Born and raised in Austin, Hi-​Tech has been around since 1986. We are a true bastion of the mom-​and-​pop shop so we treat our customers like family too. We pride ourselves with our honesty and integrity. Our mission is to do it right the first time so we can get you on your way and bring you the best service possible.

We have three convenient locations to serve you. Our flagship is on S. Congress Avenue, our largest is in Kyle and our newest is right in Oak Hill.

We specialize in automotive repair & body, used car sales (with in-​house financing), and auto recycling (salvage). We expertly handle your automotive needs from simple oil changes and state inspections to engine rebuilds.

Fully equipped with up-​to-​date software and diagnosing machines specific to your car, ASE certified and well versed in how to deal with insurance companies if you get in a collision. You have the right to choose your auto body shop, and we are here to help!

We understand that having car issues can be stressful so we do our best to make it one less thing to worry about by offering rental cars or even nearby drop-off’s and pick-​up.

A customer’s satisfaction is our main concern, this is why we show you exactly what is wrong with the car and explain the problem thoroughly.

Just the other day I happened upon Hi-​Tech Autimotive, here in Kyle. I needed an inspection immediately and I’d gotten there right at closing time. In a short period of time I was in and out. I’ve been to a lot of repair shops, and Ashraf has by far, the best shop I’ve been to; he’s even willing to state late so that I wasn’t at risk of receiving a ticket for an expired inspection.
Five stars from because Ash went above and beyond what any other mechanic has for me! I’ve already sent a referral, the same day I went actually because I was sooo very happy…

The first time my son had a an accident I took his new car back to the dealer to have the repairs done there. after a bad experience with the Mazda services, I decided to take my car back to High Tech in Kyle. More than anything because I feel I can trust Mr. Noureddine with my car, he is an honest person and respectful. I honestly recommend any of my friends to use high tech in Kyle for any car services and repairs.

Today I had the best customer service experience that was proceeded by the worst customer service somewhere else. I have been a customer of Hi Tech on Congress but recently moved to Kyle and remembered that there was a Hi Tech here. After a really terrible experience at a Big Box place earlier in the day that basically waisted most of my day, I remembered that Hi Tech was close by. When I drove up completely frazzled and upset from my experience I was greeted by a friendly face and more importantly the owner Ashraf immediately jumped in my car and started to figure the problem. He spent the next hour with me fixing the issue and making me the number priority. Who can ask for more? That’s exactly the ideal situation. He took the time to tread me like a queen, and I so needed that in my terrible mood. I have loved working with everyone down town and always new they were honest and upfront about the work that needed to be done. This just added to my love of Hi Tech. They care about the customer experience and have made a really cool deck covered in Grape vines and surrounded by peacocks. Thank you so much for saving my day!

I have been going to their South Congress and Kyle location for quite a number of years now and have been totally satisfied with their work and their outstanding customer service! Before discovering this gem-​of-​a-​shop, I have been taking my car to another great shop in South Austin. I would drop my car off and get a ride from my kids to get to work afterwards, which is an inconvenience. But at Hi-​Tech, you have the option of borrowing a loaner car at $ 10/​day and that added service made me switch garages. While the cars are not always car rental shop quality, esp. if you come in late in the day, but hey, for the price, it’s a great deal and a great convenience! Because they have been quite busy at the South Congress location the last few times my car needed maintenance, I started taking my car to their Kyle location. Ashraf and his crew, as expected, always deliver great service and I trust Ashraf to always quote me the best price for quality work. Thanks, Hi-​Tech!

They’re just off I-​35, pretty quick and saved me hundreds vs going to the dealer. The prices at Hi Tech were pretty comparable to other used part yards in the region. Plus, I like that I don’t have to go out in the yard to get it; they do! I’ll be back soon… hopefully not too soon.

Just got some work done on my Benz SL500, I had good idea going in of what needed to be done on it but I wanted to hear what they told me and how much it would cost (honesty check). They hit the nail on the head both with the cause of the problem and they were about $ 50 cheaper than what I was told the cost would be by other mechanics. They even offered me a loaner car and/​or to pick me up and drop me off. Also, there were no surprises, they gave me updates throughout the repair process along with the cost of the repairs. They are very nice guys and I will continue to use them.
ps — The repair shop is at the back of the lot, don’t freak out when you see all the used cars and parts cars in the front. Just drive to the back and you will see the repair shop.

I had major car issues and did not want to drive far. This place was the close.
When I got there, the guy asked if I lived nearby. I said yes, he offered to drive me home (and I accepted the offer). I told the guy I wanted the car back the same day if possible. Anyway, he didn’t call that day. The next morning I get a call from him. He said the car is all fixed up. He picked me up in my car and took me back to Hi Tech Auto. He said the car runs great and that he drove it home (HIS HOME) the previous night to test drive it («to make sure it runs ok»). I was shocked to hear that. I have never heard of a mechanic taking someone’s car home to test drive it (if it was a block or two, I’d understand, but he said he lived in Austin, so it was a 20+ minute drive!).
I got a huge bill. He said he cleaned the spark plugs (not replace) and said something wasn’t connected (due to incompetence of fast oil– change places). I got charged for 8 hours of labor.
If I known he was going to take my car out for a joy ride and make up a bunch of labor hours, I would have just stayed there. I asked around for how long that work he said he did would take… I was told 2 – 3 hours… sigh.
I got the impression they aren’t busy, so they wanted to keep my car for hours to rack up the bill…
I’m so glad that another car service place opened up in the area recently. I’m pretty sure they won’t screw me over.
