Kent Powersports was opened in 2011 by Jeff Kent, the five time Major League Baseball All-​Star and 2000 National League MVP. I bought my motorcycle here back when they were strictly a Honda dealer (2010). I’ve continued going here after Kent Powersports took over for my routine maintenance + they did extensive repairs to my bike after a crash. I’ve never had any problems with their work. They seem to have pretty good deals on replacement tires. I like dealing with their service manager Brad. He has an impressive list of certifications hanging up in the shop. During my last visit this Fall however, I was a bit disappointed my service appointment took a long time to complete (+2 hours). All I had done was an oil change and safety inspection. I understand like any mechanic shop they do get busy but what ticked me off was the mechanic finished up with another customer’s motorcycle before mine, even though that customer arrived after me. The same mechanic worked on both of our motorcycles. Also, I think next time I will tell them to skip their test ride unless I have major work done because it took the mechanic an additional 15 minutes to complete. In the past mechanics never did test rides for routine maintenance, so I’m not sure when or why they instituted that.

Wow went there after reading all the reviews I hoped to check out one of the victory motorcycles however when I got there and I was there for 30 minutes and not one person approached me their inventory looked like they were almost out of business. It was a Saturday that I was there and it wasnt even that busy. I heard there was a Nother victory dealer in town but since I live on the southside of Austin. I thought I would try this place first I’m going to have to end up going to the other dealer now

I have been to Kent Powersports multiple times and each time reminds me to never go there again. I went there a few weekends ago to purchase a new CRF450 and spent over 40 minutes in their showroom being ignored while the staff just stood in a group talking to each other. One person did ask me if I needed help after 30 minutes, but was then told they are on their way home and to just flag someone down. When I walk in to spend that kind of money I am not interested in having to work to give them my business. Bought my CRF450 from another dealer the next weekend. I attempted to give them another shot due to convenience and called them to put a new tire on a wheel for my sons dirt bike and the service department asked if I bought the tire from them. I told them I did not and they said they couldn’t do it. I called the other dealer and they did it for free no questions asked. I typically never submit negative reviews on Unilocal,but people deserve to know there are better options out there for their purchasing and service needs.

Awful service if you are trying to buy. We were given a price on a bike and then informed about the military discount. Discussions we had included a trade in so our payments would stay the same. Once we finally got to chat with fiancé guy (an hour in), he upped the price and refused to give the sale price with discount promised before. Wasted several hours of our time. I will never go business here, no wonder they have a 2013 still on the floor. They don’t honor the quoted and online price.

Unfortunately it doesn’t let me give then «0 stars» I literally had to beg for a call back! I asked minimum 5 times for a call back! After 10 days I went elsewhere and within 1 day got my answers and purchases 2 Ruckus’s! Amazed at what lack of motivation to «sell» something the manager had! Anyone wanting a Honda? May I suggest Woods fun Center!

When I lived in San Antonio, I purchased two bikes from this dealer when they still had a subsidiary called Joe Harrison Powersports, but they were owned by Kent Powersports. I think they’ve moved since then, but either way I would steer clear of this dealer. I went in looking to purchase my 3rd bike from them because my bike was stolen. I went in, saw what I was looking for, then applied for financing to see what I qualified for. They came back and told me I didn’t qualify for the suzuki financing but I did qualify for a local credit union financing at a higher apr than suzuki. I told them I’d think about it and left.
I went to another local dealership, saw the same bike, applied for financing and told them joe harrison said I didn’t qualify for suzuki financing. They came back and told me I did in fact qualify for the suzuki financing. So what does this mean? Joe Harrison lied to my face and tried to cheat me into a higher apr loan. Unethical business practice? Yes, I think so. Like I said they have since moved to another location I believe, and maybe they replaced that fat troll of a finance manager, but either way this place should be avoided.

Hey Everyone just an FYI, here is my letter to the massive service experience I had at Kent Powersports on 35.
Went in to get a tire fitted waited there with my tire for someone to acknowledge my existence when the service manager finally did help he asked me if I bought my tire there I said no, and he was done. He said it was their policy not to install tires not purchased there.(ok but that’s not a service department that’s a dealership installation shop.) I made the comment ah, that’s why people won’t mess with you guys for service.
He then told me none of the dealerships in town provide this service like I have not ridden a bike for more than 20 years!
When I shook my head and started to walk out he said «be sure to tell your friends!» what a nice man!
So that’s what I am doing not only is Kent powersports expensive and their service department lame they also have no wish to even be friendly with potential customers.

Awful place. Expensive. They don’t return phone calls. They say early bird 8:00 am drop-​off for service, that really means 8:30. Does not come close to Woods Fun Center in customer service. And no I don’t work for Woods FC but I did buy my bike there because it took 10 minutes for anyone to come up to me and when I was ready to buy, they didn’t call me back.

Business was bought-​out… used to be Cowboy Honda.
GOOD: Service all makes of motorcycles. Have DNO (didn’t previously). Medium busy establishment so may need to wait a day or two on your service. Location is good for south Austin, Buda, Kyle area.
BAD: Very Pricey for common service items. (e.g., tire change should be around $ 50 front and $ 75. rear — BUT is charged as regular certified mechanic hourly charge, so expect your bill to be double this! Limited parts on-​site.
