County Line Animal Hospital

I really just don’t have enough good things to say about this vet. I called tonight about ten min before they closed (on a Sun) and Dr Dempsey answered and was just so friendly (after I’m sure she had a long day) and was able to answer my questions. She calls every week to check on my Lily, who she sees every few weeks due to some chronic health issues. Not only have I been able to give Lily a better quality of life this past year under Dr Dempsy’s care, it’s just so nice to have them feel like family. Dr Mozzi is always wonderful, and Dr Dempsey is just as sweet as can be! I don’t have kids and my pup is my baby, so it’s great to have your vet go above and beyond. I’ll never go anywhere else.

First time visiting and was extremely satisfied! My toy poodle was attacked by a raccoon. The staff is so friendly and comforting. Doctors are wonderful! Very gentle, they took excellent care of our Ginger!!! It’s very clean and prices are reasonable. I’m so relieved I’ve found an excellent Vet clinic I can trust!

First time here. Our kitten, Figaro, had a freak accident. His bell on his collar somehow got clamped on his lip! Needless to say. Infection and fever took over.fast. After the ER, previous night, we took fig in to see Dr. Mazzi. He was very cool and took charge of the situation. Great, great guy… Fig is now home, doing great! Thanks girls in the ofc., and Dr. Mazzi!

I’ve been going here for years. Dr. Mazzi is amazing and took care of bonzai and Athena quickly. He always answers any questions I have and recommends good food and shots. I would recommend him to anyone who wants great pet care!

Expect great service from a dedicated, well-​educated and highly compassionate team of doctors, techs and office staff. We have been to several other veterinary clinics in the Whittier area and have found County line to be the most experienced, most professional and truly caring veterinary office around!
When one of our boxers became severely ill, not one of the clinics I was taking him to could figure out why he was sick. These places did not seem to take his pain or sickness seriously; they wanted to run expensive tests that were only producing negative results. Meanwhile our poor dog was suffering and getting sicker every week. After being referring by a family friend, I called Countyline for a 4^th opinion.
We brought in our sad sick dog and starting talking to Dr. Mazzi and within 10 minutes of the initial physical exam, we knew we were at the right place. Dr. Mazzi was treating our dog in the same manner and care that our human doctor treats us at his office. Yes, he had to run another test, but he also took a hands on approach of feeling and looking for issues and signs of illness. He was able to give an expert and experienced opinion and finally able to provide us with an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan upon our first visit. We were also impressed with the way he teaches his interns. Showing them his findings and what to look for, something we had not seen done at other offices.
I highly recommend County line to anyone looking to give their pet the absolute best care.

We’ve been taking our furry babies to County Line for about 16 years. They have always been compassionate and informative with their care. Dr. s Mazi and Dempsey have always been straightforward with us and have always put the needs of our pets above all else. Recently we took our 13 year old chihuahua in for a collapsing trachea. When we arrived she could barely breath, by the time we left she was breathing much easier. Dr. Mazi and tech Reggie showed true concern for our little Cocoa. I’m always impressed with how the staff remembers each of my pet’s history as we are discussing past medical issues. What I am so poorly trying to say is that County Line truly cares about all animals. I wish my doctor was so good.

I have never taken any of my
Pets to a vet before. Frankly, the vaccines were the only thing I worried about regarding my previous pets. Not until last year when I got a Bulldog did I need to go to the vet. The KCA recommended county line and boy was it the best choice for Milo. Ever since our first visit, the staff have taken care and taken a liking to Milo. I love their affordable Thursday vaccine specials and their attention to the many pets that walk through the door.
I definitely recommend them and though I’m not local, I’ll make the drive in order for Milo to be comfortable and well taken care of :)

We brought our Maltese here after she was bit by a neighbor dog. Very nice, professional place with a home, family feel. The front desk was phenomenally friendly and Dr. Dempsey was amazing! She gave us great care and explained all our options and was very caring to our pet. Even after we left the Dr called to check in with us. From now on I will be bringing all my pet to this Animal Hospital.

Recently moved to the area. We have been very happy with the service and boarding of our small dog. Highly recommended.

Had a poor experience at a different vet so we called this office at 3:30 on a Sunday and they close at 4. They told us to come in so we got here at 3:45. They got him in right away and treated him for his ear infection and we were out the door. Thank you!

The staff are always so caring and friendly! They have pets of their own and truly understand the emotions that pet owners go through when their animals are sick.

I have nothing but praise for the entire staff here. My family had the unfortunate turn of events where we lost 2 of our well loved dogs last year one in July and the other in November. The one was 12 yrs old and her baby was 11 yrs. old. She was sick and he just was heart broken without his mom. We still have a dog who gets their care and a new puppy who the entire office staff loves!
They are caring and the doctors (Dr. Mazzi, Dr. Dempsey and Dr. Lan) have no problem taking their time with be it in person or on the phone. They are very thorough and always explain what they are doing /​going to do.
I am grateful for this group of vets. I only transferred to them 2 years ago after going to the same vet for more than 20 years (distance was a problem for me) and I have NO reservations that they are giving my 2 dogs the best care they have to offer.

I have been coming here for two years… came for Dr. Mazzi but ended up seeing Dr Lopez then Dr Llamas and now Dr Mazzi… each doctor has been great and they are not the cheapest but worth the drive and little extra. I totally trust Dr Mazzi and his staff

I have been taking my pets to County Line for over thirty years. These are very caring vets and the staff is most competent. They are not the cheapest vets around, but they are the best.

Not too sure about this place. Brought my dog in for arthritis they said they needed to do blood work on him. Which makes sense. I chose them because the are open on Sunday’s and are right around the corner from me. They took him in a room and when he came out he had no bandage where they drew on him. At first I thought nothing of it. But then when it was time for me to get my results I called and called and called again. Finally when they returned my call they said the blood work looked great and they tried to sell me on acupuncture for him. They are extremely pricey and operate on appointments only. They are open on Sunday’s which comes in handy. They do have a patient portal, I did sign up but probably will not be going back since I don’t feel they actually did draw the blood my on dog. I have requested the results and have yet to get them.

Don’t waste your time! When you call and make the appointment they will tell you one thing, but once you take the time out of your day to get down there in 109 degree temperature and get to their office, they change their minds and say a whole another thing.
Made an appointment the day before to take my dog in for an updated bordetella vaccination, since my schedule wasn’t matching up with my usual vet office. When making the appointment the girl on the phone asked if she needed a physical and I stated no since she just had one with her usual vet the previous month. Then we set the appointment for the following day at 3:30.
Get to the office the next day and walk into the office with 3 people behind the front desk doing nothing except of chatting among themselves. They are pretty prompt to ask what I needed. Let them know I was there for an appointment for just the bordetella vaccination. The nurse, or at least she was dressed as one, stated that I would have to have my dog get a physical for them to preform the vaccination. I got angry and left office.
As soon as I walked out the door I was just so bothered by the fact that they said one thing over the phone to get you to come in, then say something totally different when you walk in the door. That I ended up going back inside and giving them a piece of my mind for wasting my time and having to bring my dog all the way out there on a hot day like that! So if you want to deal with a with a place that tells you one thing to get you to come in the office, but then tell you something else once you’re there, this is the place for you. For everyone else, don’t waste your time.

Dr mazzi is a sweet heart. There is another vet with black curly hair and she is not my favorite. I saw her tell off in front of many customers and employees one of the secretary’s in this awful mean tone over something stupid. I felt so bad for the girl. I know you’re a vet but I still believe in bed side manner because we are forking out big bucks for our best friends to get the best love and attention. And that’s why when I come here I always request dr. mazzi he’s a true animal lover and my babies love him back. They get five stars because most of the staff are very friendly and always willing to squeeze you in last minute.

They’re more on the expensive side but its so worth it! After going to 3 vets we found out she was wrongly diagnosed. She had a broken rib, how everyone else missed that, I don’t know. She also had pneumonia and ulcers! Unfortunately her age played a toll on her immune system and she passed away… but I’ve never been to a vet where the drs and nurses cry with you.
Anyone who goes here for the first time, get Dr Lopez or Dr mazzi.
Dr. Mazzi is actually highly allergic to animals, he takes medicine everyday to go to work and treat these animals. He takes in animals that are supposed to be put down and pours money into them to save them. He definitely cares about these animals not the money.
Dr Lopez is just very nice and caring. I don’t know much about her.
They have payment plans!
I’m currently 1,000 on mine lol they make you pay half down for the visit and the rest you can pay whenever.
Love this place and not going anywhere else ever. Get Dr mazzi or Lopez!

The good — the staff was friendly, the facility was clean and we were able to get an appointment last minute on a Sunday afternoon when we couldn’t see our preferred vet.
The not-​so-​good — they gave our puppy unnecessary medication and charged us for simple skin tests that our regular vet does for free. There were also five other tests they recommended that we declined doing immediately. Our regular vet said these were all unnecessary and overpriced.
