I like everything about Five Guys except how the food responds to my body. After 10 minutes of eating a Five Guys burger it is almost guaranteed that I will need to go to the restroom. Now. It’s a five guys so if you have been to one you have been to all of them. They got free peanuts, they have their press all over the walls, and they provide a fast friendly service. The only reason they get 2⁄5 stars is because of how my body responds to their food. Just can’t do it.

I gave this place a try due to was craving a burger. I was not impressed due to the burger was very greasy. Fries were not impressive. Customer service was great. Burger craving, I would go elsewhere.

Best Five Guys I’ve ever been to!!! These guys really know how to take care of their customers. We are accustomed to being able to share regular fries and we had a bad experience in one occasion where they barely even filled the cup up to the brim. We debated whether we should get regular or large fries this time, due to our previous experience, but my boyfriend was quick to say that Five Guys has never done that any other time. The cashier overheard our conversation and was quick to let us know that not only will the fries be free of charge, but he was going to make sure that we were taken care of. And boy were we! Our bag was overloaded with fries! We are extremely happy and satisfied! BIGTHUMBSUP!

I would like to give a sincere apology to anyone who had a bad visit to our location in Kyle. I would also like to invite all of you back out for a chance to redeem ourselves. We have changed our staff and now have dedicated people who care about customer service and will take care of you in the manner a guest should be treated. Once again I apologize for your poor treatment and hope you return for a great burger and fries!

I FINALLY got to try out Five Guys. I seriously have been wanting to try this place out for about 2 years now. I was not disappointed. I ordered the little bacon cheeseburger with some fixin’s. The top bun fell apart on me towards the end, but the taste was great. I usually cut any burger I eat in half(mouth is small). I didn’t have to cut this burger in half. For adding as many fixin’s as I did, I was quite surprised I could just hold it and eat it like normal. I think it was a great burger and only about $ 2 above the average burger(the size I ordered with one patty.) My complaint comes with the fries. Not with the taste. The Cajun fries were excellent! But the size… geez. We ordered the large Cajun fries and the guy looked at us and said, «the regular is plenty for two.» We still decide we want the LARGE Cajun fries. The guy interjects, «that’s enough to feed about 4 or 5.» We still get the LARGE. Well heck, I’m not sure who or what size these people are, but there was definitely only enough for two, possibly three people, at best . So in conclusion, I still think I’d choose Whataburger on the reg, but Five Guys would be a place I’d go to again. I would give 5 stars, but the fries size disappointed.

Tasty, but c’mon — $ 13:50 for the minimum: burger, fries, small drink. And RAW sliced jalapenos? I understand meat prices are high, but this place(and the other trendy burger shops) are charging way too much and seem to appeal to people who think paying more translates to a better burger. No longer a cheap and quick on-the-go meal, but a «burger experience»(please). I miss the good old days when burger joints were walk-up, order at the window, and eat at a picnic table. What you paid went for the food and not the high overhead of an upscale facility. This experience has convinced me to stick with home-cooked burgers from now on(the best anyway).

This place tries way too hard to be something it is clearly not. Go to Mighty Fine Burgers up in Austin and experience an absolute perfection in burger creation. Went here about two weeks after they opened as to avoid the startup issues most restaurants experience. Music was cranked up so loud I literally had to shout at the kids and wife to ask what they wanted. We got the order to go(about $ 50) as to avoid having my ears assaulted while I eat. Got it home about a mile up the road and OMGWHATTHEHELLISTHIS? Burgers were soggy and nasty, hardly any flavoring in the patty and the fries were also nasty. When I say nasty, I mean undercooked. Kids wouldn’t eat half of their Burgers. It was bad enough the wife put all of this«food» back in the bags and drove it back up there and requested a refund. The manager there tried her hardest to let them remake the order but the wife was not interested. Money back, restaurant stricken from the list of acceptable eateries. This one is a pass. On another note«Danny L», the reason we can’t have«nice things» is due to half @ssed implementations and executions of restaurants in Kyle. Has very little to do with reviews on Unilocal. There are plenty of good reviews for amazing restaurants that execute on a much higher level than this place.

Not at all impressed. Overcooked, and overpriced burgers. Soggy fries. Stale peanuts! Like they got wet or something. ?? Inattention to detail on orders. As mentioned before, the employees here, act like you are bothering them, when you need, or request something. They made my burger incorrectly, and I had to return up to the counter to get the items I had requested. Instead of making them remake it, I removed the incorrect items, and put the correct ones on myself. They looked at me like I had done something wrong. LoL!!! I have given this business 5 opportunities to win me over, as they came highly recommended by someone I trust. I am disappointed on each visit. I even tried the location in San Marcos, and Corpus, to see if it was just here. Nope. The other locations were friendlier, but had similar quality issues. If I wanna pay $ 11+ for a burger & fries, it will be at a location that knows how to properly make them.

Five guys is one of my favorites and have been to multiple locations. I will say this one is the worst of the three. The burger patty was good but the bun had been toasted ahead of time and was ice cold. It ruined the experience because the bun is already not great. Please look at a better bun it will make the burger unbelievable. The current bun is cheap.

Love the food at 5 guys, but customer service here has me going anywhere else; 90% of staff more concerned with cell phones vs actually doing the job. No bueno

It is just about the best burger you can get in the area and while it is pricier than something like McDonald’s and Wendy’s — it is a far cry tastier. The fries are amazing and they are very generous in their portions.

Good Burgers! Something I didn’t expect, was the double beef on the top four menu items. I like that. Fresh ingredients… didn’t get to try the seasoned Cajun fries but will next time. Good place… will go again… if craving a good burger. A drive thru would help time wise, but maybe the quality would suffer a bit.

Chain Burger, Fries, and a drink for $ 14. F-that. Also maybe if they didn’t blast the AC constantly here they could bring the prices down a bit. Just saying.

Kyle– these negative reviews are why we can’t have nice things. And they show a lack of some common sense among our community. I’m sure there are plenty of other fast food joints infiltrating our town you’re more comfortable at. One where signs are more obvious, or HAMBURGER joints that cater to the vegetarians. This place is great, has every single thing been perfect every single time? No, but it’s consistent and it’s a food chain after all. We all should spend more time promoting the small businesses anyway.

My family and I went into Five Guys the other night to eat. No where in the place is it posted they cook with peanut oil. I just happen to see the large containers of oil sitting in the boxes… I asked before we started to order if everything was cooked in peanut oil and the girl at the counter stated yes. We left and did not oder due to my peanut allergy… Its to bad that they didn’t post a sign after we stood in line for 10 minutes to find out we can’t eat there…

I was there for lunch yesterday, so hungry I felt like I could have eaten anything, at least until my food was in front of me! I ordered the Vegetarian sandwich, which was bell peppers, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. The bell peppers were raw, the onions were cold, and the American cheese slice was barely melted on the corner and still cold in the middle. The whole assembly looked like it touched the grill for a second before it was scooped up and served on stale bread. I’m not one to complain about my food. I’ll eat almost anything that’s in front of me, especially when I’m that hungry, but this was absolutely horrible. I was going to be late for work if I had stayed at that time, so I had to leave and come back to talk to the manager after work. When I did, I met the most wretched person ever. She reprimanded me for not addressing the issue during my lunch break, and told me «I’m not surprised you didn’t like the Vegetarian sandwich, you should have ordered something with flavor»! Now, that is a direct quote! I’m not sure in what world grilled onions and bell peppers are considered bland. Maybe I should have consumed an undercooked hamburger instead? She was indignant about my report, and said that it was impossible for my food to be undercooked, she made it herself. So, perhaps she is fallible and doesn’t achieve perfection 100% of the time. Or, perhaps there is some training this store manager is lacking. Either way, my complaint over undercooked food was not a personal attack, to take it as such is unprofessional. If you’re the GM, please contact me. I’ve been in customer service my entire adult life. If one of my employees acted like this, they’d be fired. I’ve never written a bad review before now. I’m going to contact your corporate office as well.

You get what you pay for. I’d rather pay more here and get exceptional customer service, great food and a clean environment than pay half the price for terrible customer service, okay food and bathrooms that give you herpes just by walking in. They employees here seem to enjoy their jobs. We were greeting with smiles and exuberance. The girl who took our order was polite and friendly. The food was amazing and the shake was the best! We’ll definitely come again!

This place just opened. I am thankful we have someplace other than Mexican, Chicken or Chinese. My 8 year old wanted a burger. This place does not have a kids menu at all. I got him the smallest burger they had, fries and a drink and it was over $ 13, which is way too much for a hamburger place. It took 25 minutes to get our order. They had a ton of people working there and the service was still slower than Christmas. I understand that this place just opened up. The service could have been much quicker. The fries were over seasoned with salt. They were hot and fresh, but too salty. My son could not finish his burger. I did try it and it was over cooked, the meat had too much filler and it was bland. I expected the quality to be much higher, especially since there were all these signs on the wall that say that they had the best burger. I am glad there is a new place in Kyle; but, I will not be back.
