The Pillow and Paddock Bed & Breakfast is a casually elegant, country inn located approximately 25 miles from Louisville in Oldham County, Kentucky. The property is just a four-​minute drive from historic downtown La Grange near the equestrian community of L’Esprit, an area complete with picturesque rolling hills, lush pastures, beautiful estates and thoroughbred horse farms.

Whether seeking a brief escape from the rush of modern urban life or looking for a convenient, yet tranquil, place to stay during a major Louisville event (Kentucky Derby) the Pillow and Paddock offers exceptional accommodations, fabulous food, and unparalleled hospitality.

History

Established in 2011.

In 2008, while searching for just the right property to create their very own, very special bed and breakfast, the owners discovered a two-​year old family home for sale in La Grange, KY. It was perfect!

In 2009, when all the ink was dry, they began the extensive remodeling and decorating project which was to become The Pillow and Paddock. Since opening their doors in February 2011, every opportunity to enhance the Bed and Breakfast and it’s grounds for the comfort and enjoyment of guests has been undertaken.

A true labor of love, the end result is a dream come true!

Meet the Business Owner

Francesca and Don J.

Business Owner

Don and Francesca left their home in San Diego to create The Pillow and Paddock B and B, a life-​long dream of Francesca’s quickly embraced by Don following their marriage in 2004.

Francesca began her career in Hospitality as a restaurateur with her late husband and owned three very diverse and successful establishments in Colorado and Las Vegas.

After returning to California, she became the General Manager of a restaurant and winery in the Village of Carlsbad-​by-​the-​Sea. Two years later, she was appointed Special Events Director at the La Jolla Country Club.

During her tenure in La Jolla, she gained vast event planning experience and garnered many accolades for creating memorable member events and orchestrating spectacular weddings.

After a long career in the field of Information Technology and consulting, Don retired in September 2012 to join Francesca as a full-​time Innkeeper. Together, they delight in sharing their home with guests.
