Ana is an artist. I have been to many curly hair specialists so I am qualified to say this. She knows what she is doing and can make over your curls to perfection. You would be crazy to go someplace else to maintain your locks.

After just moving to the area, I was desperate for a good haircut. I have very curly hair and wanted someone who specialized in cutting curly hair. After several unsatisfying Unilocal searches, I turned to the Ouidad website to direct me to a Ouidad trained stylist. I was directed to Salon Envie where I saw Ana Nelson. I told her what I wanted, and voila, she did a beautiful job cutting and shaping up my hair. This curly girl is grateful to have found Ana, and I will be returning. And parking is nowhere near as bad as I was expecting after reading the reviews. I parked 1 block away in residential parking with no problem…

Salon Envie is the lucky location of the very best hair stylist in all of San Diego. Ana has been working on my hair for years, bringing order to the chaos, offering answers to my beauty woes, finding solutions for the frizzy wig.
She’s a coloring genius and gifted with scissors, knows how to work the extensions, and best of all, is totally affordable despite her La Jolla-fab location.
She does both men and women… probably kids, too. LOVE HER.
