Unlike our competitors, our employees are bonded and covered under our worker’s compensation insurance policy. Your property is protected by our liability insurance coverage. Plus all taxes are paid for the employee, including federal, state, social security and unemployment.

Established in 1969.

Our parent company, J’s Maintenance has been providing janitorial services since 1969. We have always been here in Glendale and we are family owned and operated.

In addition to our commercial service, we also offer residential service through J’s Maid Service. Established in 1996, J’s Maids has been dedicated to serving the Foothills in California. We provide coverage for the Glendale/​La Crescenta/​Tujunga/​La Canada/​Montrose/​Sunland areas.

Antoinette S.

Manager

Antoinette began her career with J’s Maintenance 14 years ago when she joined forces with Ed and Chris Waldheim to manage the residential cleaning division of the company. Her contributions have established J’s Maid Service as a full service residential cleaning company that covers the Foothills area of California.

From our Glendale headquarters, Antoinette has grown the business from its humble beginnings of approximately 2 homes per week to 80+ homes. She attributes the success of J’s Maid Service to our dedication through great customer service. J’s Maids offers free estimates, and Antoinette personally conducts every single one because, «Providing in home estimates allows me to greet every single customer in-​person and better understand how to meet his or her needs.»

Hired J’s Maids to come and clean my house today. I was so pleased with their service. They even did my windows! The bathrooms sparkled. I will definitely have them back again.

Ok, needed a thorough cleaning before the house was rented out, we went local like we always try to do when we find somebody reputable. Well that didn’t work out well at all. The manager was going to send their best crew, but they must have been blind or drunk (or both). Filth everywhere, dust, grime, cobwebs, none of what was pointed out was cleaned. Very disappointing, yet, when the manager checked up on the job, they were surprised by the negative comments, very apologetic. Said she would come by and send another crew the next day, well, the next week went by and NOTHING, to this day, not a word. So apparently they are content with the miserable job they did. Servicing the local area, I would think they would have more concern for their customers, and their reputation, but apparently not. Never heard from them again, so FAIL, don’t use them unless you want to support the lazy and unethical. Nothing good to say here other than they were friendly BEFORE the got the job, after, big goose egg!

I didn’t have a chance to evaluate their cleaning expertise. I made an appointment for an estimate; they offered the next day between 11 and 11:30. I would have preferred a firm time since it was a workday, but I arranged to keep my schedule open between 11a and noon. The representative arrived about 5 minutes before noon. At that point I already had a phone meeting scheduled for noon, and it would have been rude of me to cancel on my colleague. Apparently the J’s representative had called and left a voicemail that she was running late. That didn’t work for me because I had already arranged my schedule based on the time window she gave me, and made promises to other people. When I returned her call, she explained that she had been late because she had to interview a new hire. I know that J’s has to make business decisions, and if they need to prioritize a new hire over a new customer, they have to do what’s best for their business. I can certainly understand that. But in my job, I have to keep a punctual schedule, so I don’t have the kind of flexibility available that they need from their customers. I was disappointed because I really need to hire a service, and I would have used that hour I set aside to interview someone else. They are located just 2 miles away from me, so they seemed ideal, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who has to maintain a schedule.

This has nothing to do with their maids. This review is all about their office organization and billing system. They really need to update how they bill or charge their clients.

I used them twice.
The first time I thought they did a great job. They are very expensive.
The second time they came they left early, by 10 minutes, but because of their price that’s money. My floors were also not done very well but the biggest disappointment was that my child’s beloved blankie was missing.
We did not accuse them, we know we could have lost it. I called them 4 times. They were polite but kept forgetting to call me back and admitted to forgetting to look for the blanket. The rags they use are blue and the same size as his blankie.
I even called for the 4th time a week past and a person there said they would search the girls car. Which should have been done a week prior. He never called me back.
Perhaps we lost it but the fact that they didn’t call us back really made me lose faith them being in my home and my child is without his favorite blanket we had had for 5 years.

The girls are so polite when they come into our office. They charge by the hour and they are SO FAST! Woah baby… I can’t believe it. I thought if they are hourly they will be slow as molasses but they ZIP through our office. They are easy to schedule — but yes, once we did have a bit of a scheduling fiasco. Still, DIGGS is happy to have them as our cleaning service when this girl gets a break :)
P. S. we always work with Antoinette — she gives awesome customer service. Love her.

Communication was great before, during and after the appt. While the «free» quote was not even close to the final amount, the job was well executed. They cleaned the top of my refrigerator, which I hadn’t even considered, lol. They dusted my bookshelves and cleaned under my living room lounge chair. I will use them again.

After my last review I received a call from the woman in the office from the woman who told me I was wrong about the time my appointment was scheduled, even though I had an email confirming I was indeed correct. She called to apologize that she had indeed made the mistake. She actually didn’t spend much time apologizing rather just trying to get me to reschedule and not call her boss. Needless to say I called her boss.

I’m not much for review writing, but had to comment on J’s Maids. I started with them a few months ago, and the first visit was amazing. I have to admit that the 3rd month was sub-​par, so I wrote an email. Immediately they went into action to check with the cleaning team. The months since have been back to the original stellar service. It’s so nice to have a service that is so responsive and does such good work.

We’ve been using J’s for about 4 years now. We LOVE them. They are reliable, trustworthy, appropriately priced, and most importantly they do a thorough job! We have two kids, two dogs and a cat… I can not keep up with the hair in our home! They leave my house so fresh and clean, and they use all green products and will use NO chemicals if you want. I work freelance, and they have also been very flexible if I need to change schedules sometimes.
I honestly can’t say enough great things about this company — they will work with you to provide the services that your individual family needs. Alicia is always friendly when scheduling, and there is always a reminder the night before they are coming.
They are the best!

Worst ever They don’t clean under beds They don’t open things to clean like a microwave. They have 3 hrs to clean and they do the least amount. Won’t move things such as a couch on rollers or clean behind anything. They are so bad. I found a lady that cleans in the area Not as much money. She knows how to clean and even does the refrigerator.

1) When scheduling an appointment, the office staff is very kind and flexible.
2) They followed up with a phone message the day before reminding me of the expected time frame of the arrival of the cleaning team.
3) They showed up when they said they would!
4) The ladies on the cleaning team were very friendly. One of them listened very intently to what I had to say about the different rooms in our house and the cleaning needs we had, which she then translated to everyone in detail.
5) The three of them went to work and I was amazed at how quickly yet thoroughly everything got finished.
6) The price is MORE than reasonable, for three people on a cleaning crew, and the level of thoroughness. I mean they lifted up every knick knack on every shelf and dusted. They wiped the walls down, the tub is spotless, the floors are swept, mopped, vacuumed — everything looks fantastic and our home feels so much more welcoming.
I recommend this service for all the above reasons. We will be regular customers.

As often as I’ve thought about it, I’ve never written a Unilocal review but J’s Maids are friendly and such great value, I had to.
They came on Friday. Jose cleaned the windows as they’ve never been done in the 18 years we’ve lived in our house. Every pane twinkles and so does everything in the house after four J’s Maids blasted through it.
They cleaned our 2,000 sq. ft. house in less than 2 hours, supervised by Antoinette. They did it efficiently and carefully. (One of them found a tiny piece of broken jewelry — three links of a gold chain — that she gave me in case it was important.)
It was a relief to know J’s Maids are insured and bonded and all the maids are employees, covered by worker’s comp with all employment taxes paid. And the best part — they use green cleaning products.
It’s exhilarating to stop seeing our house as yet more work to do and to just enjoy being home. We’re hooked!

They are amazing! The ladies walked into my home and instantly began cleaning. Within an hour my house was spotless and glistening. It usually takes me over 5 hours to get my home to look that way, but these women were able to do it in one hour. I was concerned about them overlooking details, but they were shining the floors even as they were walking out. Their prices are also very reasonable for what they do.

These are by far the nicest, fastest working and best people we have ever hired. they come in with a crew and knock it out. They are real pros. On top of that, they are a pillar of the Crescenta Valley Community, there is not a local event that I have scene that they have not sponsored.

The crews are organized, cheery and relentless on dirt. We used them for a final cleaning on an apartment and a first, much needed cleaning on our house after tenant occupation. The are so professional and cost effective! J’s is also very community oriented, which I’m very happy to support.

Um. the cleaning was great… but someone on the crew took about $ 4 in quarters from my coin dish (and I do my laundry– quarters are GOLD. Was even planning to do the laundry when i got home that day– so i knew exactly how much i had)… when i called to complain the woman offered $ 10 off my next visit because (of course) none of the cleaners confessed… They did kindly send a check for $ 5– not that that makes me trust them to have them clean again. SO, if you have an empty apartment, go for it… but if you care about your stuff– EVEN quarters– I’d suggest you go elsewhere.
