By using a dynamic approach to each patient visit, Dr. Eckman takes into consideration four bases that contribute to assisting the body towards healing. Structural problems are assessed using Applied Kinesiology and addressed through Chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue treatments. Biochemistry is addressed though nutritional supplementation and the latest cutting edge lab-​testing used by Functional Medicine practitioners. Neuro-​emotional technique is used to pin-​point subconscious mental blocks that can contribute to recurring issues throughout the body. Toxicity will be addressed by homeopathic remedies and minimizing your exposure for harmful chemicals.

History

Established in 2013.

Dr. Erika Eckman began practicing Chiropractic in the State of California in June of 2013.

She earned the Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Logan College of Chiropractic, one of the tops schools of chiropractic in the world. She practices using Applied Kinesiology, Neuroemotional Technique and Myofascial Release Soft tissue Therapy.

Dr. Erika Eckman is a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. Before earning the doctorate of Chiropractic degree she earned a Bachelors of Science with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry from Henderson State University. While in attendance she studied abroad in Panama, Belize and Guatemaula. Dr. Eckman lives in La Jolla, and enjoys staying active around the ocean and mountains.

I’ve been to several chiropractors, but Dr. Erika has been by far the most effective.
Some chiropractors give one or two adjustments in 5 — 10 minute appointments. But appointments with Dr. Erika are 30 minutes long. She is much more thorough than other chiropractors I have been to. She has many different ways to check for alignment imbalances from your head to feet. She also uses muscle checking (aka applied kinesiology) which is a fantastic tool that some chiropractors use. It helps to identify misalignments and also the best way to correct the problems.
I went to Dr. Erika for some headache problems and she helped greatly whereas the two chiropractors I saw before her helped minimally. Also from seeing Dr. Erika, she has helped fix some knee and hip pain I’d been having for over 15 years. Pretty much I had put those issues on the back burner, but a positive side effect of Dr. Erika’s thorough sessions has helped those issues and they feel so much better now.
For these reasons, I would guess that Dr. Erika is one of the best chiropractors in San Diego. She is a gem.

I purchased a deal through Deal Me In. I was curious about the Neuro Lymphatic Release Therapy w/​Healing Active Release Treatment (ART). I had 2 accidents & had been getting massages & chiropractic treatments which seem to be temporary. Dr. Eckman did an impressive job releasing the damaged soft tissue in areas of my collar bone & back. She concluded my SI joint was constantly misaligned due to my breathing & movements w/​my diaphragms. She explains in detail the treatment as she’s doing it. I was impressed that she used ART rather the typical chiropractic adjustment. I felt fine when I left the office but as the evening went on, I started feeling achy on the areas she worked on. She recommends using damp heat on the areas. I didn’t have the chance but I plan on doing an epson salt bath to alleviate the aches since she worked on a lot of areas. If you have chronic issues that are not keeping your body aligned, I recommend checking Dr. Eckman out and see for yourself. I look forward to my up coming treatments in correcting my issues rather keeping it chronic.

Erika is absolutely the best! She is not only professional but friendly and makes you feel like you’re in the best hands in the business… Literally! I feel healthier than ever and am able to work longer hours on my feet as a hairstylist which is very important in order to be successful in my career. Thanks Erika, I will definitely be back again, and again!

I travel a lot and always have issues with my back. I used to go to a normal chiropractor that just does a quick adjustment your back and sends you away. Erika takes the time to figure out what is really going on in your body and applies her treatments accordingly. I have seen major improvements since I started seeing her. I would highly recommend going seeing her!
