This place has changed a bit since my last visit. All the massage tables are somewhat private now and they are regular massage height. No more bucket of hot water to soak your feet in. The woman who greeted me said«pay now!» I was used to paying at the end, but I’ll be paying either way, so I guess it doesn’t matter. I used to say that the term«Chinese foot massage» was an oxymoron, since out of the whole hour, they would spend a whole ten minutes on your feet. This visit, he spent about half an hour working on the feet. There is a bit of a language gap. These people know very little English and I don’t know any mandarin or Cantonese. This was a quiet visit. Many times, the masseuses would talk to each other or talk on their cell phones while working on me, and I would pretend I was in China. The massage was very relaxing and all is right in the world. The ending was a little awkward. I asked for change for a twenty because I wanted to give my masseuse a $ 5 tip. The greeter gave me two fives and said«you give him a $ 10 tip?» And I replied«no, I want to give him a $ 5 tip» I hope I’m not a cheapskate!

I have gone to Anna’s for many years and consider it an integral part of my health routine. They now have a location in La Canada which is much more aestically pleasing than the original in La Crescenta, but the skill level of the massueses is the same. Yes, sometimes I have had a better experience than at other times, but overall, the treatments are awesome and I have never had a bad experience. You just can’t beat the foot massage. Right now it is only $ 20 in La Crescenta and $ 25 in La Canada. You also can get various combos of foot and body massage. Anna and her staff are very knowledgeable and have helped me with various issues, including sciatica, when no one else could. I am truly grateful!

The owner Anna and her staff are very kind and attentive to the client’s needs for the massage. This is a small space, but the massage is very good and affordable. My boyfriend and I go on a regular basis.

We had a terrible experience here. Even though the massages are very low-cost, we will never go back! All during the massage, the two masseuses would stop massaging every few minutes and talk loudly to each other in a foreign language — not at all conducive to a relaxing time. We had a horrible experience so we decided not to tip. As we left the place, the owner actually ran after us to tell us we didn’t leave a tip. How awkward! We had to tell her to her face about our bad massage… she didn’t understand that you don’t leave a tip when service is unsatisfactory. She wanted us to leave a tip anyway!
