Leo, the owner of JLR Performance is the most honest, hardworking mechanic I have ever met. He has taken care of our Nissan Exterra and Nissan Versa for over 3 years. He has saved us so much money (JUST as Great as Serge’s on Foothill and Briggs-​but for half the price). He always get us in the morning we call & with one 12 year old car we are trying to get the most mileage out of… there have been many times he has saved us from missing a day’s work. I can’t say enough great things about his knowledge and customer service.

I’m originally from New York City so I don’t give out praise easily! But I’ve been going to Performance Auto for five years and have had my cars worked on many times. The business is among the fairest and most ethical I have ever engaged with. Let me put it this way. I have a new car under warranty and the dealership says they will do my oil changes for free. I still take it to Performance Auto because I know there won’t be any «surprises.»
Here’s what they do. 1) They fix the car on time and with the exact (I mean the exact dollar amount) that they say they will. 2) They fix the car on time. 3) They will not sell you a big fix when a smaller fix will do the job. In short, they do the job on time, honestly and they stand behind their work.
So, if you want to go to a place where you get free coffee and donuts but will play three times as much go to your dealership. If you want the job done correctly and for less, go to Performance and treat yourself to coffee on the way home!

JLR is trustworthy and very reasonable; no up-​sells or shadiness here. Leo and his brother are automotive professionals that care about your vehicle. The shop is easily accessible and close to freeways. Highly recommended!

Best place to take your car in for any kind of service. Leo is your mechanic! He’s honest, helpful, kind, and most of all very friendly. He always makes time for you. Gives you the best deal possible and gives you advice on your car. I decided to give him a try since his shop was close by and he has always helped me whenever my car is in trouble. Leo and his brother are the kindest most honest mechanics I have ever met! I’m glad I found someone who I trust to work on my car. And the price is unbeatable. I needed a whole new rear end differential. and the price difference between him and «ripoff» Allstate in La Crescenta was $ 2,000.00!!! Huge difference and my car has not been breaking down as often as it use to. Ever since Leo’s been taking care if it hasn’t broken down at all!!! Love JLR Automotive!

Leo has been my parents’ mechanic for about 15 years and mine for 8 years now. He is amazing. We have taken many cars to him over the years. He is ALWAYS honest, fair, and well priced. He won’t steer you wrong. If he thinks your car isn’t worth spending more money on — he will tell you. He is wise and a source of much expertise. I have a lot of respect for him and he has always treated me with the same.
I have had emergencies with my old car and no matter how busy he’s been, he has always made time to get my car fixed and for the fairest prices, too.
I will never go to another mechanic. My car would have to break down in another state for me not to tow back to JLR.
