Foothill Progressive Montessori School & Academy

My daughter was happy and thrived during the five years that she was at Foothill Progressive. She was challenged and nurtured in a very old fashioned and respectful way. The school prepared her for the finest High School and she has been at the top of her class ever since! My daughter got to enjoy her childhood longer than most kids living in Los Angeles– there was no mean girl or consumer culture. I am grateful to the school and highly recommend!

My daughter had the benefit of attending the Foothill Progressive Montessori School (the pre-​school at 827 Houseman St.) prior to starting at the Foothill Progressive Elementary & Academy for Kindergarten. The transition couldn’t have been easier as most of her classmates went with her for the summer session. We were proud of the work she was doing in the pre-​school, but she really shocked us with the progress she made during her Kindergarten year. She is not only performing well academically and socially, but she continues to want to learn more, more, more!
The experience we have had with this school has been exceptional. Our daughter has a tremendous foundation on which she will build for the rest of her life. She has made some dear friends and as parents, we have too. It is difficult to put into words how much we have enjoyed being part of this school. We will be moving out of the state this summer, so we are truly sad to say goodbye to such an outstanding school, but we will all take the happy memories and the excellent experiences with us.

This is a great school with a very good academic curriculum and caring and intelligent teachers as well as a wonderful principal Mrs. Joseph. I would strongly suggest this school to every parent.
