I recently bought a 1995 Dodge 3500 Cummins with an auto transmission. It was shifting irregularly. A friend told me about Overbeys and I’m glad he did. I had 2 other transmission shops test drive and run their diagnostic tests to try and find the problem before going to Overbeys. Each shop suggested pulling the transmission apart to find the issue because it could be any number of things. Price to fix would range from $ 1500 – 3000. Overbeys fixed my issue with a throttle pressure adjustment. Charged me $ 85! I was ready to spend thousands.

It’s all about economics. My little car is my pre owned gem at a time when I can’t be in car pmts. The transmission started lurching right after the holidays. Two mechanics later — each of whom said get rid of the car the transmission was bad– I found Overbey! 1^st impressions are everything and Charlie made my day. He was caring, listened, gave me some suggestions. On my follow call, Charlie was sincerely gracious when the suggestions didn’t pan out with the dealer. We decided to tow the car in and have it go through the diagnostics. In short, not only was the transmission just fine but the overall cost was in my budget! Solenoid was the culprit not the transmission! Really, I went from panic to thanking Charlie for the absolutely incredible service. I finally met Charlie in person when I picked up my car; he was even nicer in person. Never one moment was there anything but his undivided attention and genuine concern that Overbey had done all they could. Again, super happy to be back on the road and my transmission is working even better then before the solenoid went out. Thank you Overbey for the excellent service from beginning to end. Truly grateful.

SAVED MY 1967 Mustang~ that has low mileage & an original transmission complete with leaks. With several areas throughout transmission updated, I NO LONGER HAVE LEAKS from transmission. One part used in repairs was «out-​of-​round» from distributor, leaving a loud noise that was not right. They instantly found the problem, replaced part FROM A DIFFERENT DISTRIBUTOR (as to not duplicate the problem). This is what also impressed me. How professional and intuitive. Now all is as stock as in 1967! Thank you OVERBEY (also highly recommended by Ron & Waynes of Brea).

I took my 10 year old 2005 Tahoe here cause I was overheating on my way to work. Charlie was so helpful and knowledgable! I would never take my vehicle anywhere else! I highly recommend this shop to all family, friends and strangers. They truly are the most honest and trust worthy mechanics I have ever come across in my 25 years of being a licensed driver. They were so accommodating and quick. Charlie was very communicative and actually helps you understand what’s being done! They will have my business forever (or as long as I have vehicles)!

We dropped our van off here on Friday night. The guy waited for us and the tow truck to get there even though they were already closed. Very cool! He seemed great! We tend to give people the benefit of the doubt and trust them until they give us a reason not to. We are looking forward to seeing how it goes next week and the stars will go up or down depending. Oh… and there is an In-​N-​Out next door!

Excellent service. Had two vehicles serviced there in the last month. Charlie took great care of us. He and his team not only replaced my tranny in my Scion but also fixed a low voltage problem in my F350 diesel. All with no outrageous and unnecessary charges. Will recommend them to all.

I took my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 here to have them take a look at my transmission. I cannot even begin to express how awesome Scott, Charlie and Chris are. I have been screwed over before when it comes to repairs to my vehicle so I was a little nervous. Scott and Charlie were so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure that any fear I had was dealt with. They even had me come down to the shop to look at my transmission before they put it back together. When I picked it up, they had me road test it before I left, just to make sure that I was comfortable with all of the work they did. They did awesome work and the price was reasonable. I didn’t think my truck was supposed to drive as smooth as it does now!

I took my classic Ford in for a torque converter swap. I knew it was bad and gave them the parts to install. It was going to be $ 300. Of course they said my then well working transmission was ready to go and needed a complete rebuild. A month later and $ 2,000 in parts and labor I got my car back! I had to bring the car back several times for leaks and other problems. I’m still having issues but wouldn’t go back on a bet. They made several mistakes along the way like over filing it, damaging the dip stick and the work was shoddy. They beat my headers to death, cut off my exhaust pipes rather than just unbolt them, the shifter still isn’t right and they used silicon to fix their leaks! Won’t recommend! The shop was clean. ;-)

I bought a used Jeep that needed new axle gears and had other issues. Scotty initially helped me with the gears, and they did a great job. I knew the transmission also had some problems, and ultimately I had to have it rebuilt. But, Scotty did a great job, kept me informed, and ultimately I got a quality job done and I haven’t had any issues. My son will be going to Overbey Transmission next week to have his axle gears changed to account for the larger tires he recently bought. Have had Overbey previously work on a Ford pickup and was very pleased with their work.

There’s nothing worse than car problems. Thankfully I have found a mechanics shop I can trust in Overbey’s Transmission. They do any kind of work on any type of car. You know you will get an honest and competitive quote from them. They’re work is also quick and reliable. I’ll never go anywhere else. Ask for Charlie and he’ll take care of you.

Hands down to Charlie at Overbey Transmissions. He is by far the most trustworthy and honest guy I know. He truly looks out for you and your cars best interest. Charlie went above and beyond to help me with my car and saved me literally over a thousand dollars. 5 stars is not enough! So glad I have a place to go where I know I won’t be up sold or taken advantage. I would highly recommend this place for any of your car repairs. They do more than transmissions, mine was a smog issue… but not anymore Thanks to Charlie!

I love to find businesses that do what they say they are going to do and do it when they say that they are going to do it. This group was timely, fair and friendly. I was definately impressed and it only cost me a couple of hundred dollars.

Watch out, they will drop your tranny and then tell you you need a new one for 2400.00 or an rebuilt one they won’t stand behind for 2000.00! Beware

Clutch and flywheel replacement at good prices

Good place to take your car for transmission issues. I kept getting the Check Engine Light and got the trouble codes. They were able to pinpoint the problem. I actually paid a few hundred dollars LESS than my initial estimate.
However, you guys might want to re think promoting Hertz as your go to rental car place. That place is a nightmare.

These guys are great. They came highly recommended from my main mechanic for my Boxster S. Had a leak coming from the tyranny where the linkage enters the case. About a week and a half turnaround time on short notice. They charged me a very appropriate price and even asked if I would like to replace the throw out bearing as a preventative measure. Clutch was nearly new, so I did. I got a little paranoid a few months later about some slack in my shifter and they did some measurments and let me know it was fine and even coordinated with my shop to make sure they both agreed. Great level of customer service from both Joe and Scotty. Definitely the only shop I’ve found to be trustworthy with my Porsche. Thanks guys!
