Its not the best shop… but its not the worst shop.

I will never return to this store. I walked into the door and the gentleman at the counter was arguing with someone on the phone. Finally when the store representative was off the phone I had told him I would like a oil change than he told me Iam sorry but we are all booked up for the day. There was not a single car in the parking lot or in the garage.

Terrible customer service! Scheduled appointment online. Arrived at store on time and they were no where close to take my car in for service. They had an additional 2 to 3 hour wait time. Which is ridiculous, when the website appointment scheduler does not reflect that at all. When I walked into the store there was already a line from the counter to the door, just shows that they don’t know how to handle more than a handful of cars at a time and shows that they are really slow at what they do or just don’t care. Never going back to Goodyear again.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience at this location. I went in for a vehicle inspection at 4:15PM and didn’t get out until 6:15PM. I must admit this was the longest vehicle inspection I have ever experienced. When my car was ready to go they also couldn’t find the key to my car. Normally a vehicle inspection should take 15 minutes. I was warned that it might take up to an hour, but I do have to say that 2 hours is quite absurd. This is concerning because if a vehicle inspection takes 2 hours, imagine what anything more involved would take. While I was there I also didn’t get they impression that the staff viewed anything they were doing as urgent. I don’t normally trust other people to work on my car an when a simple inspection takes 2 hours I begin to worry what else they are doing to my car.
I cannot recommend this location for others. If there was an option to give zero stars I would do it.

The lovely Sarah W. picked up a screw in her new tire, and I could not take the car in for her, so I originally sent her to Discount Tire in Kyle for a patch, where they attempted to scam her (and you can read my less than kind review I left them for their efforts if you care).
When her BS detector went off, she got out of there and went down the road to Goodyear, where Abel and the crew took great care of her. Auto services businesses that don’t scam women are worth taking note of, in my book. And Abel and the crew at Goodyear get 5 stars for fantastic customer service.

Abel and the staff at Goodyear treated me with the utmost respect when I stopped in this morning to get my tire patched.
I had just come from Discount Tire where they tried to scam me into buying a brand new tire before even attempting to look at the screw in my tire (See my review of Discount for more details).
At Goodyear — there was no problem, no mention of having to buy a new tire, no scams. Just friendly service. I felt respected at Goodyear and would def use them in the future!

Took my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation and a couple weeks later I found out two of my wheel bolts on two separate tires were misthreaded (meaning the nuts were put on wrong) causing them to break when removing them.
A tire place would be the last place I would expect that to happen. I really wonder if they have a QA or QC process to check their technicians work.

I made an appointment for my Fiat on a Thursday (for the following Monday) via Email. I also posted my phone number. When I arrived for my appointment they told me they did not carry the filter to fit my vehicle. I would need to drive to Slaughter Lane because they carry that product. I left, stopped at the recently opened Firestone. They did NOT carry the Fiat filter. BUT, even tho I DID NOT have an appointment, they would go get one and do my oil change. NOW THAT IS Customer service! My question is why would GOODYEAR NOT have the product in stock when they KNEW I was coming in for service in 3 days? They gave me an excuse that they tried to call. BUT could not leave a message. No one else has a problem with the machine not working! An email would have worked also!

My experience here was okay. I came here for 4 new tires on my car, and nothing else. I will say that I called for a quote on four tires and after telling them they were a bit higher than a competitor close by, the manager dropped the price over $ 200. This is an obvious good thing for me, but it makes me question their business practices.

This place is useless… I show up and workers are just standing around holding up outside walls and the counter guy asks what I would like, I say an oil change and he said was I willing to wait? I said why, are you busy? He replies with there is an appt ahead of you, so I said I would wait. Then «so called» counter help says, well there is 2 other appointments after that. I replied with, you guys are useless and tore up my coupon and left…
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!

Worst service I have ever seen! I walked in and said I needed a oil change. I explained I had my oil changed last with full synthetic oil, in which I was not wanting again. He then proceeded to tell me I needed the synthetic again, all while having a attitude as If I was wasting his time. Lucky for me my family works for a Chevy dealer in austin and told me that it was false! I confronted him about that and he immediately became rude, judgmental, and the worst sales employee I have ever in countered! I will never be back to this Goodyear again.

OMG… read Katie K. comment from 2−21−13 and now know for a fact we were scammed… again.
In Oct. 2012 our CEL also went off but the car stalled and had to be towed in. Goodyear was the closest place and being new to the area we did not know where to take it. They also blamed it on a «sensor» but kept telling us «this needed to done and that needed to be done» and the bill kept going up and up, finally to 900.00. Was very unhappy but trusted they were honest because of the name of the company.
Yesterday the light went off again but the car was driveable. Knowing we had a 6 mo. warranty we took it back to them. Again they said it was a «sensor» again but of course it wasn’t the same one so it was not covered. They said they would give us a «discount» on the labor but would still be around 200.00. We said we would let them know what we wanted to do but decided to pick up the car and try to do the work with a friend to save money. Went to pick up the car and the work had been done, without a ok. We were livid but wanted to be fair since the work had be done. After a back and forth with manager they did give us another 5% off which did not make us happy. The bill still came to 180.00 which we were totally overcharged on the parts. The manager also said (after the bill had been paid) «oh we found a paper on the air cleaner»…we have our doubts that was probably the only thing wrong to begin with. The manager did finally tell us he would give us 2 free oil changes but that will never make up for how ripped off we feel.
We are eldery trusting people but now really feel we have been taken to the cleaners by Goodyear. All we can say is BEWARE taking your vehicle to this place and don’t make the same mistakes we did.

Alright, here’s the deal– the customer service was awesome. Everyone there was very kind and accommodating and the store was clean and well-​kept.
Here’s the bad part– My CEL came on and I took the car in to this location. After being charged a $ 90 diagnostic fee (which is LUDICROUS) I was told that both my 02 sensors were bad and needed to be replaced. This would cost me well over $ 600 and I was asked several times to sign up for a Goodyear credit card. Something seemed fishy about this so I said ‘no thank you’ and took it to a different mechanic for a second opinion. This mechanic quoted me $ 300 (yeah, HALF the price of Goodyear) but ended up taking a look at my vehicle and found out that it was not, in fact, my 02 sensors, but a simple fix that cost me literally no money. My car has been running great ever since, and this was well over a month and a half ago. No Check Engine Light. No nothing.
Long story short– Goodyear would have happily taken my $ 600 to «fix» something on my car that was fine in the first place.
I will never, I repeat NEVER take my car to be serviced at a Goodyear again. I do not doubt that this is a company-​wide policy and not just a mistake on this particular store’s part. Goodyear has forever lost my business and I am BEGGING anyone who uses their services to get a second opinion from a different, reputable mechanic.

Nice staff, but I felt «taken». Had a coupon from the back of the HEB for a $ 15.95 oil change. Went in to use that and get a front directional bulb changed. They charged me the right amount for the oil change and then quoted me $ 3 for the bulb and $ 59.yes, $ 59 for a ½ hour of work to change the bulb. I was really surprised considering I had the other bulb changed in Austin, at the dealership, just a few months ago and was charged nowhere near that. I didn’t have time to go into Austin, so I reluctantly agreed to it (especially since I had a toddler in tow) and was already there and waiting… 10 minutes into the 30 that it was going to take for labor, to change the bulb, the car was ready. Upon checking out, I was told that I should think about replacing the tires on my vehicle as they were already 3 years old (my car is an 09) and worn… Funny thing is, I just had them ALL replaced last month with brand spanking new tires from the dealer?! Paid and got into my car — checked my paperwork from when the dealer had changed the other directional bulb a few months ago… was $ 12.50 for bulb AND labor. as nice as the staff was, will NOT return!

My car broke down 20 miles from my 90 mile destination. After waiting 2 Hrs for a tow, I ended up at Kyle Goodyear, my first good break. Jason, waives the diagnostic fee and offered a driver take me to my rescheduled appointment. It couldn’t be fixed that day, so they got it fixed the next day and kept my car secured in their garage until I could get a ride back a couple days later. No pushing extra «repairs», no fees to hold the car. He saved the broken part to show me. Price was very competitive even though I was really jammed between a rock and a hard place. Jason is a good guy to deal with. I’d go to them all the time if it wasn’t 1 ½ hrs away!

I took my car there for an oil change. I was a little worried about their estimate of an hour, but it was done in about 25 minutes. They have free wi-​fi, which is a plus, but it is painfully slow. Still it allowed me to be productive and get some work done while I waited.
They have coupons in the local paper and on the back of the receipts at HEB, which brought the total to about $ 21, that’s about $ 10 less than I usually pay. I plan to continue to take our cars there for oil changes.

These guys were great and fast. I had a bubble in my right front tire 2 weeks ago and the PepBoys near Lake Creek pkwy did not have the right tire. Ended up putting a new, but wrong size tire on it to get home. I called around and could not find my odd size tires anywhere. Was in Kyle on business and stopped in to see if they had anything close. The manager was symapthetic and went out of his way to help. End results were a new set of tires at a reduced price.
