introduced Peter to my client and her family to assist in the process of selling her home.
Peter advised us instead of putting money into the home, that he would market it to real estate contractors as a «fixer-​upper» and suggested a listing price that we were very comfortable with. Within a few weeks, Peter presented us with several offers which created a bidding situation where we ended up getting more money than we had anticipated. Although there were several bumps in the road, Peter was on top of everything so I did not have to be which is very rare for me, especially when it comes to my clients as I often micro-​manage everything. We ended up closing on the property and my client was able to move into a new home next to her family in LA and is very happy.
It is nice when a client calls me and says «I want to thank you so much for having Peter Middleton help me. He did a fantastic job from the beginning to the end». I don’t hear that stuff a lot in my world.
