Went into this place to browse and add to my collection. I am completely new to coin collecting and have a ton of questions, this was not the place for that. The man that was there obviously had zero customer service/​patience. He was arrogant and condicending. Whittier coins will definitely have my business in the future!

Bob is down to earth, helpful, and willing to work with a customer to educate them so they select product appropriate for their requirements. He demonstrated such patience with me and with several others who I observed coming through his doors. This operation is a community treasure.

SERIOSLY THE WORST OLD BELLIGERENT MAN BEHIND THE COUNTER*
I walk in to buy some gold along with my sister,
We ask if he has 1 oz rounds or small bars for sale, and the old man responds…
«Are you guys actually going to buy today? because the gold is locked up in a safe and I don’t want to walk over there to get it if you’re just browsing.»
I MEAN, WHAT THE HELL !!! did he really just ask that? yes he did !!!
we left his store shocked and dumbfounded (what the old man didn’t know is that we had cash in hand to buy several pieces that day). he seemed with out a doubt racist and stereotyped our Mexican beauty.
MY VINDICATION:
On the way home I decided to call the BBB and file a complaint and I called the Old man and informed him I had filed a verbal complaint with the BBB for racial profiling and bad business practice, he seemed very unfazed and said «You can do want you want to» but no apology.

This place is a total rip off… I took a 14k bracelet and a gold ring. They told me the bracelet was not worth anything and offered me $ 60 bucks. Then started to nickel and dime me on the ring. I asked them for a minute to think about the offer. Then the older gentleman said «hurry up, we don’t have time to wait for you. If you don’t like my offer leave the store. We want to go home!!!». What a rude ass!!!
I went to AAA gold exchange in Whittier they paid me $ 154.00 for the bracelet and they were very friendly… Stay away from this place!!!

Walked in there cuz I had $ 200 I was willing to spend on a 10 oz silver bar. Never been here before even though I’ve passed it hundreds of times in the past. Saw three people counting or sorting or cataloging stuff: two ladies and a man. I said «Hi.» The ladies didn’t even respond to me. The guy stood up and said in a very insensitive tone «Can I help you?» I said «Yes I’d like to buy a silver bar today. 10 ounces please.» The man exhaled like I irritated him and said «Come back when you have $ 1,500 to spend.» Then he started walking back to his seat between the two women behind the counter. I said «Excuse me?» He turned around before sitting and said «You spend $ 1,500 dollars or more, the silver is tax free.» I said, «Oh… Okay… Well I might just do that. Thanks.» Then turned around and headed out. He didn’t even thank me back for coming or say «you’re welcome» like I wasted his time. My god are they racist cuz I’m asian or judgmental cuz I’m under 30 or both or what? They were white and the man had gray hair, glasses, and a mustache. What jerks. Racist or not, they’re clearly greedy and need to remember they own a business, not the f*cking world! Customer service is everything with any kind of retail. Even if I had $ 1,500 right now, I sure as hell wouldn’t give it to them! Jerks.

Gold-​n-​coins is a very respectable company and have excellent customer service. I’ve always done business with them and have absolutely no plans of going anywhere else. Bob, Elliot, Jim, «O’, and the ever enchanting Dora, are always on hand to honestly answer any inquiry you may have. there’s a reason they’ve been in business for so long! these are our go to guys!

They are the worst people I have ever seen in my life, I don’t know how they run their business with this rudness, I went with my father to buy a golden bar but they had the worst attitude ever, so we decided to buy from a respectful people not trashy like them
