Good place to go if you’re looking for quick teriyaki bowls or sushi. Its reasonable for the price and the sushi and bowls are tasty. I recommend the bulgogi bowl.

I used to live around the corner here, and came here quite often. Look at the dollar sign. $. No fancy shmancy, high quality sushi, sasimi here. This is Bento, Japanese style fast-food restaurant. In the kitchen, Mexican workers work here rather than Asian sushimen for more affordable food. It is almost never crowded, have boba/café place, coldstone next door, share VONS parking lot(as spacious as it gets), and cheap, tasty food that make me return there once every now and then. This is one of my favorite restaurant and am really surprised at 3 star review. Maybe they make lots of mistakes. Anyways, the best advice for me is to grab the Bento plate, then rolls/sashimi here. It will worth your buck. Best of luck to this local business :)

Small place with mediocre décor but our lunch was good and didn’t cost much. I noticed several people call in their order then picked it up to go. The guy at the register was not that nice(my perception). Free parking. Closed on Sunday. No boba, but you can buy it next door. Many pictures of food on the wall. The menu also has a lot of pictures.

NEVERGOINGBACKTOTHISPLACEAGAIN! I showed up to place 2 beef bowl orders to go… Simple, right? You would think! There was only one other person there when I got there. Five minutes later, two other customers came in to place a pretty small order each. TEN minutes later, everyone had left with their orders and I was still there. More people walked in so I asked the guy about my order. He said it was almost ready. THIRTYFIVE minutes after I placed my order, I decided I’ve had enough. I ask for my money back because«I had been waiting for almost 40 minutes». The cashier had the nerve to correct me to say it’s only been 35 minutes and that my order just came out. No apology whatsoever! He simply handed me my order and said«everyone came in at the same time». RIDICULOUS! Don’t order here unless you want to wait for 35 to 40 minutes for a simple to go order!!!

Cheap place to get some good rolls and I really like the spicy seafood udon soup. Came on a weekday and it wasn’t busy but the food did take a while to come out. I wouldn’t mind trying out some other stuff next time.

A colleague suggested this place for takeout. I got a spicy bento. It had teriyaki chicken, a kimchi-esque cucumber salad, and a great spicy tuna tempura roll made with sticky rice. So good.

I enjoy tuna and Philadelphia hand rolls(yes it exists!) and wanted to look for fairly affordable sushi places, this being one of them. Upon arrival, I was greeted and asked what I wanted to order. Right when I was placing my order, the employee picked up a call, didn’t even warn me, and continued picking the order. When he was does, I didn’t get an apology for the rude treatment. I tried hand rolls and wasn’t disappointed, but I wasn’t crazy about it. I had a craving, hence why I came, but won’t return because it wasn’t anything interesting. Parking was convenient since there’s a lobby plus in the same location as Vons. If you want sushi, Vons is a bit of a better option. At least you’ll get good service too.

I have to state that for the various sushi places that I have been to(even those of «fast-food» format) this is the worst one I’ve been to. The food is not fresh and does have a weird flavoring, but I disregarded it at first. Ended up having a stomach flu(or poisoning?) for the first time in my life that night, and could not think of anything that could have caused it but this restaurant. Beware of the sanitation of the food here.(I also don’t put reviews usually since I’m lazy to, but this is an exception.)

Food:2 stars Service: 5 stars Food: I am honestly not too fond of the food because I don’t feel too great after eating it. Maybe it’s because i always order the chicken cutlet. So i find this place to have the best chicken cutlet for the price especially when I am too lazy to cook chicken cutlet on my own. The only downside is I don’t feel so good as opposed to cooking it myself. Nonetheless, I enjoy eating the chicken cutlet. Service: if I remember correctly, the name of the server/cashier is Ernest. I would say he is absolutely fantastic. He always goes above and beyond. It’s as if he is a waitor there as opposed to just a cashier because(only when the store is not busy) he always brings the food out to my table and asks if I want water. The service is still spot on even if he doesn’t do all that waiter thing. I always asks for double rice with one extra Katsu sauce and I never got a wrong order. Thanks Ernest! Anyway, because of the great service, I rounded it from 3.5 stars to 4 stars.

I work a few blocks away and Wow Bento is one of those places that we order lunch from. I would say skip the sushi and try their Mix and Rice. I usually order the chicken Mix without rice, extra seaweed, and spicy dressing. IT’S SOGOOD! I have also tried their tuna salad which has also been very tasty, as well as their salmon handrolls and miso soup. All in all, this is a great lunch option and the owner/cashier is a very sweet man! Our office loves their food!

WOW I would give no stars if I could! This place has the worst quality of food I have ever encountered. Got a spicy tuna roll GROSS, dynamite roll. EVENWORSE the only okay thing I got was the house salad which was still pretty wilted and terrible. I hate writing reviews like this but seriously spent $ 30 and it wasn’t even worth to call and complain cause I would never go back to wow bento, ever! Beware my friends, go down the street and spend a couple extra bucks at Sakura or sakana!

If you can get over the fact that a sushi place is serving bibimbap, then this is a decent place to eat. They call it «beef mix and rice” — it’s a fast food version with pickled vegetables and bulgogi meat. Their sashimi rice bowl is pretty good too. Tip: if you’re swinging by after work call and order ahead. All the called in take out orders slow them down at dinner time. If you show up without calling expect a wait.

After visiting this place a few more times recently, I found that not once was my meat rotten!!! Wahoo! Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean that the place is great, but you do get what you pay for here and boy does this place scream of 3 stars exactly.

This place is not gourmet sushi. It is quick, inexpensive, tasty sushi. I use it for take out when I want sushi but don’t want to spend the money. They have a nice selection of sushi plates, noodle bowls and teriyaki plates. I warm up some hot sake at home and voila! I have a nice sushi and sake meal in front of the tv. for under $ 15(bottle included).

Food: 3 stars(average for a fast food sushi place) Service: 2 stars ==FOOD== — Spicy tuna salad: I would say the dish is ¾ salad and ¼ spicy tuna. Spicy tuna is not super fresh, but also not TOO fishy. A good amount of diced tomatoes, which I appreciate. Sauce is pretty good, kind of sour but a little too salty. For $ 7.99 it’s slightly overpriced imo, but its convenient and fast food. Healthier option when you’re not trying to get In-N-Out or McDonalds. — Bulgogi beef bowl: Ehhhh, meat is too sweet. I prefer Yoshinoya’s beef bowls by far. Would not order again. ==SERVICE== I don’t know where everyone else got their nice service, but I’ve never received anything but below average service here. Maybe it’s because I come around 8:30 — 8:45PM each time, but… they close at 9PM! First time I came, the girl at the cashier literally rolled her eyes and commented they were closing soon. Second time(which was yesterday), I came a little earlier so I did not receive the«rolling eyes» treatment. However, a man came in after me at around 8:50PM, and he asked if it was alright to order. The woman says sharply, «Yes. But… to-go order, right?» Ugh. Honestly, if you’re going to say you’re open till 9PM, it MEANS you take customers until 9, not kicking people out at 9. I hate it when customers have to feel sorry for coming in before the restaurant closes. ==AMBIANCE== Very small store. Since it’s usually empty, it feels awkward to eat there. My recommendation is take it to-go. ==TIPS== CASHONLY for purchases under $ 10.

This place had great costumer service. The food was great as well. I got the Beef Mix and Rice, and I’m in love. Not to mention, the Beef bowl is good for those who just want enough to satisfy. Five stars for sure.
