First National Bank of LaGrange

Sad to say goodbye to this bank. This has been my bank for 18 years.
They have increased their fees and now charge for checking accounts unless you can maintain a large minimum balance at all times or your employer uses direct deposit.
As usual, the rich get richer and the poor are allowed to become poor. I have lost so much money to this bank, I want to scream. So sad and let down by their failure to think about what their fees due to those of us that are struggling, while rich folks have no such worries.
Sad day.

I have been a member of this bank since I was 7 years old and needed a place to keep my hard earned mountain of Washingtons from my paper route.
Not only are the people friendly and helpful, but their actual accounts are designed around their customer focus. Until I was 18 I was unable to overdraft (free service) which was great for someone learning how to keep track of money. When I studied abroad I had NO issues taking money out and wasn’t charged an arm or a leg to do so. When my purse was stolen with all my cards and checkbook inside they were quick to help out and nice enough to commiserate with me over a stolen Michael Kors bag. Now I’m set up with a checking account that is totally online (plus debit) and has free bill pay and transfers. Cool!
I am constantly hearing of people having issues with their banks… but since I bank at FNBLG I’ve literally never had a single problem. It’s like a parallel universe of banking. One where they actually know you by name and work with you in person to determine what best suits your needs.
What more could a girl want?

I have had a savings account here since I was born and a checking account since I got my first job.
I love the personalized service I receive here. The tellers know me and my family on a first name basis. The customer care here is outstanding. I can’t recommend them enough!
