Bottom line up front. I would strongly recommend NOT working with Chad. It was an unpleasant experience.
A friend referred me to Chad, who in turn referred me to someone else because Chad thought his referral best for the VA loan that I was looking for. I worked with that mortgage broker for about a month but lost confidence in that loan broker when he was wrong three times about the particulars of using the VA loan. At that point, I considered working with another mortgage broker.
Re-​enter Chad, who attempted to persuade me to work with him instead of his referral. I told him that I would let him know whether I would continue working with him and his referral. Ultimately, I chose not to work with Chad because he lacked as much expertise with VA loans as I was looking for and expertise on VA loans was the criteria I was using to select who I worked with. Not to my own credit, I failed to let Chad know this within the timeframe I had told him.
Chad ended up angrily (drunkenly?) texting me at 1 am at night on Valentine’s Day about the fact that I had not called him back and presumably was choosing not to work with him. (For obvious reasons, this was not a great time.) Rather than accept my choice professionally, he accused me of lacking integrity and implied I was a scumbag. He also wrote that «It is readily apparent that you will be a complete failure in the real estate world considering your incompetence, know it all attitude and unwillingness to listen to anyone’s advice.»
For obvious reasons, my experience working with Chad was unpleasant. The sad thing is that before the texts I might have considered working with Chad on a non-​VA loan; I just wasn’t comfortable with his expertise when it came to VA loans. He also threatened to sue me over this review, so there’s that to consider as well for anyone considering working with Chad.

I went to Chad after problems (appraisal) with my first lender. About 10 days into a 30 day escrow, Chad came in not knowing anything about me or this purchase and has been a life saver.
