Eugene is a genius! I brought in my great grandmother’s antique standing lamp with an etched glass pole… it was sad looking when I brought it in but I knew that it would be worth saving… when I got the lamp back I had such tears of joy! The lamp got a new beautiful glass shade that matched the marble base. The base I brought in with the lamp was missing a foot and wouldn’t balance… when he suggested a new base I was really worried that it would not have the same antique charm… wrong…Eugene found a stunning base that matched the lamp beautifully and I was able to keep the marble that went with the original
. I can’t say enough about his eye for beauty… my only complaint was that I had to wait a while to get it back, but it truly was worth the wait… thanks Eugene… I can’t wait to see what you do with the next old lamp I bring in for repair… a very satisfied customer!

Eugene handled my lamp repair needs perfectly. I needed two touch lamps rewired for an antique vanity. The job was completed in two weeks and everything works great. I recommend his work to all.

Had an old Stiffel lamp I was reluctant to part with, even though I had already replaced it with a new one in my living room. I brought it here last week, I was given a very good price to repair it, and it was to be ready the next day. I returned yesterday, the lamp was ready, and I bought another one, at a REALLY good price! Very happy.

Took lamp in for a repair on Thursday, then Saturday i called and he said ‘he’d look at it and call me’. Next Thursday i went to his shop. He asked what i wanted to do, i said ‘take it somewhere to get repaired’. He then said it couldn’t be repaired. Simply ‘voltage converter repair’…His communications skills are very ‘poor’. Took it to McNally’s in Los Alamitos, CA… Look at the difference in shop appearances, ‘night and day’. And the service WOW. Go to McNally’s and save your time.

Absolutely perfect repair. They are experts, believe me.
And they are thoughtful about the repairs.
Great business owners, not fast, but friendly and good prices.

My Floor lamp from Anthropology with
Glass Crystal center pole broke completely off the base in addition, several of the glass crystals broke. I was deciding to repair or not. Decided to get a price.
The lamp repair company I have used in the past was out of business. I checked on Unilocal & found Expert Lamp Repair
They are Experts!!!
They found similar glass crystals & used them on the bottom of the Lamp pole.
Unless you really look no one would notice the difference. Plus attached the pole back to the base… the lamp is just like new… They are Amazing Thank you to Expert Lamp

This place is great and like the other reviewer Ryan C. said, they are able to work miracles and the staff are such nice people. They care and know exactly what they are doing.

I took a table lamp that our pet bunny had chewed and they did a great job in repairing it at a very reasonable rate. The staff is very friendsly and I will highly recoomed this place to my family and friends and come back.

Broke my roommates expensive floor lamp and thought for sure I was going to have to drop some serious money to replace it. Did some research and found this gem of a business. The name says it all. How they fixed this touch sense lamp I will never know. But I’m not asking any questions, just thankful they are able to work miracles. Was definitely worth the 60 mile round trip.

I had a nice Tiffany lamp that needed repair. It would have cost at least twice as much to buy another lamp of the same quality. I bit the bullet and did the repair. It was done within a decent time frame and the quality of the repair was excellent. The price was not what I would consider cheap… but you get what you pay for and it’s also very hard to find specialty shops that will do specialized lamp repair. I wouldn’t hesitate to utilize the service of this business again.

I can’t say enough about the excellent work they do. I had a horrible experience with Kona Lighting. They had my Tiffany style hanging lamp from June to mid November and did not touch it. In frustration I took it to Expert. It was ready in a little over 2 weeks. There was glass that needed to be replaced as well as electrical work. It is beautiful. you would never know it had been repaired. I would encourage everyone to go there. It’s worth it.

Eugene does not know how to run a business. I brought in a lamp to get fixed. A dimmer switch needed to be fixed. Not a big job. I brought it in on Sat. Eugene said it will be ready on Weds. Nope. So I came by on the following Sat. Nope. In fact he said he was busy and hadn’t gotten around to it. He said this with a smile. i am glad he is smiling and enjoying wasting my time. I am not in a huge hurry so I decide to give him one more week. Since Saturday is the only time I can make it back. So another week goes by to fix a dimmer switch. Two weeks. I come by to pick up my fixed lamp that Eugene has had two weeks to fix. Nope. Hasn’t even looked at it. Eugene says he has been kinda busy. Are you serious? You tell your customer it will be done on a date and you never look at it for two weeks on an easy fix. Unbelievable. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR REPAIR DONE. EUGENE IS TOO BUSY TO TAKE CARE OF CUSTOMERS.

They are excellent! Great customer service, affordable prices and an interesting selection of antique lamps for sale as well. They are quick too– you will not have to wait weeks or months for a repair. Highly, highly recommended. I have used them several times with 100% satisfaction.
I had sockets replaced on two lamps and also power cords replaced on two lamps and both repairs took under 2 days flat to finish from when I brought in the lamps.
I wish they took credit or debit cards, but I overlook having to pay with cash or check because they are that good. =)

I brought in an antique Maria Theresa chandelier & Expert Lamp fixed it in the time they quoted me. The price was also very reasonable. I will be back with all my vintage lighting here to be worked on!

Terrible service. I dropped off a lamp for repair. After 12 days I still did not have an estimate or even a return phone call. I went back and picked it up. I don’t recommend you use them unless you don’t care when you get it back.

In attempting to restore a large old brass light fixture, I lost a rod and could not re-​assemble the fixture. Not optimistic about being able to find another, I called Expert Lamp and spoke to Eugene. He assured me he would have a good shot at repairing it. I immediately went to the store and was met by Carl who eagerly asked «What have you got there?» After explaining my predicament, he called Eugene over and they made a quick appraisal of the size and type part needed. In short order, they were able to find a part that would work. They also pointed out a re-​assembly error I had made. It has been ages since I have encountered a business so eager to help and so efficient. They seem to really enjoy their work. They are very deserving of any business this review might bring to them.

Carl and his brother, plus all their staff are amazing people. After Kona Lighting pulled a fast one on my parents for their chandelier — never repairing it in the entire YEAR they had it, then trying to SELL it, still unrepaired — my parents brought it to Carl and he had it fixed up right away. Without all the drilling and such that Kona insisted it needed.
Since then we’ve been bringing all our lamps there. I bought two antique boudoir lamps I got at The Salvation Army there — the previous owners had cut the old cloth covered cords to attach modern ones, though keeping the old plugs, in a manner I felt was unsafe. Carl put new cords, also keeping the old plugs, that match a lot better. He’s fixed up lamps so my mom, who has horrible arthritis, can turn them on easily.
He’s also quick to send us to great people he trusts for other things. Such as antique furniture repair — he’ll even store the stuff for us so we don’t have to drive all the way up from Costa Mesa to someone else’s shop farther away.
The rest of the staff is also extremely helpful, polite, and knowledgeable.
I don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else for lamp repair. Unless they lived in a different state, or planet.

Offered to drop off the part I need to a store near me, where he regularly makes deliveries, so I would not have to drive 20 miles. What a nice guy.
